Re: Review: Wolfenstein: The New Order (PlayStation 4)

I'll probably pick this up when it goes down in price. I liked the last Wolfenstien, but it helped that I basically got it free. This one to me sounds like a major step down to me. The graphics aren't as colorful, and the story sounds more melodramatic than a crazy fast-paced shooter deserves. While I like my shooters fast-paced, I quite liked the progression and customization in the previous game, and the new progression system doesn't sound particularly appealing to me. I do want to try it, because fast-paced shooters are a rarity these days, but nothing about this game screams day one in my eyes...

Re: Sony Just Revealed More PS4 Games Than We Have Time to Talk About

Most of them look pretty damn cool. In fact, I think Starwahl and Pantheon are the only ones I'm not interested in, though I'm still a bit iffy on Nidhogg and Ironclad Tactics...

Also, guys, good games are good games. Who cares whether they're AAA or Indie? Why do you need Super huge graphics? I thought games were supposed to be played, not looked at.

PS3 and PSVita. I'm getting it for the Vita since I got Rainbow Moon for the PS3.

As for this game, it certainly looks better than when I saw it before. I'll keep an eye on it and see where it goes. I will say that I'm liking how they're wording things, making it sound like you're trying to make a game that's a unique take on old mechanics, innovating and revitalizing them instead of just copying them (which is the impression I keep getting from a lot of other Kickstarter RPGs). It sort of makes me think of 3D Dot Game Heroes, which parodied the Zelda franchise, as well as Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy, but still took to heart the lessons learned from those games and tried its best to refine the mechanics it was parodying, creating a game that stood out on its own merit.

Hopefully you guys can live up to your ambitions.

"Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 falls short of the high bar set by its predecessor"

Gee, they sure have lowered the bar for what counts as a "high bar" these days.

But seriously, the first game was okay, but not more than that. If this game is worse, I won't even go near it.

I'll have to read the review more thoroughly, but I had a feeling some of the additrions would be questionable. I was going to wait for a sale unless it turned out to be stupendous or something, but only because I'm short on cash at the moment.
