Aaaand @TOMBOY25 already posted the Gif I was gonna use. Might double dip and get the PS4 and Vita versions when I can. And no dub is fine. Half the series aren't even represented in English. Gonna be annoying having Goku sound like a little girl, though...
@Gamer83 Personally I don't see what's supposed to be so great about it. But then again, I could say that about half the stuff that gets praised on this site. Y'all have terrible tastes, man. I'm out.
@keyser_soze No, you use your mana cards to "buy" cards, which you use to build a deck, which each do their own things and each have their own point values once the main point pool has been emptied (which you earn by utilizing your deck - destroying monster cards (including the infinitely respawning Heretic, which is special), playing certain cards, or by earning trophies (depending on the rules)), then the point values of each deck as well as the points earned from the pool as totalled. Whoever has the most points wins. Then all the cards go back into the main deck and you start from scratch yet again.
Love this game to death and it'll probably look great on the PS4. Kinda hoping the dude starts making another game soon, though. Can only play the same game so many times...
This is easily the best card game I've ever played. I don't think I'll double dip, though. Spent over $20 on the iPad version already after the expansions...
Just so everyone knows: This is a deck builder. It's less about "Pay to win" and more about resource management. To keep it short, there's a main pool of cards everyone can take from (only 7 are available at a time, including monster cards that require an attack resource, which give special rewards, except for 3 resource-related cards that are always available) and everyone starts with the same 10 cards - 8 apprentices (mana cards for gaining cards, including better mana cards) and two militia cards (for your attack). The goal is to build your deck from pool (whilst also gaining points from a point pool) and whoever has the most points + best cards (denoted by a little symbol in the corner of each card) wins the game. It's a whole different ball game from a TCG and I love it.
Also, the AI can be stupid. Unless I'm just really good. I've only played two online games and won both, so there's a possibility...
I'll likely pick this up in October. However...I doubt I'll ever play it. Xillia sucked and I'll probably never finish it. It's too long a game to simply look for the cutscenes, too....which is all a shame, since it sounds like this'd be a lot better.
@Johnnycide You're right, in that "alas" is usually used when the next thing you're about to say is negative. I guess a "But that's not everything..." or something of that nature might've worked better in that context.
@odd69 "It's a ____ Rip-off" is not an opinion you can just hide behind. It's a statement others can refute. If you're not willing to back your statements up, don't cry when others are able to tear them down.
@odd69 "It reminded me of it a bit" does not warrant calling it a rip-off. If you didn't like the feel, just say you didn't like the feel. It's not that hard. No need to make slanderous comments instead.
@Heavyman99 Atlus never had a European publishing branch until very recently, when they became a part of Sega. Don't blame them for things they couldn't prevent. If you want to be mad at anybody, be mad at Ghostlight. They published most of your Atlus/Index games, they were the ones who took forever to get them out.
@odd69 Did you even play it for more than 5 seconds before you said that? There's hardly any similarities between the two. Disregarding the enormous differences between their gameplay, they take their stories in completely directions. Not to mention Metro's based on a book that was published in 2005.
This looks one of the few remasters worth shelling out for. Might pick it up early just to know I'll have it when I inevitably have to shell out for a PS4.
I doubt it would've helped anyone but Sega and the 10 people who would actually buy it. Still would be nice if Sega bothered to publish anything good in the west, though, especially now that they have Atlus to help them out...
I still need to know way more about WiLD before I get excited. I'm not even sure exactly what you're supposed to do in that game, for one thing...and I want to know how prevelant those share features they're planning will be (the fact that they're planning them at all has me worried enough).
@rastamadeus Um...actually, yes, adding an expansion to a full game does make it more expensive. This isn't fairytale land where games get made with the wave of a magic wand. The base game still goes for $30 on the PS3. The upgrades + a full expansion certainly warrants a return to full price. Not to mention they'll be patching in new content for free later down the line.
Not saying you gotta pay it - I'm not paying full price for it, but only because I don't care about most of PS4-exclusive editions while UEE is also on PS3 for $20 less, albeit with no patch support. But that doesn't mean it doesn't have a good reason to be priced the way it is.
Oh wow, this game looks really cool, maybe now there'll be more than two exclusives for the PS4 I actually want-
"On the tech side, because WiLD is created exclusively for PlayStation 4, the game will use the full power of the console and all its crazy sharing capabilities"
No. Only game they've released in the last 5 years that I liked was the first Dead Space. Series went to crap after that. Only game they got coming out that I want is Battlefront, and I'm in "wait 'n' see mode" for that...
I've yet to finish the first, but this one is the one I wanted most anyways. I'll be sure to finish the first ASAP so I can get into this when it comes out in September.

Re: Review: Shadow Warrior (PlayStation 4)
I love reviews that score low, yet still sound like nearly-perfect games when I read them.

Re: Review: Velocity 2X (PlayStation 4)
Still looks like a two-bit game to me. I'll pass.
Re: A Brand New Entry in the Beloved Ys Series is Coming to PS4 and Vita in 2015
@Demi_God It's easier if I just show off a trailer of the last game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfi3CQHSGLg
Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Sony's Pre-Tokyo Game Show Conference?
Only a few games worth mentioning, and hardly anything was shown of them. Kinda boring, IMO. The best ones we already knew were coming...
Re: Dragon Quest Meets Dynasty Warriors in PS4's Dragon Quest Heroes
Probably grab the PS3 version. But yay Dragon Quest/Dynasty Warriors!
Re: Disgaea 5 Brings Tense and Tough Tactics to Japanese PS4s in 2015
Probably gonna grab the (inevitable) Vita version. But yay Disgaea!
Re: Surprise! Persona 5 is Coming to PS4 After All
Probably grab the PS3 version. But yay Persona!
Re: A Brand New Entry in the Beloved Ys Series is Coming to PS4 and Vita in 2015
Probably grab the Vita version. But yay Ys!

Re: Review: Tales of Xillia 2 (PlayStation 3)
@Diddy_kong Because it's a Tales game. If you knew the history of the franchise, it would not be hard to understand.
Re: Review: Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair (PlayStation Vita)
This is the game I've been waiting for. I still have to finish the first, but I'm getting pretty motivated now.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 36
Fallout New Vegas (PC)
Diablo III: UEE (PS3)
Final Fantasy XII (PS2)
realMyst (PC)
Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii)
F-Zero GX (GCN)
Super Mario Sunshine (GCN)
Fragile Dreams: Farewell to the Moon (Wii)
Wonderful 101 (Wii U)
Wild Arms 5 (PS2)
Soul Blazer (Other Means)
Azure Striker Gunvolt (3DS eShop)
But Diablo 3's gonna suck up most of my time. My holiday weekend extends all the way to Thursday, though.
Re: Ubisoft Keeps its Blade Hidden by Delaying Assassin's Creed Unity into November
@PoNY_LTD They might, now it's in the same timeframe as their own Far Cry 4, so one of them's gotta move.
Re: Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer Bringing Deck Building to PS Vita
@keyser_soze Those games you mentioned are Trading Card Games, which is actually very different from a deck builder like Ascension. See my post above.
Re: Dust: An Elysian Tail Flaunts Its Fur on PS4 Really, Really Soon
Love this game to death and it'll probably look great on the PS4. Kinda hoping the dude starts making another game soon, though. Can only play the same game so many times...
Re: Alone With You Brings Psychological Romance to PS4 and Vita
Romantic or not, it looks intriguing. I'll keep a close eye on it.

Worst list I've seen in a while. Oh well, this month is packed with new releases anyways.

Re: Review: Metro Redux (PlayStation 4)
I thought I saw it for $40 a month ago. Might still grab it, but it'll have to wait a few weeks now. Next purchase is Ultra Street Fighter 4, anyways.

Re: Review: Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 (PlayStation Vita)
Good to hear this better than the first, which was one of the worst RPGs I've played. I might pick it up sometime down the line.
Re: Review: Hohokum (PlayStation 4)
@viciousarcanum I think in this case at least it's more: PushSquare likes games that are actual games. (Journey notwithstanding, apparently)

Re: Store Update: 19th August 2014 (North America)
@XFsWorld Wait, when did they have them?
Re: Review: Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition (PlayStation 4)
@thedevilsjester Obviously the real question is:
Re: Review: Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition (PlayStation 4)
@SimonAdebisi PC version doesn't have couch co-op. Therefore your argument is invalid.

Re: Review: Hohokum (PlayStation 4)
This sounds a lot like Journey, but without the overinflated hype. Still not getting it, though.
Re: Out This Week: Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, Diablo III, Tales of Xillia 2
@get2sammyb That's too bad. I won't be getting the PS4 version.
Re: Out This Week: Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, Diablo III, Tales of Xillia 2
You guys gonna review the PS3 version of Diablo III:UEE?

Re: Gamescom 2014: Assassin's Creed Rogue Looks a Heck of a Lot Like Black Flag
^What world do you live in? Assassin's Creed has been a shameless cashgrab since Brotherhood.
That said, I approve of more pirate-y action. Considering how bland Unity looks, this gives me more reason to stay with the PS3 a while longer.
Re: Talking Point: Would You Pay for an EA Access Subscription on PS4?
No. Only game they've released in the last 5 years that I liked was the first Dead Space. Series went to crap after that. Only game they got coming out that I want is Battlefront, and I'm in "wait 'n' see mode" for that...
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 32
Probably RealMYST and Crimson Shroud, perhaps with a little The Dark Spire here and there. Really enjoying all these games immensely, btw.
Re: Square Enix Unlocks Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX Limited Edition on PS3
@ToddlerNaruto Okay. S-E was being sneaky with the wording on that picture...
Re: Feature: We're All Going on a Sony Summer Holiday
Zack's Island, of course. The scenery is absolutely beautiful:
And speaking of snakes, I kinda wish I remembered to turn safe search on before looking that up...
Re: Square Enix Unlocks Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX Limited Edition on PS3
Waitwaitwait: Do I have to pre-order to get the Final Mixes?
Re: Weirdness: Final Fantasy Meets Batman With This New Play Arts Figure
Super Mechabatman Ultimate? You mean the Big-O?

Re: So, Does Destiny Look Any Good on the PS3?
Jesus Christ, I barely see a difference. If I pick it up at all (big "IF") I'll probably go with the PS3 version.
Re: Visit the Beach with Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair's English Trailer
I've yet to finish the first, but this one is the one I wanted most anyways. I'll be sure to finish the first ASAP so I can get into this when it comes out in September.
Re: Out This Week: Crimsonland, Abyss Odyssey, and Tumbleweeds
One Piece, by a country mile.
