Re: Feature: Games of the Generation - Jamie's Five Favourites

I'm surprised you picked Killzone 3 over 2. I haven't played 3 yet, but I loved Killzone 2, despite it's lack of color and variety in settings. I keep hearing that KZ3 is the lesser experience in terms of story, and perhaps even gameplay as well. Perhaps I should pop in my copy of KZ3 sometime, just to try it out? Granted, it seems you choose 3 more for its motion controls, something I've never cared for.

Also, props for mentioning Vanquish, that game is a real treat.

@FullbringIchigo You're not alone, man. Heck, Half of these games are my least favorite games of this generation. Namely MAG and Heavy Rain. I just made a list of games I felt stood out this gen somewhere else. Maybe I'll post them in the forums...

EDIT: No offense intended towards Nathan. I'm sure it's been obvious for a while that our tastes just don't line up.

Ah man, I missed this one. This was one of the best reviews I've read here. And its good to know Pirate Warriors 2 is really good, I've been wanting that one for a while now, but I wasn't sure if it was worth it if I owned the first one. (which I do, and admittedly still gotta finish) Guess I'll be picking this up soonish.

Re: Shin Gundam Musou Looks Like Absolute Carnage

@grevin56 Despite the trailer, they're meant to be fodder for your musou gauge, and it's fighting against other superpowered characters (who are much smarter and stronger) that's the real challenge. Also, it has some psuedo-strategy elelements to it.

Ultimately though it's supposed to be dumb fun and pure fanservice. Every once in a while it's just nice to wreck a bunch of guys.

@Gemuarto Yeah, I wasn't gonna say anything, but you kind of summed up my thoughts on the matter. Heck, I don't think even being a different kind of Zombie game will be enough to hold my interest anymore, I just that tired of them. I'm tired of Shooters, I'm tired of grim stories, I'm tired of "tough" decisions, I'm tired of "realism"...I honestly don't think I'd play this, or any other game even remotely like it for a very long time, if ever.
