I'm surprised you picked Killzone 3 over 2. I haven't played 3 yet, but I loved Killzone 2, despite it's lack of color and variety in settings. I keep hearing that KZ3 is the lesser experience in terms of story, and perhaps even gameplay as well. Perhaps I should pop in my copy of KZ3 sometime, just to try it out? Granted, it seems you choose 3 more for its motion controls, something I've never cared for.
Also, props for mentioning Vanquish, that game is a real treat.
@FullbringIchigo You're not alone, man. Heck, Half of these games are my least favorite games of this generation. Namely MAG and Heavy Rain. I just made a list of games I felt stood out this gen somewhere else. Maybe I'll post them in the forums...
EDIT: No offense intended towards Nathan. I'm sure it's been obvious for a while that our tastes just don't line up.
I might pick this up. I feel bad passing up a game that's released below my usual limit, and the PS3 R&C games had a tendency to be a tad too long, so this shorter length suits me just fine.
All 40 of my PS3 games would be nice, not counting that one MMO. Dunno if I'll make it, but I'll try. Still got about 2 years until I intend to grab a PS4, though there are still plenty of PS3 games I still want, too.
I'm grasping at straws to find a positive here...it'll be a good test to see how fast you can download something from Playstation when it's under heavy load?
Glad someone's thinking. I like the Wii U, but the touch pad itself isn't a good idea, nor is it that useful. It's hard enough to look at a screen that's close to another screen, at least you still have periferal vision there. But having to look down at your lap is far worse.
Good to see a review from someone who's not entirely burnt out on the Franchise. I was hoping to grab this one so I could play it after I finally finish the First Disgaea. Sounds like that might be worth it.
Pokemon X and possibly some Resident Evil 4. I definitely want to play more Puzzle & Dragons, as well as some of my recently purchased PSN games (thank you Capcom).
Ah man, I missed this one. This was one of the best reviews I've read here. And its good to know Pirate Warriors 2 is really good, I've been wanting that one for a while now, but I wasn't sure if it was worth it if I owned the first one. (which I do, and admittedly still gotta finish) Guess I'll be picking this up soonish.
I'm still not sure if this is the kind of game for me. I like rogue-likes, but I'm not sure if I trust NIS with them after Legasista and ZHP...it doesn't help that Waltz gave it a glowing recommendation...
@grevin56 Despite the trailer, they're meant to be fodder for your musou gauge, and it's fighting against other superpowered characters (who are much smarter and stronger) that's the real challenge. Also, it has some psuedo-strategy elelements to it.
Ultimately though it's supposed to be dumb fun and pure fanservice. Every once in a while it's just nice to wreck a bunch of guys.
That's already been done a billion times already, though. Really, I have no interest in it. It looks like an average shooter I could already get on XNA or the Dreamcast.
@Gemuarto Yeah, I wasn't gonna say anything, but you kind of summed up my thoughts on the matter. Heck, I don't think even being a different kind of Zombie game will be enough to hold my interest anymore, I just that tired of them. I'm tired of Shooters, I'm tired of grim stories, I'm tired of "tough" decisions, I'm tired of "realism"...I honestly don't think I'd play this, or any other game even remotely like it for a very long time, if ever.
I'm glad to hear it lived up to the hype. It still doesn't sound like my kind of game, though, so I'll be passing. But at least everyone else will have something to enjoy.
I paid $20 to get Human Revolution on the 360. I'm damn well gonna make use of it, so no free PS3 game for me. Virtue's Last Reward might be worth a go, though.
Now that both have successfully underwhelmed me, my decision to skip this generation has never been easier. I'll just get the Wii U, the last of the last gen consoles, and be done with it.
...oh alright, I'll wait until E3 before my decision's final, but it better be amazing to convince me otherwise, damnit!

Re: Don't Miss This Opportunity to Play Enslaved: Odyssey to the West
I've never liked anything from this developer, and Enslaved is no exception.

Re: Tales of Symphonia Chronicles Collector's Edition Is Battling Its Way to North America Next Year
No thanks. I think I'm done with Collector's editions. This one does look nice for those who are getting it, though.

Re: Shin Gundam Musou Looks Like Absolute Carnage
Hopefully Koei publishes this so I can get in on the carnage, too. I loved the last one.
Re: Exclusive: Luc Bernard's Reaper Drops Its Scythe on PlayStation Vita
I'll keep an eye on it, but this guy tends to overtalk and underdeliver. :/
Re: Ratchet & Clank Fall into the Nexus from 12th November
@SuperSilverback I wouldn't mind that. I thought A Crack in Time and Tools of Destruction were a bit too long for my tastes.
Re: Oh No, Vanille's Going to Be in Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
Don't you be hatin' on Vanille. At least she's got a cute girlfriend, unlike somebody.<_<
Re: Natural Doctrine Wields Its Sword and Shield in PS4 Trailer
Looks fun. Now I got a grand total of 5 PS4 games I'm looking forward to.
Re: Keiji Inafune's Mighty No. 9 Stretching onto PlayStation Vita
I'd be very surprised if it reaches that stretch goal. I'm not even sure we're getting the Online Co-op stretch goal...
Re: Killzone: Shadow Fall's Multiplayer Will Run at 60FPS 'a Lot of the Time'
Not as good as it could be, but fairly good for a first try.

Re: Talking Point: Is Free-to-Play the Future for PlayStation 4?
I hope so. Then I'll have even more reasons to quit this stupid hobby...
Re: Ultra Street Fighter IV Throws a Few Fireballs Next Year
It was only a matter of time...
But I'll get it. I've been wanting Poison and Elena back in Street Fighter for ages now. Definitely can't pass that up!
Re: E3 2013: Shigeru Miyamoto Enjoys a Moment with Tearaway
Tearaway is the Sony game I would expect him to play.
Re: Feature: Vote for Push Square's E3 2013 PlayStation Game of the Show
Surprised to see Devision has so many people's attention. It's tied with FFXV right now.
Re: Feature: What Was Your Favourite PS4 Game Reveal at E3 2013?
Kingdom Hearts III followed closely by Final Fantasy XV.
Re: Feature: Eight New PS4 Indie Games That Should Be On Your Radar
@ShogunRok And there are plenty of open world Shooters, dating all the way back to 1999 at least:

Re: Store Update: 11th June 2013 (North America)
We get a demo of Miku? Neat. Might as well try it since it's free.

Re: Feature: Eight New PS4 Indie Games That Should Be On Your Radar
Transistor is the only correct answer.
Re: E3 2013: No, Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III Are Not Exclusive to PS4
^Not for me. I just need it to be on the console I like.
Re: E3 2013: Final Fantasy Versus XIII Becomes Final Fantasy XV

It's not exclusive, it's coming to Xbox One.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Seven
Tales of Graces f for me. Getting ready for Xillia.
Re: Talking Point: Will You Still Buy the PS4 If It Treats Game Ownership Like the Xbox One?
Not even Final Fantasy, Tales of, Persona, and Kingdom Hearts could convince me to buy the accursed thing if that were to happen.
Re: E3 2013: Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Celebrates Valentine's Day
This actually looks pretty good to me. Can't wait to play it with my bro.
Re: PlayStation Plus Reloads with Uncharted 3, XCOM, and LBP Karting

Re: PlayStation 4 Stomps Xbox One in Online Twitter Poll
I love how America, who is the prime target demographic for the new Xbox, hasn't been won over by the said Xbox.
Re: Talking Point: How Has Xbox One's Reveal Affected Your Anticipation for PS4?
