Twitter Wants to Dramatically Improve PS5, PS4's Integration 1

X, the artist formerly known as Twitter, has reached out to PlayStation to improve its integration of the social network – following its removal earlier in the week. Outspoken owner Elon Musk had previously said he’d personally look into the matter, and now a developer account has confirmed it’s “reached out” to Sony to explore “new integrations” with the PS5 and PS4, including “livestreaming”.

While nothing has been officially confirmed at this stage, a spokesperson for the company encouraged fans to “stay tuned”. Obviously, the social network finds itself in a sticky spot following months of turbulence including the aforementioned name change, so it won’t want huge organisations like PlayStation ignoring its platform entirely. The outreach makes sense in this context, then.

Do you think there’s hope for a better version of X on Sony’s consoles, or is this all posturing from a company that finds itself increasingly under pressure? Let us know in the comments section below.
