RE4 Remake and Final Fantasy XVI. Also bought the FFVI Remaster, P4 Golden and planning to add Octopath Traveler 2 soon

I have no stake in this but I am interested in seeing what Korean devs can cook. Lies of P, Stellar Blade and Little Devil inside to name a few are some interesting titles coming out. If Sony does invest more on Korean devs, I can see another positive outcome. Just look at Genshin Impact (Sony's effort to invest on Chinese devs). They struck gold on that one.

Easily in my top 10 FF games. Really love the characters, story and Eikon battles.

@evan23 I want a follow-up to Unity. I actually enjoyed that one despite the bugs and glitches. It has probably my favorite parkour mechanic as well. Traversing Paris France at the time where the Eifel tower was recently built would be great to experience.

Honestly, I'm down for this. I like AC4 Black Flag but the gameplay kinda feel outdated, at least compared to the more recent AC games.

Gave it a 9. I prefer the traditional turn-based RPGs and while I find the combat mechanics of this game to be just fine, what makes this special to me is the story, characters and presentation. They were enough for me to overlook the flaws of the gameplay. The Eikon battles and the Eikons themselves are so good as well that they may have set the bar high in terms of how summons are integrated in the story/lore of the game.

After playing FFXVI, it's now easily in my top 10 Final Fantasy games.

Been playing FFXVI last week for hours in performance mode, never had any overheating issues. Give your console a proper ventilation people, lol.

Only issue I had with the game is that the framerate is inconsistent. Might try replaying the game again in graphics mode.

Not really all that bad and understandable since FFXVI is quite divisive among fans. I enjoyed the game personally (well not the combat in general but the story and characters are what sold me the most) but I can understand that this isn't appealing to those who would prefer traditional turn-based combats and Japanese fans are more used to those. DQXII might be that game that will appeal to most in Japan.

Thankful that Square isn't going to sell out that easily. Wouldn't want neither Sony nor Microsoft buy SE

I'm just glad that Japanese law prevents all these company buy outs. MS can buy all the western companies all they want but hands off the Japanese gaming companies.

Likewise, I also don't want Sony to acquire Square Enix. Much as I love the relationship between the two, I don't want Sony to take away SE games from Nintendo, particularly the niche titles. Sony is so invested in large AAA titles that it could end the more niche titles which usually fit in Nintendo's console

Why MGS5 tho? That game is still playable on modern consoles through backwards compatibility. Should've been Portable OPS.

Now I do wonder how they will address some of the PS3-only feature that MGS4 have if it's coming out on multi-plat, especially that "Disc" swap joke.

Love that they added the MGS1 digital graphic novel from PSP. I'm not into graphic novel games but that one was a banger. Also glad the games can be purchased separately. Will pickup MGS1 and MGS2. I'll wait for MGS Delta

Honestly, willing to give this and HSR a try. Not really a big fan of GaaS but one thing that Genshin did right for a F2P gacha game is that you don't really need to spend a single dime and enjoy the game at your own leisure. Granted, you get higher chances of getting more characters and unlock special abilities by spending money but I've gotten enough character using only free gems and that's more than enough to get me through.

Yeah, the framerate issue was noticeable in the demo. 300mb isn't so bad considering that's only the issue. I'm also hoping there will be an option to turn off motion blur.

Some sacrifices are likely made but hopefully nothing too drastic that it affects the story elements. As for the day 1 patch, yeah it's bound to happen but not really that bad considering that it's mostly for optimization.

No need for a demo to convince me lol. From the moment the game was announced back in 2020, I knew I had to get this game day 1. I'm just happy that the demo convinced many of those who are still in doubt.

Switch-only fans are still waiting for some ray of hope lol.

Game is now confirmed coming to PS4 and PS5. No Switch but oh well, will get it on PS5

If it was, Xbox would've been boasting about it being their exclusive. I still think that the embargo wont be lifted much earlier than Persona since it's a new IP and MS would want people to talk about it being an "Xbox" game longer.

Sega/Atlus would be crazy anyway to let this be an exclusive game for Xbox, considering how low the JRPG fanbase in that system, especially in Japan. Not that I'm throwing shades on MS, hardware sales pretty much shows it and PS and Nintendo hardware are where most of JRPG players at.

Honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed Lies of P. I can definitely see some inspiration from Bloodborne but at the same time, it offers something unique as well.

@Rmg0731 I feel like MS is delaying the announcement for other platforms even more for Metaphor since it is a new IP from Atlus and they wanted to keep the buzz of it being an Xbox game more than the Persona games

@AsterZero I really don't believe in rumors lately and didn't Nintendo said they don't have any plans to release a new system anytime soon? Whatever the case, by the time Persona 3 Reload launches, there won't be any new Nintendo hardware so either release the game on the Switch or Nintendo fans are gonna wait that long until they can play it on the next-gen Nintendo console.

@HotGoomba yeah, I've seen this "leaked" boxart though really didn't believe it until an official announcement. Doesn't mean it's not coming out on Switch. Maybe we'll see it happen during a Nintendo Direct but let's wait.

Still in the middle of playing it but I'm enjoying it so far. My only concern so far is that the game is pretty dark, I mean literally, even with the brightness maxed.

I doubt they'll be buying SE but good that SE remains a healthy relationship with Sony. Go on Sony, invest on SE more and give us a better port of Drakengard 3 or a Chrono Trigger remake

So long as they retain Aigis' social link then I'm fine. One thing that I do want to be added (and hopefully they do) is to spend time with Aigis during the fireworks festival like in the P3 movie.

Not sure how I feel about this. Not a big fan of strategy games (outside of Disgaea and SD Gundam Generation games) and I am getting burnt out by P5 contents.

My gripes aside, this will get a PS5/Switch release no doubt. Not throwing any shades on Xbox but for a niche game like this, Sega would be crazy to only sell this game on that platform considering how it's doing in Japan.

@johnny30 Like everyone said, the press releases of the announced 3rd party games listed other platforms shortly after Son'ys showcase. Rather weird that MS is holding an embargo for platform announcements. I can only guess that they wanted to build more hype for their platforms. More people likely are gonna end up playing the games on PS or Switch anyway and MS is aware of that,

Meh, they're coming to PS and Switch no doubt. Xbox did the same when they announced P4G and P3P on their last showcase. Give it a few days.

MS likely got the marketing rights for SEGA games like how Sony have marketing for most Square Enix/Capcom games

The artwork looks nice but the 3D characters looked like those poorly made MMD models.

@NomNom It's not Atlus that MS is besties with, it's Sega. They have some connections since the Dreamcast was developed in collaboration with MS

P3 was the first Persona game I've played back in the PS2 era and still to this day, my favorite Persona game. Definitely excited for this. I just hope this doesn't come out the same month as FFVII Rebirth. It's going to be multi-plat as well and MS just got the marketing right since they are close with Sega.

As for P5T, well, I'm ready to move on from anything P5 related at this point. They've already milked this out enough.

I'm hyped for both this and XVI but goddamn Square, let me get through FFXVI first lol.
