@SamMR No, it does not stop Microsoft from buying Activision, but, what it does, is that Microsoft will have to make Activision leave the UK market since they can't sell these games anymore there or have their inclusion on Xcloud blocked in the UK
@Gunnerzaurus considering that the press has always been too much biased by how much money a company pays them, I would not be much reliant on reviews of the press. I much prefer an extensive Gameplay video from someone that really plays the game (and not those clowns of IGN for example)
I'll wouldn't get my hope up. Remedy has proven time and again that they're not that good making well done games from the get go. Specially in the PC world
Hoping that back to a Hot Dog Stand because he's one of the most incompetent executives you can find. He was with Playstation in the early days of PS3, Microsoft in the early days of Xbox One, and now Stadia for the whole failed run
@somnambulance but in the case of Capcom all their games belong to completely different genres and thus go to very different crowds. Even more, some of them will sell by name alone as their sagas became synonymous with the genres they belong to in the west (SFVI to Fighting, RE4R to Survival Horror) or have factors that will help them sell (MMBNC belonging to a iconic IP which is Mega Man and also the fact of the Battle Network anime, Exoprimal going to Game Pass and thus will get exposed to players who will judge them by themselves and, if the game's good, word of mouth will spread and the game sells)
Almost all the games SE had put out are JRPGs and thus, they cater to the same crowd which only means they cannibalized their sales just by releasing them too close to each other and also other games that belong to the same genre that came from Bandai Namco, Atlus and Nippon Ichi Software. No amount of marketing would've make a difference here because of that single factor alone
Its OK to try new things sometimes, but the fact the Blockchain, NFTs and Crypto, have proven time and again to be the most hated things by the gaming community and in general and too prone to fail every time it's tried, and yet the executives still keep insisting in that, that tells you how out of touch they're are to the community
@Shepherd_Tallon @somnambulance The biggest problem with SE is that its corporate leaders are completely out of touch with not just the gaming community but also the legacy of what made Squaresoft and Enix the most beloved developers in the JRPG genre (something the Devs understand, but not them) and try to measure everything like if the games were something they're not in reality (leading to sales expectations that are so unrealistic, just because other games could realize them better), not to mention that they lack any planning when doing everything (if these games were spaced out better and released in dates when they don't get "sandwiched" by even more bigger tittles, sales would fare better)
This company NEEDS a major shake up or to be sold to someone that really cares
This republish only says that these "gamers" don't care, they just do something for the sake of it.
Battlefield 2042, while still not perfect, has come a long way from that launch. Maps have been reworked, classes were added, and many more things
So this review is completely out of sync with the state of the game as of now, so do yourself a favor, and play the game or look for gameplays of the latest update
@naruball And if @munstre wants more examples, Just take a look at Neo The World Ends With You or Guardians of the Galaxy 2 High Quality Titles that didn't sell as expected (even if Guardians managed to rebound afterwards)
Game Sales should never be a indicative that a game is good or not. Neither are critic reviews. the best critic is yourself alone
@Lem1697 Not the entire Saga since III got "remastered" (more like it received a from the ground up remake for the PS4 since the PS3's Cell Processor makes it impossible to port games directly to the PS4/5's x86)
@UnlimitedSevens I don't think Klonoa would be coming to PS+ Premium since the game will be remastered for the Switch
Neither will be the case of GTA Trilogy or Spongebob BfBB since they already out in modern consoles so theres no need. (But, i'll tell you, after what Rockstar did with the Trilogy, i would want the Originals Back)
Well that you mistake. You should've never sell your console and it's games because one day they become so valuable on the Grey Market that you'll never get them back. That's why it's more better to invest on repairing your old console as well
But you could actually get a BC Fat PS3 and be done with it no need to buy a PS2
@TheRedComet and i'm not denying that the PS3 is such a advanced machine at the time and a testament of Sony's Philosophy when it came of Hardware Making and how Revolutionary they were back in the day. And i believe it still is today, more than a decade after, one of the best consoles out there along with it's very predecessor, PS Vita, Sega Dreamcast and both (unpopular opinion for some) the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS
@sanderson72 first of all Direct X is used by both Xbox and Windows by default with other ones like Open GL and Vulkan coming into play later in the Xbox One's Cycle (mostly for Windows)
Otherwise what you said is true. The PS3 is such a complex machine in it's design that the only people that could fully understand it are the very people that were involved in the Console's creation (the former IBM techs that created the Cell Processor and the Hardware Architects of the PS3 itself). The problem is NONE of them are working on those companies nowadays (some are even retired)
And the problems of creating a PS3 for the PS5 are increased because of one design decision Cerny made: The PS5 uses an APU (the x86 equivalent of ARM's SoC that is used on Mobile devices (and the Apple Sillicon Macs)) rather than using the Dual Processor Architecture, in other words, it uses a Mobile-like Architecture. I don't say it's a bad thing when it comes of Modern Gaming, but when i comes of emulating PS2 and PS3, it's not that ideal
@kyleforrester87 Doing it for fun no. Microsoft is doing it because they can do that.
Why? Because all Xbox Consoles share one thing in common with each other and Windows: Direct X API
And because all Games that came to Xbox (no matter if it was the OG, 360, One and Series) must work with Direct X (mandatory) in order to run. that makes it that ALL Games that came to a Xbox console Backwards Compatible with Xbox One/Series. The only thing that keeps them from coming are Licensing issues (and some have issues with controllers, for example that mecha game from the OG that had such a giant controller)
Of all the PS consoles, only 2 of them have an API: PS4 and PS5 (both of them using custom (aka watered down) versions of Direct X 11). Compound it with the fact that both PS2's Creation/Emotion Duo and PS3's Cell Processor were a real pain to work with (specially compared to PS4 and PS5 (which don't even use a Dual Processor architecture but an APU) which adopted AMD's x86 Processors rather than going on their own). You get the Idea why emulation of these 2 consoles require very much High end PCs for example or why so many PS2 and PS3 had to be remade from Scratch or ported from PC versions in order to bring them over to PS4 and PS5
@Shstrick Maybe that's because too many people are using Xcloud (in addition to other services) in your area, and thus, the Data Center gets overwhelmed serverwise.
PS Now don't have as many subs globally. That's why they are merging it with Plus
My suggestion in that case is that you use Xcloud, later in the night
@OneWingedAngel Hey man. Off Topic, But you can actually press reply on each of the comments you want to reply to and their names will appear here so you reply to all of them with just one comment
No need to repeat the same comment over and over like a over-scratched Vinyl
@Uromastryx Or even better: If you want the authentic GTA III/ VC/ SA Radio Experiences. Simply get the Audio Files of the Stations from the OG (Disc-based) PC Release and put them on the phone
@Uromastryx Rockstar is not responsible of anything related to licenses (or anything related to finances for that matter), that is the Job of Take Two Interactive. In fact, all the money GTA V (and GTA Online) makes goes to Take Two (and they decide what they spend on Rockstar), so if someone is to pay the Jackson Family (a lot of money as they are not as lenient of allowing Michael's music in the media as Michael was), that is Take Two
Most people consider Rockstar a completely independent studio (every time something GTA-related, is always Rockstar taking the blunt or the praise in the social media) that don't realize that, in reality, Rockstar is like Slave a that must obey it's Roman master (in this case being Take Two) and it's the master who provides for the Slave with everything that is monetary-related
Sorry if you don't like reference with Ancient Rome but Companies (not just in the Gaming industry but everywhere) in general behave like that (with few exceptions like Nintendo during Iwata)
@Ralizah Well you know Square Enix and Sony and their tendency of wanting big announcements rather than announce them in the PS Blog and Youtube channels
If this and Little Devil Inside were in the PS Showcase last month (instead of the over-announced Deathloop and Guardians of the Galaxy). This State of Play would not have existed. But the trailers came too late into PS California HQ to include them in the Showcase (as usual with Japanese developed games)
@NEStalgia Hackers and out of control Toxicity on PC happened. Many PC gamers jumped to consoles because of how Toxic the gaming community in PC has become as well of the constant DDOS attacks and Hacking PC is suffering (this is in big part why having a free online gaming is not always a good thing because of this)
Well if you from the US the only thing i can find is a Used Physical Copy in a almost new state at 46$ which someone is selling in Amazon and in Digital is still the 70$ (it was on sale digitally some time ago i believe)
@KleebanKliban Well the first thing they need to do is ensuring that big games that get added last for more longer (1 Year at least rather than 6 or 3 months) as not everyone have's the time to complete the games before expiration and if by the time they expire, the player have not bought the game, well progress get lost
@KidBoruto Well with how frenetic this game is with combat situations, it make sense not to have this option, as you MUST acclimate to the game in question and get your reflexes ready for what's ahead. If you decide to quit in the middle of combat, you'll likely get immediately killed and the Suspend becomes pointless
First Person exploration sections tend to be short in length, so it does not make any sense to add the suspend in the First Person Sections which were designed to take a break from the frenetic pace of the normal gameplay loop to begin with
And of course you can't access the game's pause menu during a Cutscene (specially in your first playthrough as the cutscenes become skipable afterwards or if you already died) so adding it here makes no sense
@ScottyG Well that's the System used in games today (Rainbow Six Siege and For Honor) and also going to be used (Battlefield 2042 and Rainbow Six Extraction). It simply effective for live testing content as if you purchase the Year Pass, you're given the content a few days earlier so you could test it yourself for bugs and balance, So when it released to the public, They would be corrected based on feedback
@Culjoseth a simple answer, even you answered it yourself as the 15$ a month is for Ultimate. Most people are going directly for Game Pass Ultimate which includes Xbox Live Gold with it so there's no need to mention Gold numbers if they included in Game Pass
@2cents I taught myself to never believe in Reviews from those money hungry seals that call themselves "press", neither from those creature that call themselves "gamers" but in true they're immatures never truly played that game or any game at all to that matter which are the creatures that mostly infest Metacritic and Steam to go further than that (which by the look of what you have wrote, you're behaving like one of those) due to how open those pages are when it comes of reviews. I prefer to watch a extended gameplay of the game before making conclusions about it or if I want a review/first impressions of a game, it must come from someone who played the game entirely or for a long time so he can make a truly honest conclusion for himself or a very objective written review with every single non-spoiler detail in consideration (so hard to come by nowadays with all the r***e that infest review pages). And I don't care for Raw Graphics (the technical aspect of graphics if you want a more concrete term) as if it was the most important aspect for a game (might be a reference but never the most important) but Art Style, Soundtrack and Audio, but most importantly Gameplay and controls
@2cents Metacritic is something to be ignored nowadays honestly. At least they're honest and tell you that it'll not run on the PS5 like a native port for it. The PS5's BC is more than clearly never planned to begin with and was rushed for the Console's rushed launch (this console should have launched at end of 2021 at least) because of the backlash that would cause for not having it
Well, we need to look at what caused the PS4 exclusives to drop in price. That comes with one single factor: Of the 100+ million PS4 out there, very few buy the exclusives Day 1 as most of the User Base (specially in the Western market) are "Casuals" that simply buy FIFA, Madden, CoD, Battlefield, etc and really don't care to buy the exclusives at all.
With all these titles being cross gen (mostly thanks the semiconductor shortage affecting the PS5 and Xbox Series production), the "casuals" have no incentive to buy the PS5 and thus most have not migrated.
Once the cross gen ends (which would happen once PS5 and Xbox Series production cranks up and more units get sold to real customers (not Scalpers) to the point that Western Third Parties would find no reason to make games for their predecessors), "Casuals" will migrate and when the "Casuals" become a very large chunk of the PS5's User Base, That'll be the moment that Sony will think of reducing their Exclusives in Price to compete with the games "Casuals" play
@Max_the_German Well the Max Capacity of a UHD Bluray is still 100 GB, so anything that goes beyond that (and most High-budget games will), you'll need to download anyway
@Dezzy70 @somnambulance @Jaz007 What can you expect? This is a Roguelike we're talking about. You can't ask for save points in roguelikes because they'll ruin the very concept of it, which is if you die, you go back to the start, with the progress that you keep are the permanent upgrades that you purchase at the beginning of each run. at least you have a Permanent Save at the beginning of the 4th biome as the last 3 are very hard but that's the only one you get.
The only save that they can implement is a one-time save and exit that can give you the chance to leave the game and resume afterwards when you return but if you die, the save is auto deleted and that's it.
@LiamCroft Exactly the Same Thing i wanted to say. Remember that Splitting from a Company is basically Buying Yourself Out and Taking the Destiny IP with it takes even more Money because of How Valuable it was for Activision. Bungie now is in the same position as Digital Extremes with Warframe: an Indie Company Supporting their Live Service game on their Own
@Knuckles-Fajita It Would be insidious to you but The Truth is that Carts does not have Gameplay altering Stats (is the Characters which have them) thus you can't pay to win as Characters MUST be Unlocked by Playing the Grand Prix. For me i don't care for MTXs in Video Games and don't judge games for having them like most of you do. Just Ignore them and Keep Grinding as they were made for those who Don't have time to play as Life Exists or due to having to play too many Video Games that can't actually Dedicate to a Single Game at least for 1 Hour or 2 (Not Saying get obsessed and Play for 4 to 6 Hours). If You Dedicate time to the Game and even take Advantage of the 5X Hour after the Item Rotation and the 2X Weekend and you can gain enough Money Without Spending a Dime. I Have Ignored MTX in Video Games for a Long Time, You Can Too

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade's PS5 Yuffie DLC to Be Download Code
@Voltan The Yuffie DLC is PS5 Exclusive
Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade's PS5 Yuffie DLC to Be Download Code
@Max_the_German Well the Max Capacity of a UHD Bluray is still 100 GB, so anything that goes beyond that (and most High-budget games will), you'll need to download anyway
Re: Returnal Crashes May Be Sony's Problem, Other Bugs Being Investigated
Re: Bungie Is Expanding Destiny 2's Microtransaction Store, Even Without Activision
@LiamCroft Exactly the Same Thing i wanted to say. Remember that Splitting from a Company is basically Buying Yourself Out and Taking the Destiny IP with it takes even more Money because of How Valuable it was for Activision. Bungie now is in the same position as Digital Extremes with Warframe: an Indie Company Supporting their Live Service game on their Own
Re: Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Microtransactions Are Rolling Out on PS4 Now
@Rob_230 And if You Dedicate Time to the Game and Take Advantage of the Multipliers. You Don't Need to Spend at All
Re: Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Microtransactions Are Rolling Out on PS4 Now
@Knuckles-Fajita It Would be insidious to you but The Truth is that Carts does not have Gameplay altering Stats (is the Characters which have them) thus you can't pay to win as Characters MUST be Unlocked by Playing the Grand Prix. I Have Ignored MTX in Video Games for a Long Time, You Can Too
Re: You Won't Fail a Mission for Killing Civilians in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
@Flurpsel Besides in No Russian you are taking the Side of the Criminals so that does not count if so
Re: You Won't Fail a Mission for Killing Civilians in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
@Flurpsel Well this is The remake of the First Game so No Russian does not Apply here
