@somnambulance Nintendo is beating them both? With what? Worst versions of multIplates? Ridiculous online? Year long dry spells? Over reliance on Mario? Framerate issues on every game? Gimped hardware that guarantees none of the newest games will reach the system.
I know people love the Switch for some reason or another, but it's my biggest gaming regret and I even bought a PSPGo.
@Ralizah That quote gets thrown around an awful lot while ignoring the context of the quote. It was true when Miyamoto said it because games were released on cartridge and the the game that shipped was the game you got. Now developers can develop a patch and fix their game.
@Grindagger I'm not pushing any agenda and you have no idea what you are talking about. But please, feel free to keep stringing words together to pretend you know something about a topic you are completely ignorant of.
@Jimmer-jammer The gaming industry is a cess pit of evil executives abusing their workers and customers to further enrich the already rich executives that do nothing other than yell at their employees, sexually harass them, not pay them enough to eat in the company cafeteria, and fire them at a moment's notice so they can add a few pennies to their stocks.
@carlos82 They're legit hard even and most modern games hold your hand too much. That said, I haven't found Demon's Souls to be particularly hard. Dark Souls is the hardest, in my opinion.
@carlos82 Did Japan also get the 20 game starter pack? I bought one game because the console came with Astro, Bugsnax, and 20 of the best PS4 games. Does anyone really need to buy a pile of new games right now?
The whole article is just a train wreck of bad interpretation.
@get2sammyb You can't argue facts, but you can argue interpretation. Sony sold their entire stock which is not dire. The fact Sony sold everything they had, but had fewer items to sell than in the past is the result of a supply chain issue, not a lack of interest or customers
This is an incredibly unjournaliatic analysis and I'm honestly surprised it got past the site editor. Assuming there is a site editor.
@carlos82 Strange. I see torches reflected in water and light sources reflecting off armor. If it isn't ray tracing, I would like to know what effect it is using.
@carlos82 Obviously this game isn't nearly as innovative as Ridge Racer was, but that was over 20 years ago and games have changed a lot of the years. That said, this game really is the best launch title in a very long time because it shows off the power of the PS5 and also hints at the possibilities that future games built specifically for the system will achieve. Particle effects, ray tracing, high definition, textures all combine to make a world that feels real. It is very, very impressive.
@Gr8VngnzN4esAngr @Col_McCafferty Here's the classic sexist male response. We're the problem in society because we insist women are people not objects.
@Col_McCafferty You are correct and sexist attitudes among gamers still exist. Just take a look at some of the posts here. Like the men that claimed Trump talking about sexually assaulting women was just "locker room talk," many men have just normalized sextet behavior.
The video is offensive and Sony should know better.
Jim Sterling has debunked the spiraling costs myth many times and I am disappointed to see Pushsquare peddaling it here. Publishers don't "have to" raise prices. They're doing it because they're greedy.

Re: Even Returnal's Fast Travel Animation Is Impressive
@Splat Nope. No game is worth $70. I'm not supporting this cash grab when the industry is making historic piles of cash.
Re: Poll: Is PlayStation Plus Video Pass the Right Way to Expand PS Plus?
Nope. Streaming services are a dime a dozen and Sony studios is one of the worst production companies on the planet.

@BrettAwesome Soooo not liking Breath of the Wild means that you have ADHD? That's an incredibly ignorant attitude.

So, no, a rushed game is not bad forever.

There is no conspiracy. It's all fact.
Re: Ubisoft Shoves XP Boosting Microtransaction into Assassin's Creed Valhalla a Month After Launch
@Hopewell Maybe Assassin's Creed games aren't for you. Try a shorter game that fits better into your lifestyle.
Re: HBO Max Streams to PS5 from Today
It's on my PS5, but says it will only play on a PS4.
Re: Soapbox: Demon's Souls' Difficulty Shouldn't Deter You from Playing PS5's Best Game
@carlos82 Always crank games up to hardest difficulty and sometimes they're still too easy.

Re: Talking Point: Was 2020 PlayStation's Best Ever Year?
Honestly, I felt 2020 was a good, not great year. A lot of good games, but nothing that really stands out as being totally fantastic.
Re: The Pathless (PS5) - Giant Squid Avoids the Sophomore Slump
$40 for a 6 hour game?
Don't think so.
Re: PS5 Sold Out in Japan, But Launch Numbers Are Dire
@Menchi "modern journalism" is terrible.
Edited for clarity.

@1_W1NG3D_4NG3L @1_W1NG3D_4NG3L No map. But the world is broken up into hubs and it isn't each section s compact enough that a map isn't ncessary.
Re: Demon's Souls (PS5) - PlayStation's Best Ever Launch Game
@carlos82 Thanks, I'll check it out. It's a real impressive effect and makes me even more curious to see ray tracing in action.

Demon's Souls
Re: Talking Point: What Are Your First Impressions of PS5?
@B_Lindz first impression... it's big.
Second impression... it's ugly.
Re: Talking Point: What Are Your First Impressions of PS5?
Just waiting for FedEx.
Re: 10 Things to Do First with Your New PS5
I would never have gotten one if Sony didn't offer me one. I had no interest in playing the browser refresh game. Should be here any minute now.

Re: PS5 Pre-Order Mess Put into Perspective as Xbox Buyers Are Also Forced to Scramble
Sony sent me a PS5 pre-order invite, so getting mine was a breeze.
Not sure what I did to get the invite, but I'm not looking the gift horse in the mouth.
Re: Soapbox: Let's Give Activision a Bit of Credit, Yeah?

Re: Poll: Would You Pay $70 for a Brand New PS5 Game?
@kyleforrester87 Movies cost 100s of millions to make, yet a blu-ray, dvd, or digital copy only costs $20. This is about greed NOT necessity.
