Nope. Streaming services are a dime a dozen and Sony studios is one of the worst production companies on the planet.

@somnambulance Nintendo is beating them both? With what? Worst versions of multIplates? Ridiculous online? Year long dry spells? Over reliance on Mario? Framerate issues on every game? Gimped hardware that guarantees none of the newest games will reach the system.

I know people love the Switch for some reason or another, but it's my biggest gaming regret and I even bought a PSPGo.

@Ralizah That quote gets thrown around an awful lot while ignoring the context of the quote. It was true when Miyamoto said it because games were released on cartridge and the the game that shipped was the game you got. Now developers can develop a patch and fix their game.

So, no, a rushed game is not bad forever.

@Hopewell Maybe Assassin's Creed games aren't for you. Try a shorter game that fits better into your lifestyle.

@carlos82 Always crank games up to hardest difficulty and sometimes they're still too easy.

@carlos82 They're legit hard even and most modern games hold your hand too much. That said, I haven't found Demon's Souls to be particularly hard. Dark Souls is the hardest, in my opinion.

Honestly, I felt 2020 was a good, not great year. A lot of good games, but nothing that really stands out as being totally fantastic.

$40 for a 6 hour game?

@get2sammyb You can't argue facts, but you can argue interpretation. Sony sold their entire stock which is not dire. The fact Sony sold everything they had, but had fewer items to sell than in the past is the result of a supply chain issue, not a lack of interest or customers

@carlos82 Thanks, I'll check it out. It's a real impressive effect and makes me even more curious to see ray tracing in action.

@carlos82 Strange. I see torches reflected in water and light sources reflecting off armor. If it isn't ray tracing, I would like to know what effect it is using.

@carlos82 Obviously this game isn't nearly as innovative as Ridge Racer was, but that was over 20 years ago and games have changed a lot of the years. That said, this game really is the best launch title in a very long time because it shows off the power of the PS5 and also hints at the possibilities that future games built specifically for the system will achieve. Particle effects, ray tracing, high definition, textures all combine to make a world that feels real. It is very, very impressive.

@Col_McCafferty You are correct and sexist attitudes among gamers still exist. Just take a look at some of the posts here. Like the men that claimed Trump talking about sexually assaulting women was just "locker room talk," many men have just normalized sextet behavior.

Not sure what I did to get the invite, but I'm not looking the gift horse in the mouth.

@BranJ0 Minimum amount of effort has been Nintendo for about 10 years now.

Jim Sterling has debunked the spiraling costs myth many times and I am disappointed to see Pushsquare peddaling it here. Publishers don't "have to" raise prices. They're doing it because they're greedy.

@kyleforrester87 Movies cost 100s of millions to make, yet a blu-ray, dvd, or digital copy only costs $20. This is about greed NOT necessity.
