Japanese Sales Charts: PS Vita TV Suffers a Sharp Decline in Viewers

WOW, why are they not buying Playstation vita tv? I mean just 100 bucks

This isn't anti wii u, but I'm very shocked that super Mario 3d world sold that few.

Could the vita tv be sold out in places? Maybe they were cautious with the supply?

Played Lighting Returns demo... It is really bad and tired.

After watching the lauch sales this doesn't suprise me.
These might be for the fact most of the home console games doesn't sell well on Japan, just look at Monster Hunter Frontier G.
It looks like the idea of tranforming Vita into a microconsole wasn't that huge in Japan.
I still really want this to come overseas.
I really need it.

Im picking YS Memories of celceta tomorrow. I can tell you YS Series is great.

You would think after going from 1.5 million sales to only nearly 600,000, you should stop making a game. But no. "Lets milk Final Fantasy XIII until everyone hates us." I'm hoping they're doing this, so it looks really awesome when Final Fantasy VII gets remade.

I actually couldn't understand why the Vita Tv sold so well in Japan last week, it made absolutely no sense to me. The Japaese people don't like home consoles and the Vita isn't selling all that well, so they have an option to play Vitas lack of games on their tv where they hardly ever play games? This weeks number is more of what I was expecting. Last weeks number was just pepel wanting to buy something new while they wait fo rPS4 in Feb.

It will sell better in the West where we all have multiple big screen tvs and want to stream between them. So Im not knocking the system, just last weeks big sales number in Japan. I'ld buy a 3DS tv in an instant for all the 3DS games I want to play but I just can't handle the small screen, not even on the XL though it is much better.

@LDXD ys series is so great. I pick the silver anniversary edition. This ys celceta is so much like seven. It's a great game when you like adventure action rpg

To be fair of this is the first time ys doesn't exceed my expectation. I played ys6 ysSeven ysOathofFelgana and ys origins always get surprised mainly in improvised battle control

Battle in Ys celceta is 100% similar with ys seven, there is no improvement as far as I know.. Guess if it's not broken it doesn't need repair?

The problem with SquareEnix is they pissed their fanbase off. How many years of begging does it take to get a Final Fantasy 7 sequel or remake? Instead they do sequels to 13 and 11 of which a lot of RPG fans didn't like. XV looks great but they better start giving their fans what they ask instead if what they think people want because it's not working. As for Vita TV, seems like a good idea but with PS4 around the corner nobody cares. The Vitas only real hope for relevancy is the remote play.

@Sanquine well I just reach Karna village but so far I've seen battle control with the same like before... Except the skill finish, perfect sidestep as I could recall but basically it's just the same movement with bullet time right? Or there will be some new addition than battle system in seven?

@lvnlavitaloca I can't help but agree with you. With a Vita TV compatibility patch on the way for Killzone Mercenary I'd say the writing is already on the wall for a western release

@Itachi Yup, after the dog vomit that they called a story in 13-2 im surprise 13-3 even sold as much as it did. They need to just burry the 13 series and hurry up with 15. I mean seriously we arent going to get an English version of it till 2015 I can already tell. Im sick of waiting on SE to make the games they promised while they pump out title after title of games NO ONE ASKED FOR. Case in point 13 -3 and 10 &10-2 HD.

I think vita tv's sales will pick up when the PS4 launches in japan! Heck im gonna order 1 sometime next year!

I don't think that Lightning Returns selling that few spells doom for the Final Fantasy brand. It's the second spin-off of a game that no one wants (well, obviously people are buying it, so someone wants it, but you get what I mean) and the whole 13-series are sub-par at best (for a FF game). I would bet that Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD will outsell Lightning Returns. But, y'know, if FF 15 ends up like crap, then oh well, it was a great franchise while it lasted.

Give me god damn FF game were theres a world map, the towns are tiny until you run into them, good old turn based combat and i will be happy.

@Itachi Square could have runaway sales success by listening to its fans. Put FFXV on hold, and Redo FFVI thru FFIX using the FFXIII game engine. A collection like that would print money and put the company in the red!

@craigun That would be amazing and I would definitely be 1st in line to get them. I don't know why these game companies don't think like that. I understand nowadays it's a big investment to make AAA titles but those old Final Fantasies are proven successes and that fan base hasn't gone away. Just imagine your on the couch watching TV and suddenly a commercial comes on showing Squall for FF8 in next graphics. That would just really bring out the kid in RPG gamers.
