I love how all of a sudden if a game isn't 60fps minimum then people say that it is unacceptable garbage.

While it's not AS silky smooth 30fps locked is not garbage especially assuming it is going to have higher graphical fidelity and take full advantage of the ps5 hardware.

Ironic that the guy who has made a huge point in multiple press conferences about buying up developers and locking them down to xbox game studios is the one saying this.

I really wish Ubisoft would stop dedicating so much time to people talking. Honestly I appreciate that someone needs to make the game assets and details but I don't need to hear from them. Ubisoft especially comes across one of 2 ways. Either they are way too overhyped and cringey about their games or they are completely devoid of any charisma whatsoever.

If they absolutely need someone to talk then they need to go back to what they did a few years ago at E3 and get someone like Aisha Tyler or someone else be it a comedian or just a recognizable face that actually can speak and make things interesting.

The fact that this is a cross gen title seems to be holding this game back a bit. Nothing about it really screamed "next gen" and honestly it barely even looks current gen.

It's an intriguing title and maybe it was just the way that the trailer was presented that gives me this impression. I'm going to see more of this one before I make a decision.

This seems vague yet ominous. I can't imagine that he would be so abruptly saying that the team members dont need to be associated with his issues if it wasnt serious.

I love how they stealth dropped that Housemarque is part of Playstation Studios without making a giant deal of it like when Microsoft bought a bunch of studios.

This trailer says everything it needs to about the games tone in the 50 seconds run time. It's perfect.

@Excep7ional it's amazing how many people are missing this point and attributing it to "just one death" it's not just one and thank you for continuing to point that out. I tried as well but got accused of promoting white hate which was not the intent at all.

@Darthrau I am not trying to throw up ant white hate stuff at all. I simply posted examples of what has been happening. I am as white as the get, and a pretty privileged guy from canada. But I am also part of a minority because I am gay so I understand being discriminated against.

I dont believe that it is only white people that is part of the problem at all.

That being said this is getting horribly off topic. I agree with sonys stance on this and I am not changing my mind about that. Riggt now it's time to let other voices be heard.

This is an issue that has been rampant for years and has been escalating like crazy.

A black paramedic was shot in her own home because police in plain clothes executed a search warrant on the wrong house without identifying themselves.

George floyd had a cop kneeling on his neck for over 8 minutes and was strangled to death because of it.

A man was shot dead in neighborhood by 2 white men because he "looked like a criminal".

A black woman in canada "fell" from her balcony after police were responding to a distress call in the apartment.

A black man was assaulted by a white man while leaving his girlfriend's house because he looked like he might be a burglar.

These protests were peaceful when Sony announced this event, and only escalated because police again used way more force than necessary.

Do some research before opening your mouth next time. These are just a few examples of racism across both the us and Canada.

A quick browse of reddit will show you way more than I have highlighted here.

Disappointing for sure, but it is the right decision to make. It humanizes Sony a bit more too.

Honestly just take my money... this was everything I hoped for and then some.

@get2sammyb Totally get that. I guess I am just used to the budget titles that Sony typically has released being $39.99 here.

Budget title? Maybe in the US but here in Canada the game is $53. Better than the usual $80 but still definitely not a budget.

I'll have to hold off on this a bit because I just got the mafia trilogy.

Jesper Kyd is possibly my favorite video game soundtrack composer. He really knows how to create something that draws you in. Hitman and Assassins creed both have phenomenal soundtracks

I feel like they did this to differentiate themselves from microsoft again since microsoft started using a very similar black and white "microsoft studios" opener on their first party games.

I like this and think it's pretty sick.

@get2sammyb for the love of god this needs to happen. I even went so far as to look through the psnow games list to see if ANY splinter cell games were included, unfortunately they arent. I LOVED conviction and Blacklist, as well as the originals, I'm hoping that if they do announce a new game that it's not part of the current "ubisoft formula"

Is it too much to hope that this is not 100% coincidental that this footage was just found mere days after ubisoft registered a new Prince of Persia domain name?

Sure the numbers are lower, but honestly if it comes down to having lower numbers and still being affordable I would prefer that.

Sony has stated that their goal is to make this as easy for developers to use, and if the ps4 is anything to go by then that's fine by me. The ps4 has housed some of THE BEST games I have played. Sonya's first party absolutely killed it, while microsoft really dropped the ball. We all know that 3rd party is going to be optimized across both systems so it really is going to come down to price, and games. Neither of which we have info from either company on.

I would buy this in an instant for ps4 if it got released.

It's almost like there are major releases coming out in the next few months and they don't want to take away from their spotlight

I've seen a number of comments (not on this site, but elsewhere), people saying that it's because Sony isnt ready to show off the ps5. I'm sorry but Sony was NEVER going to show off the ps5 at Pax east.

Ubisoft is VERY QUICKLY losing my support. I am tired of playing the exact same games over and over again just with a different skin. Assassins creed used to be my favorite series, but they milked it to death and it is now a shell of its former self.

Far cry 3 was one of my favorite games as well and now they all feel the same.

Give me things like splinter cell, prince of Persia, or rayman over the division, or assassins creed ragnarok, or rainbow 6.

The only game on that list i am remotely interested in is watch dogs and that's because of the "play as anyone" feature. I wont be buying any of their other releases this year.

I have been waiting for this announcement. Re2 remake was definitely my GOTY. I can't wait to be harrassed by nemesis all over again!

I'm not saying that it doesnt deserve these noms... BUT... it is highly suspicious that Geoff Keighley is in the game and has basically been a walking Kojima advertisement for the last 3-5 years.

There needs to be some real clarity with regards to the results.

I havent played Death Stranding, I might someday but currently I dont have interest in it. But that being said I am not saying it doesnt deserve the awards, just that its suspicious.

I got this sent to me last month. I actually didn't love it. It just seemed bland to me.

@ShogunRok Geoff really needs to stop being such a kojima fanboy. At this point it's getting annoying. Kojima doesn't need the hype the Geoff gives him, and honestly while I enjoy the Metal Gear games, they really are not as spectacular as everyone would have you believe.

Kojima can sell millions of copies just on his name, but all it will take is one bad game for people to turn on him.

I will always buy more hitman! It's easily one of my top series and has been since ps2

I thought watchdogs was amazing but everything else just fell flat

That was AMAZING! I was going to get days gone over this but I think that trailer just changed my mind!

This is a crazy comeback story... THQ published some great games back before they went under, so seeing them come back after going belly up and auctioning off all of their properties is pretty unreal.

@get2sammyb I mean pop stars is easily the standout song, but country roads and legend are both pretty good!

Why the hate for the soundtrack? Sure it's not mainstream but it's not terrible, and it catches the main point of the game which is having a strong enough beat that you can focus on to succeed.

I actually stopped playing it. Not because I didnt enjoy it, but because I enjoyed it so much that I didnt want to progress any further and not be able to continue.

This game has a lot to live up to... the first one was great and the second was a very good change in pace even if the story left a lot to be desired...

I couldn't agree more... at 34 years old I dont NEED any character to be a certain way as long as it fits the story that is being told. I dont need a character to be gay just because I am, i am fully capable of relating to the situations said character finds themselves in.

Developers need to be allowed to have freedom when creating. They should not be held to a specific demographic and I love the direction games are going these days.

I have always been a fan of Lara Croft... both new and old versions of her... the hate that was shown with her redesign was ridiculous and it all centered on the fact that her breast size was shrunken.

When assassins creed odyssey comes out I will most likely play as Kassandra just because I have been playing as Male assassins for the last decade and it's about time I have the option to choose who/how I want to play.
