I'm going to give it a real good go with the trial. Oh wait, no I'm not because the trial is only 35 minutes long (which is essentially enough time to sit through some exposition and the tutorial). Oh well, I'll wait until it's on Plus or £3.99 in a sale instead!

You can buy a raspberry pi pre loaded with 25,000 games of nearly every arcade machine and console ever. You can also buy an old monitor, wood, perspex, speaker, joysticks and buttons. I guarantee it will be cheaper than this machine that plays 8 games. How can be sure? Because I did it during lockdown. Voila! Your very own arcade machine that plays every game from Atari to PS1.

@OthmaneAD it will be on PS Plus fairly quickly anyway I imagine.

@Jacko11 you missed out! There's some great shows on Apple TV. Ted Lasso, Severance, Physical, The Shrink Next Door, The Morning Show, Servant, Schmigadoon. Enjoyed all of them. Give it a go.

That's good news, I always liked this one! Can we all now be honest and admit that the old style AC games were actually better than the new RPG style ones? I played about 20 minutes of Valhalla the other day and it's just, boring. Gave up on Odyssey a long time ago, and never even bothered to download Origins (although I will do somewhen).

Syndicate, Black Flag etc were way more fun IMO.

Never played a FROM game before, save for about 10 minutes of Bloodborne. Don't intend to. Not enough time to get stressed out and beaten up by a video game.

With all the games coming to Plus tomorrow, in addition to the hundreds I already have backlogged (!) then I'll swerve this sale!

Speaking of Plus coming to UK tomorrow. Will I finally be able to redeem the code I got from Shopto.net absolutely ages ago that Sony won't let me redeem?

FFS. I was really hoping for THPS3 to have the same treatment. It's one of my favourite games of all time. **** you Activision and Blizzard and whoever else is responsible for coming up with this.

I've got four Dualsense controllers and two of them have drift to the point where I don't use them. Which is fine until my wife and kids want to all play a family game of course. I refuse to spend money on new ones though as they shouldn't be broken in the space of a year (with fairly light use as well).

Doesn't seem worth it at this point. EA Play is largely a waste of money on Playstation to be honest. X amouunt of games on there and 75% of them are made up of 5 years worth of FIFA, Madden, NBA and NHL. And no one is subbing per month/year for the arse end of an annual sports game surely?

AC always suckers me in with the historic settings and then I play them for a few hours, get bored and never go back. The only one I ever completed was the first one!

Already have GoW through Plus collection AND Now, so no need to download that. Will add Naruto but have zero interest in Anime or Japanese games in general. And will try Nick All Stars with the kids to see if they like it.

No time for online only games. If this had offline modes I'd give it another go. Similar to the new Roller Skating one. Not interested in playing online so it's a no from me.

Could be worth a download to play offline with my kids, if that's a possibility. Depends how many free characters there are to choose from.

"Family-friendly party game". This would be perfect if you could play 4 player split screen. Me and the kids would play this all the time I'm sure! As it is, watching one of you compete online just isn't as fun. The novelty of Fall Guys wore off long ago unfortunately.

A good line up, and certainly some games I'd like to try out there (AC Valhalla, Guardians of the Galaxy, GoT, NBA2k22 among others) but I'd be concerned that a lot of those games will probably only be on the service for 3-6 months. No one seems to be mentioning that for some reason?

As for the rest that haven't yet been disclosed, I reckon they will mostly be made up of the filler/rubbish on PS Now already.

@skaarj217 thats a shame, I quite liked Syndicate back in the day but never completed it (same with most AC games). I heard Unity runs really well on Xbox so, hopefully, if the same can be said for PS I'll give that a go instead.

@skaarj217 I thought about playing that again, and AC Unity. What's the problem with Syndicate on PS5? And does Unity run OK does anyone know? I heard the Xbox version of Unity runs really well.

Is this the same game as This War of Mine - The Little Ones? I had that on PS4 but never really got into it.

Already have FIFA 22, not interested in the other two (at the moment, maybe I'll try them in the future).

@bugzbunny109 but I did pay a fair price. The cost of 12 months of Plus is £49.99, and I paid for 12 months of Plus. It's not my problem they ****** up with this loophole. As I've said in another post, they should have stopped any vendor from selling any PS Plus cards a couple of weeks ago and put out an email or notice a week or so ago to state people can't stack anymore.

The fact of the matter is (and I know this will hurt you because you sound like a 'company guy') but the customer holds all the power. Treat them badly (even if company guys like you think it's reasonable because you have your 'company guy' head on) and they will move on. Restaurant keeps serving bad food? It closes. This is no different.

It's the same as working class people who really like the Tories or the Royal family and always defend everything they do. Even though they're taking the p*** out of them essentially.

@Milktastrophe but it does still exist. And online vendors (including Sony at the time I purchased it) were still selling cards for 12 month memberships to it. As I said, Sony could have avoided all of this if they removed all PS Plus memberships from sale from all vendors over the last couple of weeks, and last week put out a statement about no more stacking. They didn't. So they should honour the codes that have been purchased. Simple.

Companies do indeed owe us nothing. And we owe them nothing in return. So it's in said companies best interests to treat it's customers well otherwise the customer may just decide to shop elsewhere instead.

@Milktastrophe the service DOES exist though? PS Plus exists. They are due to give FIFA 22 away on it next week. If I pay for 12 months PS Plus access that's what I expect to get. Surely Sony can't turn round and say, "ahh don't worry about it, we'll give you 8 months of Premium instead"! Well, I paid for 12 months of Plus though, why would I only want 8 months? And why wasn't I told weeks ago that I can't stack memberships anymore? You can't keep all of those cards on stores and then hit the switch so people can't use them. They were purchased in good faith and the codes should be honoured. Simple as that. If Sony wanted to avoid that they should have been recalling these cards from all vendors over the last few weeks so no one can purchase them anymore, and then informed people a week or so ago that stacking is no longer possible as of X date.

I had a PS2 back in the day but skipped PS3 generation and didn't get a PS4 until 2015. The difference in Sony between 2015 and now is light and day. The PS4 and Sony felt untouchable at the time. The PS5 and Sony now just seem...different. Not as likeable. Something changed. I'm considering playing the games in my backlog and letting my Plus expire and then doing the whole Xbox and gamepass thing. Sony just seem to be trying to sabotage themselves this generation.

@stassinari you can't get a refund though. Not on a digital code. According to Shopto where I got mine from.

@dr_lovejoy Shopto are waffling on about 'the item is working as Sony intended' therefore it's not faulty and they don't offer refunds on digital codes unless they are faulty. Seems dodgy to me but who knows.

@thefourfoldroot I too bought one from Shopto and couldn't stack it. Was also told by Shopto that they won't refund. My Plus runs out June 2023, which means if Sony don't let me redeem it before then the 12 month limit on codes will have expired leaving me £40+ out of pocket. That's wholly unfair and Sony should be ashamed of themselves for not releasing some sort of statement in advance of flicking the switch and not allowing people to stack. If I'd had an email 2 weeks ago saying 'from X date, Plus can no longer be stacked' then I wouldn't have bought it. Really, really bad from Sony.

I bought a 12 month Plus card off Shopto yesterday and it didn't work. If the code isn't going to be honoured, I expect a refund, simple as that.

They need to compete because X amount of people like battle royale games and of those X amount, they all play Fortnite, COD, Apex or PUBG. If you don't like BR I highly doubt you are going to see Vampire and think, yep I suddenly like this genre and this is better than all the other ones that have been going for 5 years that all my friends play already.

My point is, there doesn't seem like a decent reason to spend (probably) a lot of money on making this game when the whole market is completely cornered by, not just Fortnite, but Apex, COD Warzone and PUBG. I'd be interested to know (but not really) how many people play other BR games available (the fact I literally can't think of any others besides there undoubtedly being some in existence proves my point to an extent). It's much the same as me starting a new social media site to compete with Facebook. Why bother? How many people are you going to drag over from Facebook? People who have been using it since it began. None.

My bet would be this game will be half dead within a year. So don't go spending all your money on it!

My daughter may love this! She loves Disney Infinity so hopefully it's similar.

How big a market share does this game expect to get from a free to play battle royale game? 100% of the market is made up of Fortnite, PUBG and Apex I would presume (don't know as not interested in these games). How many of these people need to move from those games to Vampire to make it worthwhile making it in the first place? And which people are going to make that switch, realistically having put thousands of hours into Fortnite the last 5 years.

2D offline games are completely different as they can have different types of gameplay or mechanics etc. Battle royale are essentially one note type games. The difference between Sonic and Mario is huge for example. Difference between Fortnite and PUBG? Not so much other than the graphics.

@YoungHades I don't have much gaming time to hand anyway to be honest so I tend to stick to what I know generally. And I'm absolutely 100% not an online player game so none of those interest me. I've tried some of the Plus games this year and they've been OK though.

It looks terrible. Fortnite exists. What's the point in trying to compete with it? It's the equivalant of me starting a new social media site to take on Facebook. Both are so far entrenched with general public that you are never going to take that share of the market.

And why are (presumably vampires) running around with guns in the video I watched? What's the point in this being vampire-centric if you can just shoot everyone instead?

@Martsmall I don't enjoy Hitman games personally. It all feels too 'faffy' and one false move and the whole thing falls apart. Too pressurised for me!

I like Sniper Elite! I actually think it's way more fun than Hitman personally.

@DrFluffyNips yeah I did upload a support ticket to shopto. Hopefully it can be resolved one way or another. Ideally another year which would take me to April 2024. If not, I'll have until April 2023 which will be more than enough time to decide if its a service worth continuing with!

@Lfc1105 Sony aren't selling them anymore though. Or you certainly can't extend it on the console. Or I can't anyway. I suspect shopto will be offering refunds rather than new codes, personally.

So if I read this correctly, if I buy loads of PS Plus now, then my PS Now subscription which ends in July this year, will continue through to whenever my extended Plus does, as part of the Premium package?

@Johnnycide disagree. It's usually anti-sports. Tennis game? booo, terrible choice. Golf game? booo terrible choice. AAA basketball game??? boo terrible choice. UFC 4? boo terrible choice. Biggest (football) game on the market? booo terrible choice.

It's a pattern generally. And it's just a bit...sad?

And despite the common assertion (which I too made right at the top of the comments) there are actually a fair few commenters who HAVEN'T already bought FIFA who seem keen to give it a go.

I hate online multiplayer games but don't sit here and moan about that being all we get every month on Plus.
