Thank you but (as you know) it is just too late now...
sony sitting on countless, unsellable PS5 units and bells are tolling.
Must have been more reasonable last year and the year before that. I am not saying that for myself, though. Because I was not going to buy it, even if it was cheaper. PS5 is just too diluted hardware by design. It is no where near capable for native 4K. Lords of fallen runs at 648p on PS5. Why should I even bother?

Thank you.
I did not say "I'll buy the PS6 on the release date". In fact, I never buy any console or pc component on the release day. I always be patient and make timing for the good value. If it is next year on some holiday, so be it. What is the rush for me? Just like everybody else, I have quite a backlog with games. I can enjoy playing them along the way. No need to rush.
If sony, makes PS6 overpriced and keep it at the same level, than I'll glady hardpass it just like I instantly hardpassed PS5 when it was announced (Yes! Loong before the release date). Why should I waste my time and hard-earned money for diluted console? I am good with my pc, 4K odyssey oled, PS4, Xbox One S, Xbox 360 Halo Reach Limited Edition, PS3 Slim, Xbox, PS1...

I gladly bought Xbox, because it was better and stronger than PS2
I gladly bought Xbox 360 Halo Reach Limited (with dual controller and head set included), because it was better and stronger than chunky PS3.
I gladly bought PS4, because it was better, lighter and stronger than Xbox One.
I gladly bought Xbox One S, because it was better and stronger than Xbox One and more importantly, it was playing 4K movies, upscaling Xbox Games to 4K, as well as 1080p PS4 games to 3840x2160
Even today, I use my Xbox One S, to play PS4 games on my Samsung Odyssey Oled G8 (4K) Upscaling + HDR results are nothing but pure eye candy.
I was going to buy Xbox Series X but, ssd was too inadequate (deliberately perhaps) and I did not want to pay additional 100 $ for the disk drive I was never gonna use.
So, I am waiting for next flagship Xbox console to (gladly) buy, as long as it is (as usual) better and stronger than PS6
I can not be more happy that I wasted total of 0 (zero) penny to PS5/XBox Series S/X era.
Lets roll on to groundbreaking next generation.

sony is legal entity which is responsible to provide 100% factual evidence through it's official accounting records to Japanese Government and all other states sony operates in. I am only a natural entity which have no responsibility some other (3. party) company's accounting recordings.
Financial report you refer to is not sony's playstation departmant's accounting records which does not bring any evidence proving sony's net loss on PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5 hardware (console) sales.
It so obvious that "sony losing money on each playstation console" marketing motto is so much loved in gaming world. Go ahead and consult to sony shareholders and/or investers about sony losing money on hardware.
Financial reports derived by estimations are not accounting records. Lets see, per unit console cost of each console and see how much sony actually lost on every single console. Where are the invoices and records? For example, how much sony actually paid to Foxconn for PS4 production? Lets see the accounting records and bank records of transfered liquidity. Then we can have an some (not full) idea about the unit based cost. Lets see the invoices and bill of sales first.
Just like I said previously;
WE NEED TO FOCUS ON NOTHING BUT EVIDENCE.
Not marketing mottos...
Note: If we see official accounting records, we may notice that there were/are some mumbo jumbo occured on the book. Then will have different problem and discussions.
The main reason everything is in the dark and kept well hidden, is not causeless.

What does it say?
"These statements are based on management’s assumptions, judgments and beliefs in light of the information currently
available to it. Sony cautions investors that a number of important risks and uncertainties could cause actual results to differ materially"
So, where are the actual results? Where is the actual cost of the each single PS5 unit?
How come, sony generated record gaming revenue by April 2021 while PS5 was only released in Late November - Early December 2020?
Are we expected to believe that, sony recollected all it's PS5 hardware production expenses within 5 to 6 months?
By the way, where is actual accounting records and books?
We need to focus and see evidences, not consolidated financial statements. Because they are only statements and charts without official accounting records.
Lets remember, what sony say;

Where is the evidence of how much each PS5 console produced costed in Japanese Yen and/or Chinese Yuan?
So, we (you and me) can see, how much sony made on each single unit.
By the way, what you are saying that sony lost money on PS5 and PS5Pro hardwares sales and now sony losing even more in Chinese market, because of the price decrease.

So... Sony, overpriced PS5 all along.
I can't ve more happy that I have spent total of 0 (zero) penny for PS5 and PS5Pro.
No need to mention, I purchaced 0 (zero) PS5 games.
I extended my PS+ subscription (back in 2020 December) until December 2030. Overall, I am happy with the mounthly free games.
Lets roll on to PS6 which is around the corner. Whole PS5 era was and is the sony's greedfest, we need to leave behind.
I am keep enjoying my PS4 white edition + PS3 Slim + PS1 + Fully Fledged PC with my Odyssey G8 Oled 32"

Never bought "PS5" and "PS5 Pro" because of the extreme poor value offered.
Considering the fact we are at the gate of the PS6, good luck increasing already astronomical price of the (hardware wise) very weak PS5.
As a very happy owner of PS1 + PS3 Slim + PS4, I instantly hard passed PS5 on the announcement day. I was kind a hopeful for "PS5 Pro" but unreasonably greedy nature of sony killed the "PS5 Pro" for me, which is perfectly fine. Because, we are already at the verge of PS6.
I just can not be more happy that my total expenditure of PS5 era hardware + game = 0 (zero) penny.
Lets roll on to PS6...

I agree with you regarding ever-increasing hardware and software (meaning = games) prices. Both goes beyond the reasonable area and eventually will end up with (in-evitable) destroyed customer confidence.
No argument there...
I was predicting that it will be the case back in 2020 that is why I bought 10 years of PS+ subscription.
I do not buy console games digitally or physical no more probably since 2021-2022 (not really sure, I need to check)
So... I have accummulated more than enough for my future hardware purchases and I never keep them as cash in order to save them from inflation. As you know, almost each and every government keep stealing the purchasing power from the currency. Why do we think, all prices keep going up? So, I keep my purchasing power as investments, not as cash. Therefore, I got no financial problem to get PS6 and/or PS7. I stay away from corrupt fiat system....
As you may easily guess, upcoming next generation hardwares will be ai capable. Therefore, some fundemental changes on the horizons. Current generation consoles may easily fall from grace quickly when new consoles announces.
Historically and revolutionary scale changes are coming and they are not in distant future.
So... for me, it is a big big mistake to sink any money to current (end of it's cycle) gen.

As a souls fan, it is an "instant hard-pass" for me.
Because, I never waste my time for mixed bag approach.
If they do not bother to develop an authentic game (like "Demon's Souls, BloodBorne, Elden Ring, Dark Souls...) I do not bother to buy it.
Simple is that...
I never waste my time for mixed bunch freak of a game. It is so obvious that it is already made by sloppy, copy-paste(s) from their old games...

There are rewards, in case you failed on missions. Just do not get failed at the beginning of the missions.
By the way, try to choose right class for you (first) and play (only) the easiest missions initially.
Durations of the missions depends to your knowledge, weapons strenght and your character level.
It may take about 30-35 minutes when you first begun to game, but you'll be able to (easily) complete them about 20-22 minutes when you get stronger.
