As a person, who skipped PS5 era all together, I could not care less, to be honest!
When hardware components of PS5 first announced, I immediately said "Not gonna buy that!", since we are that close to PS6 era, I can not be more happy.
Spending good times with my PS4 (white edition), PS3 Slim (with move & camera), Xbox one s, Xbox 360 halo reach limited edition, Xbox, PS1 and my solid PC.
Just like everyone else, I got quite a bit backlog, so.. No need to rush for PS6 (for me).

I won't be surprised to see a leak or open confession (in a couple of years) that, this project is ordered by bandai namco and confirmed by kadokawa group... Naturally, idea is not well received by Hidetaka Miyazaki and he distanced himself and his team (at least partially) from this disgraceful project. So... Not gonna waste my time or money for this one...
Honestly; Last year, I decided to (and permanently) stopped watching it because of they being so unfair to "Lies of P" as well as to "sountrack singer Seo Jayeong". I do not plan to return to it, until they come up and openly apologize (via the most official mouths) for what (and why) they did last year. It was shamelessly brutal and unfare.

Regarding to "corporate greed" you mentioned;
It is not a secret that "nvidia/amd/intel" trio established a "price fixing" triopoly probably since 2017 or 2018 They managed to corner (and abuse) us (end users) with their corrupt policies. They stopped compete and forced the ceiling prices to all of us. That is why I stopped buying graphics card as my firm respond (not just for me, rather for the people who can not afford). I got R9 380 (4 GB) installed my pc since 2015 and I do not plan to upgrade it until I see honest competition returns to market and price fixing crime ends... They (nvidia/amd/intel trio) first managed to degrade and than eventually managed kill the graphics card market. I have spend total of 0 (zero) penny for any graphics card since 2015 as an end user reaction... You always reap what you sow... And for us "patience always leads to salvation"... (Yes! my graphics card will be 10 years old in 2025 ) No problem. There are many good games waiting in my backlog

It is way to chunky, heavy, extremely expensive and it's cpu & gpu combo is way too weak. So much so, games like Lords of The Fallen can run only at 648p...
I am very happy that, I skipped PS5 era alltogether.
Can not be more happy with my PS4, PS3, PS1, Xbox One S, Xbox 360 Halo Reach Limited Edition, Xbox and my decent pc...

From Covenant system... Methodical fighting... Poise system in close combat... Almost "Lord of The Rings" size/scale lore... Heart breaking story of Artorias and Ciaran...
Genius map designs... Very deep, armor and weapon upgrade systems.
And oh boy... Those world changing effects of the the rings...
I am not happy to state that (but) "Bloodborne and all other From Software titles always stays behind just because of the rings, even we begin talk about other rich features of Dark Souls"
Since early 80's, I never witness any other game so perfectly managed to combine lore and the game mechanics so meaningfully... It is just ridicilous level of success. Even Miyazaki's core team fell short on every game they worked on, right after Dark Souls.
No need to mention; it would be a wonderful news when they manage to repeat their success with Dark Souls.
