We usually vote with our wallet.
If companies saying to us "You are between rock and the hard place" (meaning: between overpricing and horrendously diluted product) We see it as an instant dealbreaker. Therefore, we do move on to our life and do not purchase any of those product.
Very simple!
Can not be more happy that, I instantly hardpassed on the PS5 release. PS6 is around the corner. Lets roll on to it and be done with "inadequate ssd size fiasco" Note: Instead of wasting my purchasing power to extremely diluted and (unfortunately) overpriced PS5, I invested in physical gold and bitcoin back then. Therefore, I am ready to hardpass PS6 too, if sony keep being overly greedy and keep diluting it's hardwares. Hopefully, this time, sony would listen amd's recommendations and buy the correct cpu+gpu combo for PS6. If not, it is absolutely fine by me. I'll have a look at PS6 Pro and PS7. The more I do not touch my investements, the more purchasing power it provides. So... No need to rush.

It is unnecessarily diluted, overweakened and overpriced device.
Under par gpu, under par cpu (which sony engineers had no choice but to overclock it, but as you know, fear of overheating ended up with leaking liquid metal) and more importantly inadequate ssd size is a total dealbreaker.
I waited for PS5Pro to be announced, but as you know it is also overpriced and some features are immodestly stripped down.
Well... It does not matter anymore, because PS6 era is around the corner.
First time in my life, I skipped a console generation as a whole. No PS5! No Ps5Pro! No Xbox Series S! No Xbox Series X! No Nintendo! No Nothing!
It is a good riddance! Because, currently dying gen probably was the worst one in the history of consoles. Lets roll on to next generation with ai features.
Not gonna miss PS5 which I was never gonna buy it anyway...
If sony does not make same mistakes with PS6 (or PS6Pro) I may (gladly) consider to buy it.

Can not wait to see, "There is no need for PS9!" discussion at the end of PS8 Pro era. It is going to be very... very interesting... until "There is no need for PS10!" discussion at the end of PS9 Pro's lifespan. Both debate will be pretty interesting and keep us busy... until "There is no need for PS11!" discussion comes along... Gaming media & journalism have very good roadmap for all of us in the future. I do not trust Konami administration members. Unfortunately, they (multiple times) proven in the past, how annoying and repulsive they are... I just do not care, what they decide to do or not. Dear friend @Runex2121 I turn on my PS3 for playstation move games, such as "Sports Champions 1 & 2" all the time. Kids love to play beach volley, archery, golf, tennis, bowling, skiing, you name it... Unfortunately, there is no equavelentlt joyful experience on PS4 or PC. I keep my PS3 at all times.
As a big veteran souls gamer, can not wait for Nioh 3 to be release on PC (packed with all DLC's of course) Nioh 2 was (and still is) absolutely instant classic.
World needs a car racing game (probably more than ever) build on burnout fundamentals. But this time; 1 - Cars needs to be real (brands) 2 - Career mode with trophies 3 - Cross platform support (if possible)
I already Platiniumed "Lies of P" (back in 2023) on gamepass. But I am very happy to see that it is free on PS+ for everyone. Pretty touching story and lovely music... Especially "Quixotic" from Seo Jayeong absolutely unreal...

Go ahead and consult to sony shareholders and/or investers about sony losing money on hardware. Financial reports derived by estimations are not accounting records. Lets see, per unit console cost of each console and see how much sony actually lost on every single console. Where are the invoices and records? For example, how much sony actually paid to Foxconn for PS4 production? Lets see the accounting records and bank records of transfered liquidity. Then we can have an some (not full) idea about the unit based cost. Lets see the invoices and bill of sales first. Just like I said previously; WE NEED TO FOCUS ON NOTHING BUT EVIDENCE. Not marketing mottos... Note: If we see official accounting records, we may notice that there were/are some mumbo jumbo occured on the book. Then will have different problem and discussions. We need to focus and see evidences, not consolidated financial statements. Because they are only statements and charts without official accounting records. sony is legal entity which is responsible to provide 100% factual evidence through it's official accounting records to Japanese Government and all other states sony operates in. I am only a natural entity which have no responsibility some other (3. party) company's accounting recordings.
Financial report you refer to is not sony's playstation departmant's accounting records which does not bring any evidence proving sony's net loss on PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5 hardware (console) sales.
It so obvious that "sony losing money on each playstation console" marketing motto is so much loved in gaming world. Go ahead and consult to sony shareholders and/or investers about sony losing money on hardware.
Financial reports derived by estimations are not accounting records. Lets see, per unit console cost of each console and see how much sony actually lost on every single console. Where are the invoices and records? For example, how much sony actually paid to Foxconn for PS4 production? Lets see the accounting records and bank records of transfered liquidity. Then we can have an some (not full) idea about the unit based cost. Lets see the invoices and bill of sales first.
Just like I said previously;
WE NEED TO FOCUS ON NOTHING BUT EVIDENCE.
Not marketing mottos...
Note: If we see official accounting records, we may notice that there were/are some mumbo jumbo occured on the book. Then will have different problem and discussions.
The main reason everything is in the dark and kept well hidden, is not causeless.

I understand your point and I truly appreciate it.
I really do.
But, sony is legal entity and I am only natural entity, therefore sony keeping the accounting records, not me.
If it was & is possible to sell the product cheaper, then it does point out that it was sold over the current "not cut" price.
That is all I am saying.

What does it say?
"These statements are based on management’s assumptions, judgments and beliefs in light of the information currently
available to it. Sony cautions investors that a number of important risks and uncertainties could cause actual results to differ materially"
So, where are the actual results? Where is the actual cost of the each single PS5 unit?
How come, sony generated record gaming revenue by April 2021 while PS5 was only released in Late November - Early December 2020?
Are we expected to believe that, sony recollected all it's PS5 hardware production expenses within 5 to 6 months?
By the way, where is actual accounting records and books?
We need to focus and see evidences, not consolidated financial statements. Because they are only statements and charts without official accounting records.
Lets remember, what sony say;

Where is the evidence of how much each PS5 console produced costed in Japanese Yen and/or Chinese Yuan?
So, we (you and me) can see, how much sony made on each single unit.
By the way, what you are saying that sony lost money on PS5 and PS5Pro hardwares sales and now sony losing even more in Chinese market, because of the price decrease.
