When we are this close to PS6, why should I waste my time and money for PS5?

I can not agree more.
Utterly enjoying my PS3 Slim since early summer days...

Not gonna buy this lazy release...
I already have it on steam probably since around 2009-2010
So...

I platiniumed "Code Vein" on PS4.
Unfortunately, it can be easily called "it is among the the worst souls games of all time" if not the worst.
Apart from the story, pretty much everything else is bad.

• Abortive combat mechanics. Hitbox issues. You do not even feel you that you hit enemies. Whole combat foundation is a big failure.
• Extremely simplistic and basic graphics. You can easily find better graphics in PS3 era games.
• Art style is (especially enemy creature designs are) straight up failure. Combination of bad taste and low quality art design.
• Cheap "big bouncy boobs" is adopted as lifeboat
• Really bad and forgettable musics
• Worst map designs... It is so shallow, you can't even believe it.
• Most unnecessary "(not to mention useless) giving presents to npc's" mechanics of all times.
• Most boring cutscenes in the modern times.
• Last a few trophy to get Platinium is nothing but pure (and very long) torture (and patience) test.
  List goes and on...
  I can not wait to instant hardpass the second game. Not gonna waste my time... Not a chance...

I am sorry but; making people, who have gamepass subscriptions to pay over microbe-soft's, activision acquisition, is nothing but oriental cunning (not to mention it is a very ugly and cheap trick).
So... I am not going to pay for microbe-soft's mistake.
Sorry...

Lets be honest for a moment;
Unfortunately, it does look awfully lame.
Also;
design laziness is screaming very loudly.
I can not pretend that, it is a good design.
Because (unfortunately) it is not.

Can not agree more.
There is no need to choke or slow kill PS4.
Who knows how many millions of gamers still using it constantly.

As a person who hardpassed PS5 and PS5 Pro, I use my PS4 very often (meaning: Every 3-4 days if not every other day)
Can not be more happy with my PS+ subscription and PS4 glacier white edition.
I bought 10 years of extension back in December 2020. Therefore, my PS+ subscription stands till 2030 December. I'll gladly purchase PS6 if sony stops it's oriental cunning during PS5 era and return to being reasonable and gamer friendly, PS4 era policy.
I also have xbox one s and fully fledged pc but I never stopped enjoying my PS4.

I was going to write you "Sorry to hear that, my friend", but I thought "if you bought it for pc, you may enjoy higher resolution, visual fidelity and more fluent frame rates. Therefore, it is not a loss at all..."

I tried Cocoon on gamepass a few years ago and (unlike to my prejudice and low expectation) it is was a total blast.
Very creative... curious... well thought out... unique game...
So, it was on my wishlist since then.
I am happy I'll be able to enjoy it from early October onwards
(Note: I am a soulsgamer who platiniumed Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3, Elden Ring, Nioh, Nioh 2, Lies of P, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Core Vein, Remnants From The Ashes... But I am happy to state that I was pretty surprised to witness how succesful and high quality the Cocoon was)

Nioh 2 looked not only better, but also (somehow) performed better.
By the way, when you turn on HDR, it is total an absolute eye candy on oled panels.
Hopefully, Nioh 3 can be as good as Nioh 2.

I platiniumed Nioh 1 and Nioh 2 on PS4, and platiniued both again on pc (Nioh 1 on steam & Nioh 2 on epic)
If the 3. Nioh turns out to be as good as Nioh 2, we are so lucky.
Open world maps with Nioh 2 marriage sounds pretty exciting.
I do not even mind, if the release date gets postponed to Spring of 2026.
You know, why?
Because, it is (always) better to have (any game):
1 - %100 ready to be played
2 - Bug free
3 - Well optimised
4 - As good as Nioh 2
rather than unnecessarly early releaesed, half-baked mess.
So.... Lets roll on to it...

Can not wait for new update.

They mistakenly overconfident that, we are all brainless creatures, who ready to buy everything that they release.
In reality, there are countless of decent people out there who do not buy those overpriced and overly diluted products.
But, as you know, media statements of companies on social media and gaming world articles never mentiones about silent and virtious people. On the contrary, we always read how whole world is blindly pre-ordering everything, no matter how bad is the products turns out to be, later on.
Basically, they are telling us:
"BE MINDLESS! MAKE OBVIOUS MISTAKES! BREAK YOUR BANK! LEARN NOTHING! REPEAT!"

There is a 3. kind, who instantly stop buying products from extremely greedy companies.
We usually vote with our wallet.
If companies saying to us "You are between rock and the hard place" (meaning: between overpricing and horrendously diluted product) We see it as an instant dealbreaker. Therefore, we do move on to our life and do not purchase any of those product.
Very simple!

Can not be more happy that, I instantly hardpassed on the PS5 release.
PS6 is around the corner. Lets roll on to it and be done with "inadequate ssd size fiasco"
Note: Instead of wasting my purchasing power to extremely diluted and (unfortunately) overpriced PS5, I invested in physical gold and bitcoin back then. Therefore, I am ready to hardpass PS6 too, if sony keep being overly greedy and keep diluting it's hardwares. Hopefully, this time, sony would listen amd's recommendations and buy the correct cpu+gpu combo for PS6. If not, it is absolutely fine by me. I'll have a look at PS6 Pro and PS7. The more I do not touch my investements, the more purchasing power it provides. So... No need to rush.

I wonder, if there will be some resolution increase on "Aaahh!!! Real Monsters" ?

As I many times mentioned here in the past, "I hardpassed PS5 on the announcement date" which literally I can not be more happy.
It is unnecessarily diluted, overweakened and overpriced device.
Under par gpu, under par cpu (which sony engineers had no choice but to overclock it, but as you know, fear of overheating ended up with leaking liquid metal) and more importantly inadequate ssd size is a total dealbreaker.
I waited for PS5Pro to be announced, but as you know it is also overpriced and some features are immodestly stripped down.
Well... It does not matter anymore, because PS6 era is around the corner.
First time in my life, I skipped a console generation as a whole. No PS5! No Ps5Pro! No Xbox Series S! No Xbox Series X! No Nintendo! No Nothing!
It is a good riddance! Because, currently dying gen probably was the worst one in the history of consoles. Lets roll on to next generation with ai features.
Not gonna miss PS5 which I was never gonna buy it anyway...
If sony does not make same mistakes with PS6 (or PS6Pro) I may (gladly) consider to buy it.

Lets rool on to next generation and be done with this most shameful playstation & xbox era.
I am actively using my PS4 (glacier white edition) + PS3 Slim + Xbox one s and pc.
Lost nothing by not participating to current disgraceful console era.
There is nothing to be sad about, because next gen is not in the far future.
