Re: Anticipated PSVR2 Shooter Vertigo 2 Finally Arrives in December

maybemaybemaybe

@ThorsHammer GT7 and a firewall ultra are also both 1st party (albeit one of those not living up to expectation). Rather than studio perhaps the focus should be on what's exclusive, where you can throw REVillage and shortly RE4 into the mix, which were both heavily funded by Sony.
A roadmap for new titles is so overdue though, although that extends to flat PS5 games too. Sony has been coasting lately and not showing very much at all that's in the pipeline.

Re: Assassin's Creed Nexus VR Looks Incredible, But It's Not Confirmed for PSVR2 Yet

maybemaybemaybe

@Jaz007 yeah really not sure what people claiming it's dead are on about, like seriously were you expecting AAA bangers each week or something?

The PS5 itself has about 3 legitimate new-gen only games so far. There's been a pandemic that started 3 years ago significantly impacting studios that everyone seems to have forgotten about that was right in the development time frame of most games.

That said, I think Sony's silence about upcoming 1st party titles is insulting (and that includes regular PS5 games too which people seems also to forget) which feeds the sentiment, which no doubt impacts the interest of potential new buyers.

@gabuloid really? I've found it absolutely awesome. Could obviously do with more marketing from Sony/a first party titles roadmap but other than that it's stacked with games. Even with what ports it has most of them are the best version of that game.

As someone who didn't already have quest or PCVR I'm absolutely stoked with it. GT7, Pavlov and RE8 alone made it worth the price of admission and there's tonnes more than that. Easily the best gaming experiences I ever had.

Re: Meta Quest 3 Revealed as Cheaper, All-In Rival to PS5's PSVR2

maybemaybemaybe

Just got an email from meta advertising the quest 3 starting at $829.99 AUD (50 Australian pesos less than the PSVR2). Very little difference for such a lesser piece of hardware.

I wonder if all the same people paying out Sony for the cost of their headset will afford Meta the same privilege, or if they'll perhaps finally accept that technology comes at a cost that not everyone can afford.

Re: Publisher Take-Two Claims It's 'Not Seeing Pushback' From Players on $70 Price Tag

maybemaybemaybe

Seems an unpopular opinion but I think $70 is actually pretty good, particularly for giant games like GTA. These games cost so much time and money to produce to meet everyones expectations of being bigger, better and more graphically impressive, yet gamers think they shouldn't cost a penny more, even despite inflationary pressures added into the mix.

It's not cheap clothes being made in a sweat shop, it's a huge production that offers hours and hours of value. I want things cheaper too so buy plenty at sales, but I'm not going to begrudge them pricing something reasonably.

Re: PS5 Pro Is '100%' Happening, Says Reliable Report

maybemaybemaybe

Imagine how great all these cross-gen games will play on a PS5 Pro!

In seriousness though, should this be true it's an absolute joke given the lack of optimised titles for the current system, how dare it need an upgrade already when people haven't even been able to get it and there's only been a small handful of current gen gamesreleased so far.

Re: Reminder: Claim 19 Great PS4 Games Before They Leave PS Plus Next Week

maybemaybemaybe

@Bez87 no guarantee of course but my theory is something similar for PSVR2 early adopters with some classic titles as the full retail release of the headset is 3 days later on May 12th.

Sony have been dead silent on VR2 ports of games like astrobot rescue mission and Wipeout etc. and this would make the headset a far more compelling option given the price tag.

Re: Pavlov VR (PSVR2) - A Must-Buy for PSVR2 Owners

maybemaybemaybe

@NEStalgia to be clear, you can play this without voice chat, but TTT is based largely on communication. The other modes are all pretty good too, it's basically counterstrike in VR.

TTT is some of the funniest ***** I've ever played though and the lobbies have been overwhelmingly positive spaces so far.

Re: Out Today: PSVR2 Brings Next-Gen VR to the Masses

maybemaybemaybe

@Chibbie Try angling the headset more on your head, with the back of the strap lower than the top of your ears and the front of the strap very high on the forehead. I tweaked this further for myself today and found it massively helped with fining the sweet spot. If you're finding the headset digging into the bridge of your nose at all then you should raise the front of the strap even higher.

Also push the button on the back to loosen the strapto help getting it on, if you haven't already, as it would definitely be a squeeze trying to get it on as it comes out fo the box. Hope that helps a bit.
