Anyone wondering if it's next-gen or not needs to try resident evil village in VR. The answer will become immediately apparent even in the opening menu screen.

Serious question as it took me a couple of mins to realise it didn't just turn on on it's own.

Today was already going pretty well. But this news just made it better. Really interested to see what comes out of there.

Oh man GT7 is transformative with this headset! Gutted I have to finish work before I can get back on it but after 15 minutes I know I'm going to sink hundreds of hours into that game alone in VR.

@RBMango I actually thought it was paced pretty well and a very good adaptation (rather than playing out like a game). The stuff they cut out such as Ellie running off on a horse and the clickers/boater section of the university weren't really necessary to move the plot along.

@NEStalgia also worth noting that if you wish list games with no current release date it will ping you when they're available to purchase.

@NEStalgia what it will do though is list all your wish listed items together so you can just scroll down the list and see what discounts are applied at present. Any new sales though you'll get individual notifications per game.

It's a pretty good system, definitely keeps me spending!

Really should have Horizon Call of the Mountain as an option. Pretty sure I won't be the only one with my sole focus on VR2 in Feb.

@oURSiSaBLE unfortunately Amazon doesn't allow foreign cards to purchase PSN Gift Cards either unfortunately. Might have to see if there's an alternate source easier to purchase from.

@Gooseman42 There aren't even any VR2 updates on the PS blog FFS. Really hoping there's a state of play in the next few weeks.

Quite confident we should start hearing more from devs soon at least. I'm assumong their embargoes were awaiting CES or another as-yet-unannounced event.

Combined with the visuals the Tempest audio will make this epic in VR

@UltimateOtaku91 unfortunately you'll need a US credit card to do so as they've removed some of the workarounds to get store access from other countries. If anyone has any other workarounds that still work ill gladly be enlightened though!
Have the same situation in Australia, full price games are 20% cheaper in the states

@thefourfoldroot1 really trying not to set my expectations too high for CES but any extra major title announcements are welcome, even if only to help sway more people toward the headset.
UE5 will be huge, particularly with delivering more 60fps titles with decent illumination. Lumen is a pretty decent compromise on ray tracing IMO so that will be a big help in raising the standard graphically.

It will really take off once we start getting PS5 exclusives and no longer held back by cross-gen titles (which admittedly were necessary while stock issues were sorted).
PSVR2 is set to be amazing but god damn do Sony need to start marketing properly

Yeah user voted basically just means a popularity contest so people will have just given it 1st in every category without any consideration.

I wonder how many didn't have time for Forbidden West in between Elden Ring and Ragnarok. Absolute shame Horizon got nothing (graphics, world design and Dualsense use were great) but I'm slightly consoled by the fact that Elden Ring didn't either. Great game but still over hyped by the From fanatics in my opinion.

@__jamiie it's not really being utilised on any cross-gen titles though, so they don't provide a fair indication of the benefits as the games structurally need to adhere to the lower performing hardware. It's not just about load times but how the games are designed.

If you've played R&C Rift Apart (a PS5 exclusive) that gives an indication of how without the SSD travelling through rifts and immediately being in a completely new environment wouldn't be possible.

Fair play though when the main difference people are rabbiting on about are reduced load times, just bear in mind the SSD allows for more than that.

@Sequel it's being rolled out regionally, so Australia and NZ gained access from local suppliers earlier. Went live hours ago in Oz and still available so confident people in other regions (even without invites) should be fine.

High price/small existing library has likely deterred a lot of people from jumping in just yet.

Been on sale in Australia now for an hour and still available for pre-order at multiple retailers, so I reckon the demand isn't as crazy as some were worried about. Should minimise the attraction for scalpers too which is a welcome bonus.
