So what about amd modernize factory so Sony forced to upgrade speculation? It seems it wasnt true or Sony has lot of spare parts and believes that nowadays users upgrade and new users buy used ps4s.

Anyway Im glad Sony is moving on with something new but still worrying about new games optimalization for lowspec ps4 - I mean maybe more games will be little choppy like JC3 and Witcher without pressure on devs.

Maybe it would be good if Sony makes some lowest quality requirements for both. If higher model is minimum fhd/60 then lower model should run fhd/30 or hd/60 minimum.

Inteteresting comments. I had my best times with gt5 and from the day one! Gt5 had something no other game had. I have Project Cars and forza, but feeling is So different. You cant blame PD for not being technically best. And it doesnt matter! When you are driving 300kph you dont look outside if building has good texture )). It was always about gt atmosphere which I didnt found in any other game on the market.

I believe PD can deliver game this year. They need to finish physics, netcode, sound and gfx. But they dont need to have all cars, tracks and SP content from the launch. But Im curious if VR will complicate it. They want to deliver it on launch.

I think we cannot simply say if doom is perfect or not. Personaly I enjoy single player campaign and also few modes from multiplayer. I only miss campaign multiplayer aka coop. For me its not 10/10, but lets say 85/100.

Its entertaining, Im motivated to find secrets and multiplayer is interesting.

Its like combination of Doom1,2 and QuakeIII. There are attempts to play on nostalgia strings and I like it.

Its not only one aspect that makes great game. But ND managed to put many of aspects into one package. I was amazed by marketplace in madagascar city. There are so many people doing things....And all people look so natural. I never saw this kind of animation. Its not about quantity of people, but about how they work as a whole.

I enjoy doom on ps4. It was surprise how easy it can be handled on dualshock. Fast action, curiosity what else can I unlock and certainity I will go through maps again for collecting all secrets. I only hope there will be some secret e1m1 level

I didnt like start like in U2,3 , but it is better and better onwards
Grappling hook is great addon! Also fights seem to be more fluent or with more action. IDK how to write it, but fights are more about fighting than "ok, so circle, triangle square" in U3. Do you have same feeling like I have?

Even now there are games which werent optimized at launch on ps4. For example Just cause 3. Do you guys think that if on ps4k The game will run perfect, devs would optimize hiccups on ps4? I really dont think So. The margin what optimize and what not will be pushed. Because optimizing is always pain in The ass.

This is problem mainly for multiplats. Of course it depends also on how many ps4k are sold.

@Anguspuss I agree 4k is not major step. Like 3D (I admit I was early adopter of 3D on pc and on ps3 and really enjoyed it). But its already seen on pc, where theres no so much difference in gpu tech demos and possibilities like 10 years back. I believe VR could be breakthrough. Maybe its right time now.

@Biolan I wanted to preorder VR but now Im waiting. Because I bought PS4 primarily for racing games and mainly for upcoming gran turismo. Now Im waiting if I will buy ps4k or psvr for better experience. I really dont know. So waiting sony....waiting...not buying anything now....

@get2sammyb But how? Of course there will be pressure to make functional games. But I dont believe developers will be pushed to achieve top quality on ps4 if they will focus on top quality on ps4k.

On ps4k devs can use 2times more powerful gpu. Will they use it only for framerate, resolution or extra effects? Or will be PS4 punished more in terms of playability? I think it also depends on fact how many ps4k will be sold.

I am really fan of inovation. But Im really curious here.

update: Im long time in pc game scene and there is sometimes pain in the ass, when game is badly optimized and runs smoothly only on best hardware. Big advantage of consoles always was one hardware which forced developers to optimize games for. What will be now main goal? Optimize for ps4 and then add ps4k effects/resolution/fps? Or Optimize for ps4k and then cut down for ps4? If first option - its good. If second option - sonys in trouble

@get2sammyb @Quintumply On PS3 I loved wipeout HD and motorstorm series. Maybe more classic ones (up to pacific rift). IDK but I think now there is no game with similar atmosphere and crazy pace.

Anyway Im glad evolution will continue to develop and I think codemasters are good choice, maybe best I can imagine. I hope they will not abuse evolution to restart McRae

Just playing Uncharted collection and finished U1(for second time), U2(for first time) and starting U3. I have to say, that U2 seems to me much better than U1. If U3 is so much better than U1 and U2 like in reviews is and U4 will be so much better than U3 like everybody says....there certainly will be super duper collectors edition of all 4 parts ....just joking....I wanted to write, that I cant even imagine, how great fun it will be!

I wanted to preorder PS vr. But now Im confused. I bought ps4 few months ago for Gran turismo, which should release this year. Beta should take place this spring. But gt is in list of games for ps4k. What that means? That vr in this game will be only for ps4k? It starts to stink a bit. Maybe vr wont be So much cheap. Vr for 400$ , maybe controllers and camera for 100$, new PS for 400-500$. Viola ! We have 1000$ ! Yes still cheaper than pc + oculus or vibe. But I think now lot of people will be confused. And lot of people wont buy anything. So for me no preorder for vr. Im waiting Sony...

And for underpowered ps4... I think its nonsense. Of course multiplats which are not optimized are slower than on top notch Pcs. But gpu is much more stronger and CPU is stronger too than on ps3. And if I look on gt5 or 6 what was possible on ps3 with 256MB RAM....in fhd. Wow!

Its not that bad. BUT I am afraid of one thing: Developers will not do So much optimizing and polishing.

Third party developers will not optimize at all saying their engine looks best on ps4k and on ps4 you will get some Basic play. There will be some medium detail setting and lower framerate.

First party developers will have to work on best experience on ps4k and so will not have time to optimize fully on ps4.

And then instead of patching for ps4 to achieve better framerate, their support through game life time will get worse and much worse for ps4...because there will be more and more of them.

Its not prediction. Its little Anger and fear. Just bought ps4 on january. If I knew this, I would Wait.

Another thing...One big reason I have ps4 is awaited Gran turismo. If ps4 will be only some stripped down version that will be unfair to players. But imagine how gt5 and gt6 looked stunning on Old ps3. So even on ps4 new gt should look perfect.

Technically two times more powerful gpu -> two times more framerate if CPU isnt bottleneck. So maybe there will be only 30->60 fps or fhd->4k benefit and nothing more in many games. So for developers no need to make better textures, better effects,......we will see.

If Im not mistaken, you can choose to buy either separate episodes or full game (its called hitman experience), which is priced like other aaa titles. So why that discomfort guys?

I think big advantage of consoles is that hardware is same so developers can optimalize game exactly to that piece of gfx and other chips. Its normal that developers use some form of cheating, which is not possible for more types of chips.

I played on ps3 towards its end cycle ( i mean before ps4) alongside PC and never thought that it is obsolete or slow.

I think its better to optimalize software than have hope that it will run on stronger type of machine.

And psvr? Its OK with one condition: the extra box is used only for vr. That means other users are not affected during conventional play.

Ps4 has plenty of power. Did some studio used all of CPU cores yet? Imagine that even ps3 was hd/fullhd. Ps4 has so much more powerfull hw!

I remember playing gt5 on ps3 in 3d. It was great! And even ps3 could render picture for each eye separately. OK it was only in 720p
