Re: Feature: 10 Games We Wish Would Be Patched for PS4 Pro

fybyfyby

@thedevilsjester I agree. Lot of people hated QTEs, but like in GOW series I appreciated it. I read reviews so I knew game is short and its more or less like interactive film. I was happy about story, great visuals and of course...in the end I was sad, that this wasnt only prologue But definitely its for me one of the most memorables games so far on ps4 in a positive meaning.

Re: Feature: 10 Games We Wish Would Be Patched for PS4 Pro

fybyfyby

@get2sammyb about order 1886 - I personally loved the game! It was only too short for me but I bought it for 20£ so length was adequate. It looked so amazing on PS4 that I even can't imagine what beside hdr and resolution could be souped up on pro. I always hoped there will be sequel. Sadly it will not happen probably. Another game I'm waiting for sequel for is Heavenly sword from PS3. It was gorgeous! I hope hellblade will have some strong team ninja DNA

Re: Poll: Did You Buy a PS4 Pro?

fybyfyby

@Star-Lord my opinion is that pro with psvr is better bundle than pro with 4ktv. But it depends on if you have family and wants to play together on tv a lot. I think next year 4k tvs with good hdr will be much more affordable - because premium uhd will go to lower tier tvs. But any way you go you will experience ton of fun!

Re: Poll: Did You Buy a PS4 Pro?

fybyfyby

@Splat exactly and didn't mention that even hdr tvs are not exactly same. There's several hdr implementations on 8bit panels with wider gamut and there's only few true hdr with less then astronomical price

Re: Out Today: PS4 Pro, The World's Most Powerful Console

fybyfyby

Wow lot of problems with new tvs . About hdr10 . I think tv should support hdr10 or Dolby vision. There's nothing between. It should communicate with ps4 right way. Try tv hdmi settings. I had it set by default to 4:2:0 try 4:4:4 or similar. It should then be able to receive hdr signal from hdmi port you configured. But anyway if you don't have oled or quantum dot screen there is not big hdr effect because all other screens use ips or va variant of screen, so they are technically 8bit with some 10bit interpolation. I personally have philips 6561 and hdr is visible but mainly as wider gamut . There isn't so much difference in contrast.

I don't really understand why on pc hdr should work better.

Re: Hardware Review: PS4 Pro - 4King Amazing?

fybyfyby

@R-Fresh I tried yesterday to transfer all data circa 900GB from PS4 to pro but it showed so much time to complete , that I only transferred all but games circa 10GB in 15 minutes and then manually issued download games on pro from library.

You don't have to transfer the data. You can backup and then restore. It's up to you. Transfer is for people who don't want any hassle with USB drives and simply want to seamlessly literally push button and come when it's all ready.

Re: Hardware Review: PS4 Pro - 4King Amazing?

fybyfyby

@kyleforrester87 I played on 4k (pseudo hdr) tv 49inch, one meter(circa 3,3 feet) from screen, but I also tried all options where available. I tried Shadow of Mordor also on 1080p with higher details(they call it favor quality), but I didnt see much difference. 4k was better for me because of more preceivable aliasing in 1080. It depends app from app.

I think as more games come, benefits of pro also for 1080p players will be more clear to everyone. Its remarkable machine. For me one and only one caveat is that in base mode pro is set and clocked like og ps4, so there is no benefit for old games at all like it is on pc if you upgrade. I understand it technically(read M.Cerny interview), but its a pitty. I dont mean any higher details, but some games (eg just cause 3) can drop framerate really hard, so any boost can help.

Re: Hardware Review: PS4 Pro - 4King Amazing?

fybyfyby

So I played more Ratchet and also Shadow of Mordor, Uncharted 4 and Helldivers (all are now patched already for pro) and my conclusion is if you have good 4k hdr tv or if you have psvr go for pro, its really big difference. If you dont have any of these and dont plan to buy it next year, pro is not so much difference and its not worth upgrade - in my opinion.

Re: Hardware Review: PS4 Pro - 4King Amazing?

fybyfyby

I confirm that vr experience is much better. Tried battlezone and vr worlds with pro patches and it's really as I thought it will be already on PS4 for it to look right .
Also ratchet and clank looks very very good really it's different story, but for me vr was main concern

Curiosity is that on PS4 I was unable to beat battlezone in 30+ games either solo or online. On pro I beated it my first game solo on normal without any bigger problem. So there's definitely some kind of pro aura around the system lol ) definitely looking forward for some esl games ))

Re: Feature: Should You Buy the PS4 Pro?

fybyfyby

OK so pro si home! Now transferring data....but it's really slow (on gigabit network) so I skipped games and transfer only settings, saves and media. Then I'll download some games separately. Hope to see some nice 4K soon

Re: Feature: Should You Buy the PS4 Pro?

fybyfyby

So...today I got notification from my retailer, that PRO is waiting for me. Wow, 2 days earlier...great

Anyway I ordered also active 4k HDMI splitter for that HDR psvr unit issue. Do you have guys some experience with hdmi splitters? If it supports 4k and hdr, it should solve the psvr hdr problem, shouldnt it? I also looked on some hdmi switches, but they are much more expensive then splitters.

Re: Review: Just Dance 2017 (PS4)

fybyfyby

Hi I saw in shop JD2017 unlimited game and nowhere I can find if it's full game with lifetime subscription or one year subscription to unlimited service or if that's only sign of compatibility with unlimited service. Do you know ? I'm confused because I saw also just dance gold and plain just dance editions.

Re: Feature: How PS4 Pro Will Bring Bullshot Quality Visuals to Your Home

fybyfyby

@leucocyte i saw that presentation. But I get different feeling from it. It was about putting gpu style computing on CPU. And of course cell was more like gpu computing unit with one CPU core , so it did much better job then standard x86 CPU which is ineffective for that type of task. Sony knew that but it was in architecture shift to strong gpu and gpu computing in case of PS4. So basically Sony is telling to developers yeah we know trend is to have plenty of gpu tasks and few CPU tasks so you don't need complementary gpu like CPU cores so we give you standard x86 cores and yes jaguar is not so strong so we will give you 8 core CPU. So use parallelism well and shift the computing tasks to gpu.

And about that gpu king @SanderEvers. Yeah man three years ago I built gaming pc two times more powerful than yours . And what? I don't get your point sorry . But I understand there will always be people competing with salary, tv size, little boy size, car speed or computer performance . Maybe it's natural. It's animal instinct. You show us you are king and we will get down to our knees But man you screwed it a lot with that gtx960 lol thats really weak gpu according to what you tried to show to us. Maybe Fiji or titan x or 1080 or rx480 or 1070 or 1060 or 970 or 980 . But you wrote 960 , oh no.....sad man

Re: Review: Tethered (PS4)

fybyfyby

Tethered is great game but for me it's far from relaxing. It's always look here tether there switch views look there another starving peep look here look there and so on but it's fun yes sometimes I have problem with fixed cameras because I can't tether peep from one place to another without placing a waypoint for him.

But hell yeah! When I read it's something between black&white and settlers it was nobrainer. Anyway I think settlers remake should do fine on vr

Re: Battlezone Reboots with Bad Ass PS4 Pro Support

fybyfyby

Hey guys, today I curiously asked Rebellion if they will add some rpg elements , something like pilot levels, customization or anything what is giving you more benefits if you play a lot. I was answered that I only scratched the surface and they are planning to add lot of things. So this seems like we have a reason to looking forward for new updates!

Re: Battlezone Reboots with Bad Ass PS4 Pro Support

fybyfyby

@JaxonH Hey I picked up seagate mobile 2tb they have even bigger capacities but they're too much expensive for me . It's not ssd nor sshd. But should be better than one built in and for me main reason is bigger capacity. 1tb is too low for me.

According to battlezone... now I just finished online lobby on easy. We got up to volcano with 3 other people. Also destroyed two nemesis but we couldn't pass through volcano itself. So we ended a bit before the end. Oh no so once again

Re: Talking Point: How's Your PlayStation VR Hype Holding Out?

fybyfyby

For me vr is same like I bought 3dfx voodoo for the first time. Jaw drop but of course I will get used to it. Only thing that I don't like is heavy aliasing in games so I'm looking forward for some pro treatment.

You know when I fly in wraith fighter in eve valkyrie it reminds me Star Wars a lot. I can't wait for some sw stuff mainly the xwing vr mission. It has so big potential in these games ! Do you remember wing commander? Then you now what games I think of

Another great vr concept is asymmetrical multiplayer social games like in playroom vr. Sometimes I think it's more fun then vr worlds and it's free !

And last but not least are experiences which were "demoed" by littlestar app. If there will be support for YouTube 360 videos that would be great. Also if there are some educational apps on ps store it would greatly help to sell platform. Especially in families .

So far so good Sony!

Re: Battlezone Reboots with Bad Ass PS4 Pro Support

fybyfyby

Firstly nice to see how will pro enhance vr experience. What I see in vr games so far, higher tier of super sampling is really needed because of lower res. I'm really looking for pro now

And yes the difficulty is really a problem but reminds me of good old games. Where you were normally killed in second screen after 20 seconds of play lol:-)

I miss only more robust rpg experience. For start it should be fine if you can continue to higher difficulty with tank which you ended with on lower difficulty. Something like persistent equipment. It would scale with game difficulty nicely. Then maybe some pilot level and experience and some buffs which is not erased with your dead.

Anyway very nice game !

Re: Review: The Playroom VR (PS4)

fybyfyby

@Jamix012 hey! Try "keep talking and nobody explodes" it's also very good asymmetrical multiplayer

I found sherif and cat&mouse games most appealing playing with family. Beware! Cat can with it's head slide mouses farther from cheese pieces! It's really lot of fun

Re: Review: EVE: Gunjack (PS4)

fybyfyby

This os really funny game, I can recommend it! Also pixel gear which was added recently is very good . It's simple but for me it's type of game vr and move are made for. I'm really looking forward for other of these gun shooting games

Re: PS4 Pro Has More Memory Than the Base Model

fybyfyby

Im little confused because I thought at least games with bad frame rate will run better on pro out of the box. But Cerny said that CPU will under clock to 1.6 and gpu will also underclock to base freq like original PS4 gpu. And also that half of gpu will be switched off. So that means playing standard PS4 games (not enhanced) means same CPU and almost gpu - because of new architecture so maybe there will be some boost. But I don't see much room for improvement.

Memory will help with switching and maybe opening trophies or store from game? That would be great!

Re: Sony Partners with ESL for PS4 Tournaments

fybyfyby

And imagine classic situation in family...."hey stop playing the game I want to watch my great romance series"...so you simply take display out of dock and continue playing. Thats good. And also design is better than I was afraid of.

Re: Sony Partners with ESL for PS4 Tournaments

fybyfyby

@Boerewors Yeah its cool! I have 3DS now and can imagine this can be perfect substitute. Ok you cant put it in pocket...

It looks good. Detachable controller parts and splitting into two controllers is great idea! I like it. But I just bought psvr and have preordered pro, so I will not invest into anything else next two years

Re: Poll: What Are Your Thoughts on PlayStation VR So Far?

fybyfyby

Today I tried playroom vr games in 2 and they were gorgeous and superfun! Totally different experience than ordinary playroom. Great for parties up to 5 people. It's similar principle like Keep talking and nobody explodes when one has vr and sees different picture than tv watchers. In two games watchers need controllers (1-4) in two games vr guy need controller, so it's multiplayer up to 5 people with only one controller. Try it it's for free and most fun of any games for vr so far!

Re: Talking Point: What's Your PlayStation VR Launch Experience Been Like?

fybyfyby

@Deljo What I see in dark scenes is some film over screen. If I focus on that I realize it's screen effect like if you watching tv too close. In brighter areas it's still visible but if I focus on environment, I don't perceive it.

Anyway this "grid" I see is much more finer than actual perceived resolution maybe thanks to rgb pentile matrix. I think it's normal. For me it looks like if I wear helmet with plastic view zone in vr world

Re: Talking Point: What's Your PlayStation VR Launch Experience Been Like?

fybyfyby

So far I'm 4 hours into it and my experience is great . I tried almost all demos and full versions of driveclub and tumble. The games are both great! I remember tumble on PS3 on 3D , I loved it! Driveclub is good old driveclub but I already know that I will go through whole tour .

What's surprise is that playroom vr is very funny even if I played only one game as a single player so far. Can't wait to play with my girlfriend

And there is really massive wave of games. I'm surprised , really

And yes , that little processing is really loud even if I'm only in system menu with psvr turned on.

Sony, good job!
