Re: PS5's Coolest Collection of Controllers and Console Covers Are Out Now

Thanks to the lack of pro option again Sony.

I mean you’d think any company would want to treat all its customers equally, especially when the customers you ignore have paid for your most expensive product. If anything shouldn’t it be the pro that gets plates not the OG? lol

This really irritates me as a consumer. I mean they’ve gone to the trouble of producing these in the first place, how hard can it be to add one extra mould to the production?

Re: Hypothetically, Could Sony Stop Its PS5 Ports from Running on Xbox Helix?

@BAMozzy yes I understand that, please don’t be patronising. It’s you that’s missed my point…

Microsoft setting up terms with steam in that to allow steam onto Xbox and therefore giving steam access to ‘x’ number of new gamers, all purchases would come with a commission if made via Xbox. It may be that MS’s allowance of steam comes with them wanting a cut which would be understandable. Steam get access to more players and therefore more sales so is a win/win.

Not saying this is the case but it’s a way MS could make money from a setup like this that the article didn’t highlight.

@Fiendish-Beaver honestly it’s the best money you could spend on the switch in my opinion and made me actually want to game on the system. Couldn’t imagine playing the Zelda’s or Metroid without it.

The S2 version has a few nice upgrades too like programmable back buttons and super silent/smooth sticks. It’s actually become my favourite controller and the battery lasts probably double the dualsense.

Re: Opinion: God of War: Sons of Sparta Is the Smaller PS5 Game Fans Want, and I Hope We See More

I’m really glad Sony have made a smaller budget game and think it’s something they should do more of to pad out the release schedule and give old forgotten franchises a new lease of life.

This particular game though doesn’t interest me sadly. Don’t like the art style and the metacritic has done nothing to sway me over when there’s so many other games I’d rather play before it.

Re: Some PS5 Users Really Are Paying More for Their Games on PS Store Than Others

Dynamic pricing works with supply and demand. Due to the nature of digital game sales the supply is effectively infinite meaning it can only work on the demand side.

That likely means higher prices will occur for popular games (to maximise profit) and lower prices for games not selling well (to stimulate sales).

This is a crappy move in my opinion and something to be concerned about an all digital future.

Re: Opinion: If Sony's Doubling Down on Its Most Popular Franchises, Where's Uncharted?

datamonkey

I totally get why sequels are made as they sell well but thanks to the high risk these days it’s sad to think these studios are becoming just same franchise studios.

To me this makes the closure of bluepoint even worse when they could’ve been remaking some more left field, lower seller remakes that fans are clamouring for to mix things up like sly cooper, Jak, wipeout, infamous or whatever.

Re: Video: Silence as PSVR2 Turns Three Years Old - Is Sony's PS5 Headset Dead?

datamonkey

I was kind and voted it’s dying but really it does already seem as alive as bluepoint at this stage.

If Sony took resources away from their single player bread and butter development for live service, then psvr resources would’ve gone long before that.

Is a shame and another lovely bit of hardware that they spent a fortune developing left to rot like my beloved vita.
