Wuchang: Fallen Feathers PS5

The Wuchang: Fallen Feathers development team within Leenzee looks to have dissolved, according to Chinese outlets and sources.

Also picked up by Eurogamer, the PS5 title's producer and director Xia Siyuan left the company at the start of this year. As a result of the departure, employees were reportedly told that they will be moved to outsourced projects or "support work tied to other projects".

Apparently, most of the staff refused to pivot to other work, and so Wuchang's development team has disbanded.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers was considered a sales success after its Summer 2025 release, with publisher 505 Games stating it "achieved significant sales volumes". While post-launch content like premium DLC and expansions was not promised, it was thought Leenzee would continue working on the game.

In its most recent patch notes, from November 2025, the team said: "We will continue to walk alongside you, constantly polish the game, and jointly create a better gaming experience. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for your consistent support and companionship!" No further patches have arrived since.

In our Wuchang: Fallen Feathers PS5 review, we awarded a 6/10 to the Soulslike and called it "enjoyable enough", calling attention to significant performance problems. The studio committed to addressing those issues in post-launch updates.
