@NinjaSixx some people had the choice of buy Digital PS5 or don't buy it at all. These things were extremely scarce for the first year and a half and scalpers were charging crazy money for either version. In the end I'm glad I went digital. I game share with a friend so we split the cost of most games. And I also now own the Portal so when I'm playing that away from the house I don't need to worry about switching disks. All my games are digital so they're ready to go.
It works like a dream for me. Yesterday I used it on lunch break at the office and then in the evening while my wife watched TV on the couch. I love this thing.
I just fired mine up at work, 30 minute drive from home. Started playing Spiderman and it runs like a dream. So glad I got this device. My boss is now also thinking of getting one, haha!
@trev666 Digital Foundry aren't going to be able to tell you how well it will work in your home or anywhere else you plan to play this. Try out Remote Play now for yourself on your phone and see if it's any good.
@Freddy_Vegas It's game of the YEAR. So why shouldn't it be eligable? And there is a cut off already. Any game that release from now on get pushed to next years awards.
Tears of the Kingdom will get my nod for GOTY. Hi FI Rush will get my vote in any category it's nominated in. Haven't played Spiderman 2 or BG3 yet and likely won't this year so can't judge. But given I've played Spiderman 1 and the sequal seems to be more of the same, I probably wouldn't have given it my number 1 spot. And BG3 isn't usually my type of game. Do intend to try it at some point though.
Seems like if you don't own a Switch you can probably add a review point or 2. Being derivative of Smash wouldn't bother me if I didnt have access to Smash. Also, Smash Ultimate campaign is fairly repetitive too. They mix it up a bit each fight but not much.
@trev666 "confused you say this is a better game but it got a worse score".
If it's better do they give it a 10? What if Spiderman 3 is better again, is that an 11 out of 10? It can be a better game technically but if it's also more of the same then that should go against it in my view.
@Max_the_German "I‘m wating for the Digital Foundry review, with focus on input lag". I mean, Digital Foundry can run their tests but your WiFi is going to be different to theirs.
@ImGumbyDammit Thank you for explaining how flops work. I couldn't care less if this flops or not. It doesn't have any software that would get locked on it like the Vita if it does flop. It's allowing people more ways to play if they require it, which going by a poll on this very website that over 3000 people have voted on, roughly 25% said they would buy this. Including me. Really looking forward to getting this.
@Gamer_Guy if you restrict yourself from playing games that run at 30 fps you're gonna miss out on a lot of fantastic games. Some of the best games I've played the last few years were at 30 fps.
Only joined Playstation about 6 months ago so I'm mostly using it to play older games I missed out on. Most I've spent on a game so far is €10. Still have loads of older games to play through first so I'm not too interested in this conference.
Game of the Year for me so far. Loving it so far and I'm only about 10 hours in. Anyone who won't play this game because it's not 60fps 4K bla bla bla is missing out. Their loss.
@NinjaNicky no issue with waiting for games to go on sale. I do it all the time myself. There's very few games I buy day 1 anymore. Tears of the Kingdom will be a day one purchase for sure though.
@nomither6 some of the best games I've ever played are on Switch. I own all 3 current platforms, love all 3. The games I've bought full price were more than value for money. Put close to 200 hours into Breath of the Wild alone and barely scratched the surface of what the game had to offer.
I get people like different things and that's fine, but to flat out say that all Nintendo Switch games aren't worth it basically makes you sound like a 1990's fanboy.
@NinjaNicky "No Switch game should be over £40". Wow, what a terrible take. You've missed out on some of the best games ever made if that's your opinion.
I'm all for cloud gaming, love it. But having it tied to the console is a bad move. Just have it in the cloud like Gamepass or Stadia (RIP). Still wouldn't buy a dedicated handheld for cloud only though. My phone with a Razer Kishi is a much better alternative.

Re: Video: Why Sony Will Never Make the PS Vita 2
"We all want one, but does it really make sense?"
Do we? Do we all want one? Because going by sales numbers of the Vita, no. We don't all want one.
Re: Arguably PS5's Best and Worst Games of 2023 Now Have Trials on PS Plus Premium

I will now be able to play Switch, Xbox and PlayStation on handheld. Great news. Day one purchase.

PlayStation and xbox remain powered off. Its Tears of the Kingdom all the way and will continue to be for a long time to come yet. Incredible game.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Street Fighter 6?
I'm more of a Tekken guy so not sure I'll pick up this. Maybe on sale in a year or 2.
