@themightyant that was exactly what I thought when I seen it's name mentioned in the headline. It's as of they chose the most random game that has never been officially cancelled it's been "in development" for more than 15 years and if it ever sees the light of day you just know it will now never live up to expectations.

Surely the ram itself shouldn't be much of a factor in the overall size of the game and that comes more down to storage space and how large the file size is? Unless it's only referring to the size of what can be loaded into the immediate area in which 25% larger seems like quite a significant increase.

I think it's more that people get themselves over excited for these live streams than anything and have expectations of thing being announced that are huge all the time and they after then go online and get upset it didn't go their way. Big games and other things like hardware aren't restricted to getting announced at certain times anymore and it can happen at any point of the year. When the industry heavily relied on trade shows to make these announcements like E3 then you could usually expect something big but they don't do that anymore. Maybe I am just getting too old to care but I don't have any expectations anymore with these things as it seems getting over hyped about something that probably won't happen is a waste of energy.

Definitely has me interested probably more than anything else that was shown so I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it.

I was slightly interested when I seen the trailer but less so now maybe if it survives a few years and has a decent expanding story I'll try it but the case with many games like this is most of the story effort goes into the initial stuff and the later stuff is just generic grinding quests.

@STOBO just curious why shouldn't they report on it? Just because you didn't know it happened doesn't mean many others don't any that it hasn't be shared about too much to be kept secret. Them posting this article won't suddenly make it go away.

The Day After... it was all gone. Is a little bit suspicious that the guy has deleted any presence online too. Not sure what he was expecting after years of clearly fake trailers that promised a game that would never get made. Then when they finally release what is supposed to be early access then it is a completely different style of game that lacks most of what was promised and looks almost nothing like the early trailers. Makes you wonder in the 5 years they were developing it if they put as much effort into the game as they did making fake trailers they may have actually had something that resembled it at least visually.

I get it can be stressful making such a game on a tight deadline but it was a light hearted joke not actual criticism. Have game developers become so sensitive that they can't accept someone having a bit of fun at their expense? It doesn't have to be serious all the time.

I'll go with 31 December 2025 so still two years.

If only I had several hundred pound to spend on a gaming subscription up front rather than keep the money I do have the constant rising food prices and constantly high energy prices.

The biggest issue in a lot of this is parents link their cards in the first place to a child's account in the first place and leave them there so the child can start make impulse purchases and the touch of a button. All well and good putting these things in place but if they didn't have access to the money so easily to begin with it wouldn't be as much of an issue. Gift cards exist for a reason. Yes its not exactly good that children are constantly advertised digital stuff that unless bought then and there will be gone forever but limiting their ability to simply press by a button to buy also helps.

Honestly more shocked that Fifa 23 is still selling that much right before EA releases a new game saying that GTA5 is still selling better than most new releases too crazy when you consider its 10 years old.

@Tsushima I am pretty sure Nintendo fully owns it as even though it was in collaborations with Konami and Kojima they had nothing to do with the development and it was fully funded by Nintendo when then got Silicon Knights developing it.

@Savage_Joe You do know there will also be a third part too right? Should that also be in development for the PS4 even though it probable wont come out until 2028 at the earliest? They have made a decision to cut off developing their newest games on the last generation of hardware now the current hardware is more readily available.

The third part will be PS6 only at the amount of time it takes to develop the games now. Anyone complaining about this game not being on the PS4 are they really surprised? By the time that gets completed by around 2028 do the same people complaining about this not coming to PS4 expect the next part also to come out on it?

Since the early days of Sega doing any kinds of compilations when in comes to including any 8-bit Sonic games the have to my knowledge only ever done the Game Gear versions because there are all on that system so having them all display at the same resolution makes sense. Only 4 of the games listed were made natively for the Master System and one Sonic Blast was ported directedly from the Game Gear version in Brazil and as a result just displays a stretched full screen image not taking advantage of the higher resolution anyway.

Well since it is now pretty easy to get a PS5 they really should be focusing on that. It made sense when there was major supply issues but now that isn't really an problem. I often wonder how some games are even running on the base Xbox one when that still gets certain ports the one s versions seem bad enough. I am sure the ones actually porting them probably feel the same way as it makes their work look bad sometimes releasing a game on purposes that runs poorly.

Certain people would consider that stalking. Seems like some people have way too much time on their hands.

Seems like way too much work and effort to get a teaser for a cancelled game running.

I think my biggest nit pick is in order to earn coins from games purchased you have to actually have an active subscription and for the most part it seems that they are trying to make you buy specific games only to get any kind of rewards. Not really great at this point and launching it with no integration on consoles seems odd it's not like that haven't been working on it all for months. It's quite a disjointed experience as it is now.

@WadeIsInsane it's not a twist it's a simple and valid reason why there is no need to change it having a different meaning for some doesn't matter once the alternative meaning is explained. If it bothers people after an explanation like that then at the end of the day they just have to deal with it.

@WadeIsInsane no it's not understandable sorry the word simply has another meaning. It's not like the word is offensive in any way shape or form no matter what meaning used. So unless it was that kind of instance where it was seen as potential offense then that is the only time something should be changed. No need to change it simple because one country has a larger population so more of them could potentially be reading it.

@stvevan I know it is just something that has been in the works for a while now should have launched with a way of showing on your console.

The amount of people angry at the use of the word scheme and demanding it be changed or an explanation despite getting told a good reason for the use of the word and it not meaning anything negative is amusing. If you are given an explanation about the word and still refuse to accept it then that is on you.

On to the actual PS stars well it all seems a bit disjointed and if the only way to earn coins is by buying certain games digitally then it seems more like a way of boosting sales for games many wouldn't otherwise buy. If it was like the Nintendo system where you got coins based on anything you buy digitally I'd get it but not only a specific collection of games. Also for the amount of time they have been developing and planning it you would have thought there would be an way of tracking it on your console.

Still to this point laughing when everyone had a meltdown that these two weren't announced on every other system during the Xbox Showcase earlier this year. I'll probably pick them up next year some time though as by then I'll probably have a backlog to get through.

It a sad state of how people all over the world think it is justified to go online and say these things just because their feelings get hurt over a game or anything in popular culture. Many people feel they see owed that right simply for liking something and can't see right from wrong in that situation.

"Games" like this are just feeding into people's addictions now. When I see people bragging they have thousands of platinum trophies that they basically just spent loads on quick 5 minute games then I don't see that as an achievement but how much time and disposable cash they have. It used to be some what of a challenge I the early days of trophies and achievements in games where something like a platinum trophy meant you put time and effort in now those get burried under a mountain of shovelware.

It used to be getting platinum trophies for the most part meant something. Even if the games were relatively easy they used to have a 20 or 30 hour single player campaign to get through. Now getting more platinum trophies than others is more down to having a lot of money to be able to buy all of these cheap games and there are people who only play games like these and never anything of any kind of substance or challenge. Personally I think Sony needs to change its criteria for what is allowed to have a platinum trophy attached to it. It is also causing a huge addiction for some trying to climb leader boards simply by paying for all these games.

@Fight_Teza_Fight so because he doesn't have opinions you like he deserves his account hacked? Over wrestling too? I think you need to get some perspective if you think you not liking what someone says makes it ok to hack their account to try and scam people.

In all honesty I don't see why many people will be that interested in the games. Yes they have a great place in history and I played many in the early 80s but many have aged horribly or were just bad at the time like the majority of the Jaguar library. I can very much expect all but the most dedicated of Atari fans to play most games for five minutes and never go back to them. For me the documentary aspect is the only interesting thing about it.

@Robocod take note by waiting two years after the release to update a game everyone has long given up on? What notes are they exactly?

First time I played this was on the PS3 and as a result I get it as a download now which is at least a good thing. Will probably get around to playing it again soon.

It's fine as no matter what they do people will find something to complain about.

Wasn't expected otherwise as I knew how PS Now worked and even Gamepass is the same. I will admit trying to sort through my library of games can be confusing though as some games you claim with the monthly games don't appear under the PS Plus games but your regular library. They have needed to organise that better for years.

I platinumed SW3 last week and in all honesty if it wasn't on PS Now and now this I probably wouldn't have considered getting it as it's a bit glitchy and it is very linear and doesn't have much replay value beyond one or two playthroughs.

While I was already subscribed to PS Now before the biggest thing for me was a refresh of some of the games that were sitting there that no one played and added new ones. What i am baffled by is how many PS3 games were dropped from the old service including a load of Sony published titles probably just so they can add them back at a later date for those who had never used the service before so weren't aware they were taken away before being added back. Although the Ubisoft stuff is welcomed too as hopefully all of the Assassin's Creed and Far Cry games get added in time.

Was scrolling down thinking it wasn't much of a difference and then got to the premium list and seen how much more screwed we were getting especially with all of those Resident Evil games.

Been checking out the lists and even the list for all games doesn't seem to show everything. yesterday the first Infamous games wasn't showing anywhere but now is and I have at least spotted the the Batman return to Arkham games don't show on the complete list but do under the classics one. So the organisation really needs to be sorted out.

@Robocod those two games are the original arcade versions and not the ports to the master system

I was all for this until I heard the strictly limited release was containing games and variations of them not in the standard version. Was always a big fan of wonder boy games but don't plan on buying a stupidly expensive version for that privilege. If it mainly contained physical extras I wouldn't have a problem but this locks out one if the best games in the series in The Dragon's Trap which make the standard edition pointless to me.

@Wolfie_Pie some games don't seem to appear under their categories but if you go to browse you should see the whole combined list and its there.

Only thing that has annoyed me is the amount of PS3 games that have suddenly been dropped from streaming many of which are Sony published games like Killzone and Sly Cooper as well as many of the Sega and Konami games but they probably tried to negotiate a better deal. Saying that the PS Now list was stagnant for some time and there have been a lot of PS4 games added to make up for the losses. I'm covered until the end of November so I'll see how things go with adding new games until then but there is plenty of new stuff to keep me going until then.

I used to play this around my friends house and it was a blast although they were pretty bad at it and I ended up unlocking all of the fighters in the end for them. Pretty sure they only had me around because I was better at games than them and I could unlock stuff they couldn't now I think about it.

@Neverwild what wrong thing? I stated that people over reacted because the assumed that these games weren't coming to PlayStation because it was announced during the Xbox Showcase and wasn't instantly announced for PlayStation along side it. Nothing I have said is false information and you are over reacting to that. Thinking I am saying something I'm not.

@Neverwild it doesn't matter if people were expecting it my facts about people over reacting are straight why are you taking offence to it? Nothing I said was factual incorrect people assumed the worsts because they weren't told right away. So not sure why you have an issue with what I said.

All the people yesterday who were acting angry because these two games weren't announced for the PS5 yesterday during the Xbox Showcase. Why would they announce it then? When I seen some people acting like they were personally betrayed and Atlus had abandoned Sony. Some people need to get a grip and not jump to conclusions.

@Akurusu it comes down to the mindset that some people feel they have to defend their purchase so much they get angry when people say anything bad about it or when they don't get the games they want. It's worse when you consider many of these people are adults that act this way. Gaming has developed into tribalism for some people and it makes them get irrationally angry at the silliest of things.

While I think it's good to have subscription services as a way to play a wide variety of games I don't think it should be a service used to only expect all the latest releases from all publishers. There seems to be a growing number of people that seem entitled to have every game as part of these services so they never have to pay full price for new games ever. The Xbox showcase today didn't exactly scream must subscribe to me but for others it might have done. I personally don't care if a game comes out day one as I don't always have the time to invest in every big release right away anyway and have used both PS Now and gamepasss as ways to play games I usually wouldn't play or buy myself. Relying solely on them though I could never do and think Sony is wise not to put all their games on day one.

Some people are acting like this is the end of the world because two games were announced on Xbox and have yet to be announced on PlayStation. Very high chance the games will come out at some point weather its these versions of even possibly the PS2 versions. They were hardly going to announce if other systems were getting the games during an Xbox showcase were they.

This is going to be one of those games that sells because it will be an easy platinum as I can't see anyone actually buying it for any other reason. It barely based as an interactive CD back in the day calling it a game is generous.

I would imagine it's down to simply how popular jrpgs are there and not having a solid selection would be blasphemous not to have some like these. While it would be nice for those of us who like these kinds of games it may not happen in the early days because many are still considered niche in the west.
