@Sarcasmatwork I was about to say the same thing. Im playing on pro for a couple hours at a time and I haven't seen any of these issues. I agree the game is fun.

I have been really enjoying the game. Much better story than three and the humour has been toned down a bit. Definitely worth a purchase

I have been playing on the Pro and other than stuttering on the cutscenes I haven't noticed any issues. Its dumb borderlands fun, which is what I wanted !

Is there no Malkavian class? One of the best reasons to replay the original was the malkavian dialog and choices.

Wouldn't be a Bethesda game if it wasn't a buggy mess at launch. That said I'm still loving the game and only notice the occasional stutter.

@LikelySatan fair point, I was really commenting based on some of the silly things I had read over the last 24 hours than Sammy's article. Like the editor of windows Central warning Microsoft that this is the danger of using others ecosystems to sell your games. And the abject rage of some of the gaming press! The team at push square do tend to be a bit more reasoned.

@breakneck agreed Sony being this Gens big winner does have people down on them, but they also don't help themselves in these circumstances. I just think that it would have been easy for Sony's PR in a situation like this to have posted occasional update messages showing that they are aware of the issue and are working on the fix. Or updates like, we know it's taking longer than anticipated but are working hard to get this resolved. In a service based industry some form of communication with your customers is better than nothing, especially in a disaster recovery situation, like a global network outage. But in the grand scheme of things one day is just a minor inconvenience to us gamers.

The levels of catastrophic journalism on the outage has been laughable. Things like banks have gone down in the UK, meta has had issues in the past and Microsoft have had issues. These thing will occasionally happen. The issue to highlight here is that Sony needs to have a better PR and community communication. Based on gaming journalism you would think it was the end times. I still managed to played kingdom come and went out to watch the rugby so managed a fun weekend.

I'm a big fan of the Civ series. But I'm happy to wait 12 month for the various patched and dlc to be released and get a complete edition.

Its diffucult to believe the graph without understanding where this 150m comes from. Was it watched live by 150m? Is it the total views across all channels on youtube etc? Does this include partial views? Is this 150m separate people, how many are repeat views?

That said it still impressive. The main game awards stream is standing at 13m views currently. And its good that my hobby is growing.

Its a shame that people want to hate on something based of a trailer that didnt give much away. The only thing i was potentially disappointed about was that for a game called intergalactic it is apparently set on only one planet. So i cant fly around in my space porsche.

It's just easier to skip the show and watch the trailers the day after on youtube. That way I can watch the two holy ***** bits and skip the few other hours of insufferable self aggrandising bollocks

Helldivers 2 should make the list. But as always the show will promise hype and not deliver much.

It definitely needs optimization. I switched to quality mode and enjoyed it more. My main gripe was the english speaking palicos, had to turn that off!! All in i enjoyed it and looking forward to the main game.

A bit of Monster Hunter wilds and some Helldivers 2. Holding off on Horizon until the Pro arrives.

@LiamCroft Do you know if the PC stream you were playing was similar quality to what we should expect on PS5, or was it maxed out PC specs?

This game is giving off mixed signals and I want to like it, but its not having that must buy vibe. Forced stealth sections with instant failure feels so lazy. Its an action game why not give us options, go in guns blazing, stealth, or maybe as a scoundrel the option to con, bribe and fast talk our way in. Hopefully we will get to see more positives over the next few weeks.

It will sell well because its star wars and also because these isnt much else releasing in its window. Its ubisoft so it will be the epitome of playing it safe, so we will get a good, but not great last gen game. I will grab it in a sale when its reasonably priced.

Hardcore pvp survival, where you can lose all your progress by being ganked for water or not playing long enough weekly to get a shield wall. Someing tells me im not the traget audience. Shame as the game trailers were looking cool.

Also am I the only one who rolls their eyes when a game dev or journalist talks about verticality as if that a thing i should be excited by.

Im looking forward to a monster hunter game with giant robot monsters. Remind me of Zoids from back in the day. Looking at the cancelled games i do wonder if Sony is restructuring away from the Live service push.

You think it would be common sense, what does your consumer want. But its moved to how can we nickel and dime the consumer. Games like baldurs gate and Helldivers should be the norm not the exception.

Its a great game, gives me old shcool left 4 dead vibes. Lots of depth with the loadouts and needing a good strategy for the higher difficulties. Gaming done right!

@UltimateOtaku91 i guess suicide squad had a larger budget and therefore has to sell more copies to be a financial success. Its current steam engagement is in the low thousands, so it my struggle long term.

The original article quotes 3 people close to the deal, which could be 3 microsoft employees for all we know. It also states that concessions will be reqired for the deal to be approved. Which is probably what Sony want at this stage.
