Well this will be my first year to spend playing my new PS5 that i got myself for Christmas so here's hoping the games released in 2023 will validate my purchase. It's time they knocked it off with the last gen ports and started making games that actually push the hardware.

There must be stock improvements if I've got one finally! I have been searching since launch day with no success until i discovered an app called hotstock. It alerts you whenever any store online gets them available. I got a ping on my phone within days of downloading the app and now I'm the proud owner of a PS5! It cost me over 600 dollars but hey it beats those scalper prices on ebay!

Seriously everyone try that app! Just download it from the play store, set up your account and wait. It's totally free!

Yeah we've pretty much reached the point where everyone's visuals are about the same. I do notice more brightness and realism in the fire or water effects in Demons souls but honestly that remake could have been done on PS4 easily. I guess we should all stop worrying about who's got the best graphics. The point is mute these days.

Yeah everybody keeps talking about this huge graphical leap but I'm not seeing it. All I'm seeing is PS4.5 I got Demons souls and it looks pretty good but nothing else is really looking so eye popping. If this is next gen so far I'm not impressed. What's PS6 gonna be like a PS5 pro?

Hopefully we can get some actual PS5 games instead of more last gen ports and remasters. I just got a PS5 finally but as for finding worthwhile exclusives it hasn't been easy.

Is Cyberpunk finally in good enough condition to enjoy on PS5? I'm asking cause i finally got my hands on one (thank goodness) and i hear the PS4 version was a hot mess. If it's in acceptable condition now might be the time to give it a go.

It's been longer since Injustice 2 than MK 11 hasn't it? I'm betting Injustice 3 is what he's eluding to. Though we did just pass MK's anniversary and they didn't have a new game in time to celebrate. Not even a compilation or re-release of any kind.

I'm hoping for more varied locations and more meat on the bones. At times fallen order felt like a prototype or demo and alot of the areas were too Samey looking. Plus the outfits were rather dull.

I'd rather just play the game. If i wanted to watch a show about an apocalyptic scenario involving zombies, walkers or whatever I've already got plenty of similar movies or shows available. I guess it'll be great for people with no interest in videogames. At least they get to experience the story without pressing pesky buttons.

That actually sounds like a good idea to me! I for one thought lords of shadow was pretty good and if I'm not mistaken isn't that to date the best selling castlevania of all time? They must have did something right. I don't get the hate with that game and I've been a castlevania fan since the beginning.

I say do it! Castlevania desperately needs a comeback and I'd be totally up for it in the style of the recent God of war games. Just Imagine how awesome that could be if done well.

That's cool! Yeah this is definitely my kind of game! No convoluted plot or 70+ hours of fetch quests. Just Killin vampires and kicking ass in the old west!

The perfect game to play after getting all the recent heavy hitters outta the way! Sure it's nothing special but from dusk till dawn the videogame looks pretty fun to me! I'll probably wait for a price drop but yeah I'd totally play this at some point!

Still think it should have been called Star wars: Sith:Risen Chaos. 😉

Anyway here's hoping for more varied locations and possibly a playable sith character or maybe an optional thing where you could be a Jedi or a Sith.

I've always kinda had a liking to things that are considered dark or macabre. The original legacy of kain from what I've played seems like a gory version of zelda. It even has similar style overhead dungeons and spells/magic abilities. The narration is pretty cool too. Great voice work overall. I'd really like to finish it some day if i can just put aside my modern games for some good old retro goodness!

More readily available? On what planet exactly? I've been to every store I'm my area and still have yet to walk into a store and see one sitting on the shelf. No wonder people are losing interest. You can't get one unless you buy from some creepy guy in a trench coat hanging out in a dark alley.

I've always wanted to try these games but never really got around to it. I played the original PS1 game for a couple hours and kinda got sidetracked and never went back to it. I really think i should at some point before I'm dust.

If PS5s are still impossible to find in stores and only available under special circumstances then how the hell else are you supposed to play it? Of course I'll be playing it on PS4! It's not like graphically it's all that different on PS5 anyway. It's the equivalent of playing a game that was on PS2 and GameCube back in the day. Not a hell of alot of difference.

I'm wondering how much of this is a beat for beat remake. The differences aren't nearly as staggering as with RE 2 and 3 remakes compared to their originals.

Okay so i just logged into my Sony account and i beat the game back at launch. Is that literally all i need to do?

A RE4 remake does sound pretty unnecessary honestly. If we're going to fix what ain't broke i guess good luck with that. I suppose next they'll wanna fix what is broke since RE 5 and 6 are largely considered the worst screw ups in the series history. Heck they are three generations ago so why not? RE 5 strips the horror completely and RE 6 I'm not really sure why it's so hated. I had a decent time with it. At least Leon isn't super buff and punching boulders.

Really? Okay that's not where i would expect to find them. On Amazon they are still 7 or 800 dollars. I thought the suggested retail price was 500 or close to that. One way or the other I'm hoping to find one by Christmas. Even if i have to buy from some scalper online. I'm sick of this seemingly Neverending search.

Yeah probably. I've been hearing that it's a third person mode for the entirety of RE village but you'll never see Ethans face. Honestly i kinda hope RE 9 either gives you both first and third person modes out of the box or just goes back to only third person. It was a neat idea in RE VII and not as awful as I'd feared but i still prefer it the original way.

I'll download it just for the chance to play in third person. I've actually never finished the main game yet but this year for Halloween I'm getting it done finally! Now i wonder if a third person mode would be possible in RE VII?

Okay so it's the 30th anniversary. Where's our 30th Anniversary compilation? Imagine all the games from at least 1 to 7 in glorious HD remastered versions! You could also have a modern compilation with IX, X and 11!

Yeah remember when Disney wanted to release a new star wars movie every year from 2015 onwards? How did that go? Less is more.

Now we got an endless stream of shows but the movies are pretty much at a stand still.

Why the hell would anyone care about resident evil updates on switch when they just wanna keep pumping out these idiotic cloud versions?

It has to be better than those Cornball movies that have next to nothing to do with the games. The actors playing the popular characters in those look nothing like them and the made up ones are even worse. Like who the hell is Alice anyway? Awful movies. The first was sorta okay and i kind of enjoyed the second but after that a total crap fest.

I still need to play RE village. I never got around to it yet.

I haven't seen that one yet but one time i did go through the entire 2003 series. It took several months and by the end i think i was all turtled out. I liked how that one was supposed to be closer to the comics. Shredder was more menacing and not a bumbling buffoon and the turtles didn't eat pizza which was very strange to me. I know that was just a thing in the cartoon to make it more kid Friendly. I actually once owned the very first issue of the comic. No idea what happened to it though. I bet these days it would be worth a good amount of money.

This is how you do a TMMT revival! Now why couldn't they have done something like this back when Turtles in time reshelled came out on PSN instead of the abortion we got?

On a side note would anyone think I'm going too far with the nostalgia if i suddenly got the urge to buy a box set of the classic 90's animated show? I am in my 40's after all LOL!

Let me know when they start making PS5s cause if they were still making them I'd be able to find one in the store for the average retail price. That thing has been out well over a year and it's like it doesn't even exist.

I still haven't finished the first game. I better get on that. I have this thing with open world games where i get about halfway through the story missions and get bored or distracted and end up playing something else. That happen to anyone else?

It's a great system to play despite it's age! Some games are still damn impressive and don't at all look outdated. To think this thing launched at $599 initially and there was a time I thought I'd never afford one. Now you can probably pick one up for what 70 dollars or less?

Just imagine, one day PS5's will be dirt cheap. Of course we'll all be old geezers by then but what a glorious day that will be!

I'm definitely not the biggest fan. I feel like i have to like them if I wanna be a gamer like it's a requirement but i really only like a few. FF VI and VII are the only two i actually enjoy. The series is just way too complicated and convoluted for me to understand i guess.

Chrono trigger and Mario RPG are more to my liking. Also a big Zelda fan!

Doesn't everybody? Ask any FF fan or heck gamer in general. Odds are the game is up there on the list of their favorite games.

So at first they were saying reviews weren't exactly great and now it's suddenly a big hit? Yeah thanks but I'll just play the games. I'm not going to encourage Hollywood to keep cranking out more movies based on videogames because 9 times outta 10 they are still garbage.

Oh my God who the hell cares? We didn't ask for a movie or show of Last of US and we sure as hell didn't need Uncharted the movie. Ugh!

I'll be getting it on PS4 anyway cause I can't find a damn PS5. I still haven't seen one in stores. I'm not even sure they exist.

Feels like forever ago that they released that cinematic trailer. All I remember is it looked bad and had foul language. Oh well some games just weren't meant to be.
