I hear they actually have a setting in mk mythologies that fixes the crappy turn around button. Love that they thought enough to fix it. That sold me. Plus it's the best era of MK period.

I am one of the few who actually played it to completion. I got good at the combos from having mastered subzero in mk 3. Even figured out his fatality. Fujin was a real cheap pain in the ass though and that dumb rock monster or the big dude with the saw blade. I remember having to look at a strategy guide to figure out the final boss.

I guess being a big subzero fan helped me push on through despite the game having horrendous difficulty and stupid cheap instant deaths. In the 90s I was totally obsessed with MK. I even used to draw the characters.

How many people who didn't care about Halo even ever bought an xbox? Seriously name 5 system sellers on any Xbox that wasn't Halo. I'll wait.

With that nobody needs an xbox anymore. Oh well I always thought it was silly having three main home consoles on the market at the same time.

I'll take a boring story over a bloated 70+ hour open world nonsense game. It's Ninja gaiden. What great story has there ever been in this series? Typical Ninja on a Revenge to avenge his clan quest. 🥱

I watched some gameplay and honestly switching between controlling both characters during combat looked complicated and cumbersome. I hope I'm wrong. Not completely sold on this yet but it's definitely on my radar.

Yeah but it's not really physical unless it's all on disc. Hope it is but considering the size i doubt it.

While you wait there's this Halloween/Evil dead 2D sidescroller that came out a while ago.

Didn't get one until after PS2 came out. I was always a Nintendo guy and yeah by the time N64 came along all my supposed friends were teasing me. Saying nintendo was for babies and PS1 was better because of games on disc, FMV cutscenes and mature games like resident evil. I don't know if games were better because of being on disc or FMVs but I soon learned the mature game selection was far better than anything I'd seen on nintendo by that point. The PS1 opened my eyes to what I was missing. I still love Nintendo but now I'm also quite fond of Playstation. Just call me the Nintenstation guy!

Yeah i was just giving those framerate nuts a wink. I think another reason people weren't talking about framerate then is the obvious reason, alot of us were kids. We didn't know any better. Me personally i was just so fascinated by videogames i didn't care how they worked. I was just amazed at what i was experiencing and in awe of whatever sorcery was going on. I was having too much fun to care if mario moved at a consistent framerate.

Framerate heh! In my day we had 16-bit and you didn't hear us complaining! You kids with your terraflops and your Ray Tracing. 😉

How does this run better on the base PS5 than the pro? Are we living in backwards land or something? Like seriously WTF?

I know right? PS2 is so old now it's practically retro but it was a beast of a console for it's time. So many amazing games! I was in awe the first time MGS 3 released. Now I'm like wow did i really think those graphics couldn't be topped but here we are!

This game was stunning on PS2. Hard to believe it's been that long ago. I dont remember ever seeing anything quite as visually impressive on the system. It was way ahead of it's time. Still holds up today even but now it looks insane on PS5!

Funny how Sony tries to end their shop and such a ferocious backlash happened that they let it linger on. Nintendo ends the Wii and Wii U shops and nobody cared or Nintendo wouldn't have backed down no matter what.

Now granted losing the Wii U shop wasn't that big a loss but Wii had a damn fine retro selection! It's a real shame what switch is doing these days. No VC just a forced subscription with a Gaming Netflix type
service and no option to buy the games.

Oh well I'm sure modders will figure out how to add whatever games they want through some hack or whatever. They did it for Wii and Wii U.

Well guess i won't be getting this on switch 2. 🙁

Yeah Real Shame how konami gave Kojima the shaft all those years ago. Been recently playing death stranding so i could at least try something he had a hand in lately. I thought I'd hate the game honestly cause it sounded boring but strangely i find myself intrigued. Still gonna play the MGS3 remake but it'll be hard not thinking about how Kojima deserved better than what he got.

I've often wondered if game developers actually play their games. I mean sure during the testing faze I'm sure they do but i mean actually playing through the whole thing before it goes out to market. Is it like actors who don't enjoy watching their own movies?

When i first played this and got to the part where you control Abby all i kept thinking was when the hell do i get to play as Ellie again? It drags on for way too long with a character that right off the bat they made me hate. I nearly lost all interest in finishing. If that's the order they wanted me to experience it they really messed up. I don't wanna just start the game only to get disgusted early on by Playing as a horrible character.

Luckily i pushed on through but the longer it dragged on with Abby the less interested i was.

Still weird hearing people call PS4 a retro console. Hell PS3 still seems modern to me. I have a backlog of unfinished games even now.

I think you guys are really hoping for a switch 2 version aren't ya 😉

Feeling a little threatened there Sony? Your system is old and busted. Switch 2 is the new hotness! Also would people stop calling Switch a handheld already? Yeah it has that but it can just as well be a home console. People act like it's a gameboy or something.

People complain now but wait until PS6 comes out. New games will be over 100 dollars on average. When i didn't wanna blow my wad buying games I'd just wait. Wait for the new to wear off. Very rarely do i ever feel the need to own a game on day one anymore.

I always wanted to find a really good spongebob game but there's alot of them probably not worth touching. I need suggestions for the best ones i should be looking for.

Still need to give the original a propper playthrough but so many great games are still in my backlog. For the love of god let me get caught up! I'm still trying to finish PS4 games.

Probably because not many people wanna shell out for a series X to play this one game that at one point was exclusive and now it's not. People were already rolling with PS5 and now they can play this game without giving a rats ass about a system they didn't want in the first place.

Face it. As far as exclusives what have they got on xbox to bogart except maybe Halo and gears of war? Microsoft needs to stick to PC gaming and leave the consoles to Sony and Nintendo. Been saying this for years. Three home systems aren't necessary. If you love Microsoft so much and are super hard core into graphics and power why are you playing on consoles anyway? Stick to that PC master race.

I can see why the certain thing didn't happen yet in the show. You start with that like in the game and you kinda sour people's taste for the rest of it. Surely it'll happen eventually though unless they wussed out for fear of pissing off a whole new group of people who never played the game. Guess we can assume there won't be another season after this. The games are done so after season 2 the show might as well be too.

I've been collecting videogames that were on discs since they first Started putting them on discs and not one of them have rotted to the point of no longer working. What are you guys doing storing them out of their cases in a moldy basement or something?

That initial price of 599 made owning the PS3 impossible for me for a number of years but eventually i was able to buy one. It ultimately became one of my absolute favorite systems! I played more games on it than PS4 or PS5.

Mine is still hooked up and gets played at least every other day even now.

God forbid someone might enjoy a game that's story focused and Linear. Ah the good old days! It was a simpler time back then. Games didn't have to be played for months on end.

Can't wait for the reviews in Ninja gaiden 4. Oh sure it'll look good and play just fine but if it's not open world it'll no doubt show it's age. 🤦‍♂️

Hoping for something fun like additional costumes instead of just fixes. It would be nice if they'd give the same remake treatment to the whole Trilogy but I'll take what i can get. Awesome seeing Ninja gaiden 2 looking this good! Can't freaking wait for Ninja gaiden 4!

I wonder how limited supplies may be on playasia? I already bought the digital version before i found out i could get it physically and I'd feel silly paying another 50 dollars to get it on disc right away. I love the game but paying for it twice on the same paycheck seems excessive. Think I'd be fine waiting until another payday?

Rocksteady basically committed suicide with this game. Maybe I'll like Gotham knights better. I just picked up a used copy so I'll see if that's less nauseating.

I've always stood by Nintendo since day one but they really do need to step it up a notch. I'm tired of wondering if the next AAA third party game will even run in any kind of acceptable way on their hardware. I know the switch successor won't be comparable to PS5 so we can get that outta our heads right off the bat. Could it be up to at least PS4 pro? Maybe but still doubtfull. Not gonna get my hopes up.

Wise man say, keep your expectations low and you'll never be disappointed.

You wanna impress me someone come up with an N64 emulator that runs any game flawlessly and doesn't require a high end PC to run in any acceptable fashion.

So what? Aren't 35 characters enough? The game is already starting to feel like old news at this point. I'd gladly be ready to move on to whatevers next. Injustice 3 perhaps or maybe a fighter fully dedicated to guest characters so they don't have to flood the roster of MK with them?

I'm so tired of eagerly awaiting more dlc characters only to find out that they'll be from something other than the Mortal kombat series. What's next Terrifier, chucky, Buffy the vampire slayer?

Well it seems alot of the issues that people were whining about at launch have been or are being worked on. Can everyone stop crying now? At least they are making an effort to make it more enjoyable.

Your nostalgia goggles are showing. The original AC is one of the most bland repetitive boring pieces of crap ever made in the open world genre. It sucked then and it sucks now. It only gets a pass because it created the series in the first place. Then they made AC 2 as an apology for making such a turd sandwich initially.

It's the first ever star wars open world game guys. It may not be perfect but there will likely be others and there's always room for improvement. Remember the first Assassins creed? Yeah that one got hyped to all hell and it sucked.
