No seriously, who cares?

90% of all my physical games are bought online where the real competitive pricing occurs. The only option on the high street these days is Game, and they’ve been pretty tragic for the last few years with relatively zero competition. Their prices aren’t competitive with online stores and so they get less business.

There’s still a market for physical games. I know I buy more than ever at the moment as a collector so I hope it keeps going until at least the end of the current generation.

Is this game online required?

The fake try hard gamer dialog in the Helldivers section put me right off it.

Hyped for FF Rebirth though.

Wow. Isn’t the game industry fun! So glad we all spend hours trying to decrypt corporate contracts and mergers than we do playing games! It’s all about as fun as the average Ubisoft game so I guess it’s appropriate after all.

Never bothered with the original as I assumed it would be miserable to play through like all their other games.

Last CoD I played was the last Modern Warfare 3. Though the best thing about this whole thing is that we’re one step closer to the dream of having both Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 both be a thing.

I am very curious to know how much power is used by 10 million PS5 downloading a 100gb game on new release day. I imagine it’s significant.

@naruball I need to prove that gaming has an impact on the environment now? Wasn’t that your argument? I was agreeing with you. I was just making the point that you can’t separate one from the other.

@Wheatly Not that recent considering it covers the period before 2020 before the skew to 80% digital purchases that happened after the pandemic.

@naruball You can’t make an argument that digital is superior to physical because of the environmental damage of one is greater than the other. The impact is equal and if you truly care that much, you would need to stop gaming all together. The PS5 chugs energy, especially when downloading a 100gb game.

@Shepherd_Tallon No, Sony’s good exclusives have resulted in Microsoft buying previously third party games to be exclusive. If it Xbox made their own quality games, it wouldn’t be an issue.

And Sony have had all the Yakuza games on PS+ Extra and Persona 5 was available for free for plus members in ps5 for ages. It means nothing.

I love me some artsy indies, but this looked dull as hell and I honestly forgot it was even out.

Sorry to hear people lost their jobs but when so many games are fighting for attention, you need to really stand out.

If Crash 4 came out 10 years ago, this would have been a multiplayer mode on the main menu that you would play for about an hour then move onto to something else.

This game seems gross like all Activision/Blizzard’s other whale hunts. I won’t support it.

@PegasusActual93 wish people would stop spreading this misconception. The number of games on PS that actually do this is very small. The vast majority of games will install and run off the disc.

I’ll use the 50 quid on two indie games that actually managed to get disc releases then.
