@nessisonett your comment makes little sense. Sony has sold the subsidiary of the original company they bought in 2019. This subsidiary did deal with online gambling - not the core business of the parent company. What would you have preferred? Sony to double down and introduce loot boxes to GOW2 and future games instead?

I did enjoy Days Gone (played it at a silky 60fps on PS5). It was a little rough around the edges. I am stoked that Sony Bend will get another chance at a similar game. Hopefuly they can smartly repurpose the Days Gone Horde tech in to their new game.

@RBMango Agree 100%. Why would MS not keep it exclusive with the billions they spent acquiring Bethesda. Competition is good, keeps corporations honest and consumer 'friendly'.

@Tchunga Why would you watch the videos beforehand? Most people would use to help beat difficult sections/bosses right.

Played a bit of Demon's Souls on PS3 and found videos hugely helpful.

I'll likely not buy any of the launch games. Will of course give Astro and Bugsnax a go. But I have a bunch of games from PS4 to still play + PS Plus Collection games. Which will scream on the PS4. I will also pick up the PS4 edition of Cyberpunk to play on the PS5 on launch.

@Bingbongboyo You should be able to add it to your library, at the least via the psn on the web store, if not the PS4 store.

I'm excited for this game. Watch Dogs 2 was one of my favourite games of the generation. It was pure open world fun.

@Unlucky13 Totally fair comment. However, I'd counter by saying that PS3s and PS2s are cheap as heck. At least in NZ here. I can imagine in the UK or US they're cheaper still.

It's definitely a disappointment that Bethesda games likely won't come to PS5. However, any of those are probably 2 years minimum away. I think the landscape in terms of pricing could change in that period. We may also be on the verge of the 'pro' or 'slim' versions of each of the new consoles.

@Unlucky13 You keep your old consoles. Pretty simple.

@Medic_Alert I would have thought Microsoft would have been using their own Azure infrastructure, which has the ability to auto-scale up and down with demand. Clearly there's a problem there. A pretty poor advertisement for their own cloud technology.

@DonJorginho Many ppl have suggested Capcom could be a good buy for Sony! I'd agree. But this is a mega buy for Microsoft. Crazy price but some sweet future titles with guaranteed exclusivity I'd say.

I imagine a tear-down video (along the lines of the PS4 Tear-down), plus more separate videos will follow over the next few weeks detailing the UI.

That's pretty interesting. I wouldn't have thought the chip itself would have been too dissimilar to the Series X. Haven't heard of them having any issues.

Optical audio has been a 'legacy' type of connection for many years now. At least 10 I'd say. As others have pointed out, HDMI has been the way to go and supported by the majority of devices for some time. If you're out of ports on your home theatre receiver, or have an optical headset, sure that kinda sucks. But you can buy the adapter.

@Unlucky13 I don't get this attitude, at all. So you have heaps of old games, don't you still have your old consoles? They won't evaporate as soon as you pick up a PS5. I also have all the old gen's of consoles. I re-bought a PS1 and PS2 (crazy cheap) and have lots of physical games. If I won't to play them I simply plug them in to a TV.

@Chaoticwhizz You're right, this is exactly what PS Now is for! I think most sane ppl are sick of the faux internet outrage at developments like this. It's derived to create clicks for websites and views for youtube gaming commentators.
