Watch Dogs Legion will launch first on the PlayStation 4 later this month, and then it’ll be available as a free PS4-to-PS5 upgrade on Sony’s next-gen console a little later in the year. But the Ubisoft open world’s roadmap doesn’t end there, as the French firm has pulled back the curtain on its enormous post-release plans.

First and foremost, from 3rd December, the game will get a gigantic online update for free. This will allow you to enjoy the entire sandbox in four-player co-op, where you’ll be able to take on new missions and participate in fresh dynamic events. Fan-favourites like Invasion will also return, allowing you to hack into other players’ games – and there’ll even be deathmatch Spider-Bot Arena battles.

Then, as previously announced, Season Pass owners will unlock an entirely new storyline named Watch Dogs: Bloodline. This will feature Aiden Pearce from the original Watch Dogs, as well as Wrench from Watch Dogs 2. There’ll also be two new characters, including an Assassin’s Creed crossover, which effectively ties the two franchises together.

The publisher won’t be stopping there, however. It’ll be adding new playable character-types, missions, and features to the title at a later date – including New Game Plus. To be fair, Ubisoft’s post-release support is always spectacular, but it’s good to know that it’s committed to expanding on its futuristic interpretation of London way beyond launch.
