If I get time away from celebrating the Jubilee weekend I'll just be finishing Ratchet and Clank Nexus. My PS3 backlog will finally be clear and can start playing my PS4 games on my PS5.
Enjoyed the last one on bit SP and MP until Warzone took over. Hope they've learned their lessons and not eventually require multiple TB patches to add fluff to Warzone.
Like a weird mix of Tomb Raider and Resident Evil.
On the whole though I do miss the older games but I'm sure my nostalgia clouds the reality of how difficult, awkward and time consuming these games would be if I went back to them today.
I imagine the control scheme and camera would be the true monster in Nightmare Creatures for example.
No the Necromorph gets picked up by the Valor, the chaos this one necromorph causes makes the Valor crash into the Ishimura (which as you say then probably allows more Necs to board).
I took issue and always have whenever I played it after that the one Necromorph gets aboard and causes that much damage. Fair enough element of surprise and all that but surely not enough to send it into the Ishimura due to what I presume a dead crew.
@Floki Nah not the Ishimura. About halfway through the game a military vessel (USS Kelion I think) reacts to a distress beacon you send out with Hammond.
Unfortunately it picks up an escape pod you jettisoned earlier containing a Necromorph which promptly kills all the soldiers on board.
The GP model is ruining Xbox exclusives. Sony have a stronger library and one of the reasons is they're not releasing million dollar games onto Day One release platforms which you can get for a fiver a month.
Having entered this series only recently (played Silent Assassin in February and onto Absolution now) I can say hand on heart say it's a great series and I'm looking forward to getting around to the latest trilogy.
I have found Absolution to be decent but find its difficulty inconsistent and suffers with spikes now and again. Also find the story a bit out there.
Think the last FIFA I played was FIFA 05 so yeah I'll give this one a whirl. Trophies are quite out of reach I imagine but yeah a decent month all in all I think
Hitman Absolution. Enjoying it but find the difficulty spikes just come out of nowhere and you really get punished for not having the right disguise from a previous mission.
I managed to get one the other day through PS Direct so I'm very lucky. Unfortunately scalpers (and the people who buy from them) are just making a bad situation worse.
I also think companies could be doing more to help consumers who want one.
In the end though these are just effects of the much greater cause which is the semi conductor shortage. There was an interesting talk I saw the other day and the war in Ukraine has caused Russia to withhold a special type of gas which fuels the chip making process so this has made the shortage worse.
Scalpers wouldn't be an issue if idiots didn't buy off them.
Also, retailers whether in-store or online could easily correct the issue by only issuing one console to one account for a set time period. They could even add extra features like only one PS5 can be shipped to the same address for a time period. Unfortunately for the consumer the retailers don't care because they're making money whether the buyer is legit or a scalper.
1&2 were great. I hope they redo the 3rd game but without EA interference. Having recently played through it I can say it's a disaster. Especially when you hear about the plans Visceral initially had for it and an open world game for the 4th one.
It's dark times when those offerings make up the modern day State of Play.
Not awful looking games and I'm sure I'll play some of them even but come on. Sony you could have had:
Dino Crisis Reboot
Re4 Remake
Max Payne Remake
Resistance Remake
Killzone Reboot/Sequel
New and Exclusive SP FPS titles
New and Exclusive Action/Adventure/Fantasy (to replace the loss of Elder Scrolls)
I thought I would just take advantage of an open chat forum to give my two cents on the subject and that I was disappointed with this month's offering.

All over this on release. Let's stomp some umies!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 428
@lolwhatno Yeah I picked it up in a sale. Really enjoyable.
Never heard of Flat Heroes but will check it out. Thanks for the recommendation.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 428
Fury Unleashed local co-op with my brother, a very addictive side scroller.
Apart from the, finishing off R&C: Crack in Time then move onto Into the Nexus.
Re: Sony Confirms Horizon, God of War, and Gran Turismo TV Shows in Development
@get2sammyb I imagine a fair few episodes will be set in caves and talking around a fire to cut down budgets on the bigger robots.
Re: Sony Confirms Horizon, God of War, and Gran Turismo TV Shows in Development
@Atreus97 Agreed as he was the voice but I imagine having to paint him white would cause some outrage amongst the Twitter mob.

Re: Tomb Raider, Deus Ex Remakes and Remasters Could Come to PS5, PS4
I'd be happy enough with a remaster of Tomb Raider Anniversary it was a great game. A remake of 2&3 would be cool as I never actually finished them.

Unfortunately Microsoft has that in spades.
Sony will just need to rely on the quality of its games shining through to survive and grow.

Re: Dead Space Remake Welcomes You Back to the USG Ishimura in January 2023
Lmao I'm way off.
USM Valor was the military ship.

That's what I was referring to.
Re: Dead Space Remake Welcomes You Back to the USG Ishimura in January 2023
I hope they make the fact that one necromorph taking out an entire military vessel gets rewritten. The one thing that held the story back.

Re: PS Store Extended Play Sale Flogs Pricey PS5, PS4 Ultimate Editions
@Dudditz09 I'd be playing it on the PS5 so hopefully that sorts out any load times. I'll give it a go, only a tenner.
Re: PS Store Extended Play Sale Flogs Pricey PS5, PS4 Ultimate Editions
Would anyone rate XCOM 2 even if I haven't played the first one?
Hell of a discount on it.
Re: Shoot Hitler in the Balls and Unlock a Sniper Elite 5 Trophy
According to the song he only had one anyway.
Re: Rumour: BioWare May Have Just Confirmed the Return of Commander Shepard in the New Mass Effect
I think we can all agree Shepard is awesome but as others have said, are writers and companies incapable of making new characters anymore?
You could import your save from the Legendary edition and have the deeds of Shepard written into the new history.
He saved the galaxy, let they guy rest.

@SystemAddict Lucky you 😄
Re: PS5 Stock Issues Could Last Into 2024 as Chip Shortages Continue
The longer this goes on the luckier I consider myself to have gotten one.
This will get sorted eventually I have no doubt but short to medium term looks bleak.

Blood Money is the best for me so far!

6/15. Once again Push Square have looked through my gaming history and avoided any questions on it at all costs!!! 😡

Re: Poll: What Do You Expect from Retro PlayStation Games on PS5, PS4?
What I want is access to a huge library of classic games, updated visuals and trophy support.
What we'll get will fall way short of that mark I fear.
Hope I'm wrong though.
Re: Talking Point: What PS Plus Games for PS5, PS4 in May 2022 Do You Want?
Deathloop or GoT on PS5 I think.

Re: Test Your PlayStation General Knowledge - Issue 7
4/15. Worst effort yet. Haven't played most of those to be fair though
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 422
Hitman Absolution. Not my favourite entry but only on level 4. Not sure how I feel about them giving him a linear story like this
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 421
Hitman: Blood Money. Should wrap the trophies up and then onto Absolution
Re: Video: How to Change PS5 Cover Plates
How to change PS5 cover plates:
Step 1) Get your eyes taken out by a scalper and buy a PS5
Re: Uni Degrees Delayed as Two Point Campus Is Pushed Back to August
I imagine a degree in this game is about as much use as one from the real world.
Re: The First Summer Gaming Showcase Has Been Announced
@Rob_230 I was going to say that. THQ Nordic bought the rights to it some years ago.
A remastered trilogy and a 4th one would be a license to print money.
Re: Test Your PlayStation General Knowledge - Issue 6
8/15. As usual, mainly guess work.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 419
Hitman: Blood Money. The most complex one I've played so far but enjoying it.
Also trying to survive as the Odrysian Kingdom on Rome 2 Hard difficulty.
