Today is 26th September, otherwise known as The Last of Us Day — an annual celebration of Naughty Dog's series.
To mark the occasion this year, Sony has added The Last of Us: Part II (PS4) and The Last of Us: Part II Remastered (PS5) to PS Plus Extra's game catalogue. They're both available to download now.
The Last of Us Day falls on the same date as the cordyceps infection's mass outbreak in the original game, kicking off the bleak post-disaster world we explore in both titles.
In previous years, Naughty Dog has provided fans with new merchandise and other promotional stuff, though we've yet to see any of that this year; the sequel's arrival on PS Plus seems to be the main attraction this time.

Many fans will have already played The Last of Us: Part II, of course, but putting the sequel on PS Plus Extra will expose it to yet more potential fans, which makes sense after the HBO series' second season arrived earlier in the year.
It might also be worth revisiting if you haven't played in a while, as Naughty Dog added a chronological mode, allowing you to play the story in a whole different way, and has made other updates and improvements over the years.
