Atomic Heart PS5 PS4

The crazy-looking FPS from studio Mundfish Atomic Heart has today re-confirmed it'll release during the winter season and has picked up a publisher. Focus Entertainment will be helping the Russian team put the game out on PS5 and PS4, best known for story-focused games like A Plague Tale: Requiem.

The wording from the blog post revealing the news suggests we won't be playing the FPS until early 2023, however. "Initially planned for 2022, the hectic and explosive Action-RPG is set to release this winter," it reads. Mundfish will be announcing a release date "shortly" as the studio turns its attention to polishing the experience and delivering "a game of the highest quality".

Chief business development officer at Focus Entertainment Julien Ramette said it's an honour to work with a team with such creative minds. "The AAA standards they’ve provided for their first game is truly an accomplishment. Atomic Heart is sure to honor all players in search of an original, new generation experience." Most recently, the game looked as mad as ever in a Gamescom 2022 trailer, which you can view through the link.
