Woof, nothing for me this month. I'll echo the comments that Premium actually got the goods this month.

I kind of assume they'll make Original Sin 3, now with their new notoriety.

I don't think bigger is better alway for this series. I got really burnt out on the franchise after beating 2 and haven't managed to get into one since Like a Dragon, recently. I really enjoy the new direction, but I'm hopeful they don't beat this direction into ground like they did Kiryu's titles.

The PS5 has been good so far but I still think we're waiting for its signature games. Returnal is the only first party game I've loved so far. My next favorite game belongs to Microsoft, in Deathloop.

I'm not disappointed in the console at all, but I don't think it's a slam dunk still.

What excites me about this is them saying they essentially want to make it more of a Remedy game than it was going to. I read this as weirder than we originally planned.

Why wouldn't I want a story-focused co-op game from these people?

Only if my current PS5 dies.

Based on the comments about the demo maybe I shouldn't want to play this.

I think it looks kind of quaint, but in a fun way. This looks like a game I'll snag for $30 next summer.

Only AitD I've played was Inferno on PS3. Game was a hot mess but I really admired what they attempted to do. It was certainly memorable.

OK, let's tease your theory out that "most" PS4 owners have upgraded to PS5. There have been 117.2 million PS4 sales according to Google and 40 million PS5 sales. I don't think approximately 1/3 equals most.

My gut reaction is no, but when you consider how long it's been in development and how much it hypothetically has cost to make... well, it seems more and more likely.

I honestly don't care since I'm not a fan of the series.

Zelda, BG3, AW2, Mario, Spider-Man, SF6.

I think BG3 will win, or AW2. I think they both have the narrative. Zelda being great wasn't some surprise.

I guess after saying I had only had minor issues I was due. Just had the game crash in the middle of the third boss battle...

Still love the game, but ugh...

I've had a couple small bugs, like a clue staying on my screen after collecting it, plus there's a bunch of little flickering in the environment, which I don't think is intentional?

Nothing has ruined my experience at all, but definitely some small stuff that could be cleaned up.

Ugh, let's move on from GoW.

I backed Shenmue 3 and when I finally played it I was astonished how dated it felt. Just moving your character around the world felt like a chore. I played for a couple hours and quit. I'll try and finally play through it next year, but I was just so bummed they didn't update the feel of the series in any meaningful way. Leave all of the weird charm of Shenmue, just give me solid, modern controls!

On topic, I have no interest in a prequel. And frankly, I don't know if I have any interest in another sequel if it doesn't get with the times and cover more ground in the story.

Nothing for me here. Not necessarily "bad" games, but not in my wheel house at all.

Killing me, I want Sodom as a new character In all seriousness, this is a more interesting Pass, so I may play a bit more to get some of these cosmetics.

Max Payne 3 was OK, but I really hated that Rockstar removed the comic panel narrative sequences. Hopefully Remedy doesn't replace all of them in the remakes, but I could see them doing so with live action, which could be a cool alternative.

I'm very excited about the studio's future. I hope AW2 is a commercial hit for them, much like Control was. They've always been a fantastic studio and I'm glad they're getting some well earned acclaim.

I'm sad for the layoffs, but I have basically no interest in Marathon or Destiny, so the delays aren't anything to me.

Yah, Remedy has already announced a sequel to Control, so I'd assume that's their next game.

I'm jazzed about Night Springs DLC. If it's truly an anthology style story in Alan Wake that is pretty neat. Let me play as Rose or Pat Maine

Started Alan Wake 2 last night and it is predictably excellent. I love how they've really tied all of the mechanics and Lore items into the gameplay and narrative.

Remedy for life.

Sitting on my hard drive. Likely jumping in tonight, unless I show some modicum of restraint and finish Control DLC first.

Pre-ordered this months ago. I drink Remedy's Kool-aid and I had a great feeling about this. I've basically watched nothing and read nothing other than a couple of reviews. I also replayed AW1 this past week and am doing the Control DLC finally.

Basically, I am beyond hype.

It looks shiny, but this just makes me think this is a 2025 game.

I'm interested in both this and the remake. I tried SS2 once when I was younger and it was terrifying. I gave up pretty quickly.

I don't think Sony can afford Take 2, and there's no way regulators would allow them to buy it AND make GTA PlayStation exclusive.

I'm not sure there's another entity that "moves the needle" like buying Activision Blizzard.

Shoot, also been meaning to play The Quarry. Oh well, I'll get my Halloween fix with my back to back Alan Wake playthroughs.

Yah, I was going to say this looks like an enhanced version of VF4: Evo's Quest mode, which is my favorite single player fg mode ever.

I'll also second all the comments about the art direction though. Maybe let people play as Chibi Tekken characters instead?

@Fuzzymonkeyfunk I haven't but I was planning on it. I actually downloaded the Ultimate Edition thinking I could import my PS4 data but since that's not the case I'll have to dig up my PS4 Control disc.

I actually tried playing them a year or so back and I was getting wrecked! I had totally forgot how to play and was being destroyed.

Got it pre-ordered and replaying Remastered in advance. I'm pretty hype, but honestly this has been a year I've been hyped a few times already (SF6, Sea of Stars, Baldur's Gate).

Seems wild to hold off on buying due to free DLC. Remedy has never shipped an incomplete game.

I'm plaything through Alan Wake Remastered in preparation for Alan Wake II. Might try and finally play the Control DLC in between.

I've always thought it was coming since the PS4 version never got a PS5 performance patch, to my knowledge. Add on the success of the show and the brand obviously being as big as it's been.

I'm not interested though. The PS4 game already looks stunning and better than most native current gen games. I've got to get back to my Platinum run sometime though

I'll play it next year on sale. The first two are quality games but I was done with both long before I actually finished playing them.

Given Insomniac's track record I don't expect 2 to be particularly innovative and I'm also assuming they dropped MJ missions, which I actually really enjoyed - I know I'm in the minority on this one.

Big fan of the first two games, so I'm happy to see the series continue.

I got a beta key for Hyenas and tbh when it was announced I was vaguely interested, but when it came time to install it I just couldn't muster any enthusiasm for anogher MP shooter.

I think it's wild they cut bait on it prior to release, but it's probably the wisest move - as mentioned they'd still have to invest in it once it went live.

I think my biggest concern is whether this was in fact one of their "super games". There had been rumors they were working on live service Crazy Taxi and/or Jet Set Radio games, and frankly I think both of those games could be interesting in that space, IF handled appropriately - certainly no given since Sega doesn't have a single studio with live service chops.

I want to know what the game consists of outside of combat, if anything.

I never finished Strikers, but I imagine I'll grab this game sometime next year.

This sucks if accurate, and if it's mainly due to Bungie's assessment, ugh. Destiny is what it is, but I don't think Bungie necessarily has the live service secret sauce. Destiny is more or iless mpenetrable now, and that's how I feel having played the og for a bit.

2 games I was curious about that I would never have bought. This is exactly what I want out of Plus.

Returnal is the best PS5 game. Glad there are other Atropos fans on here.

I'll probably finish up Unpacking. I think it's a beautiful little game, not without issues, but I'm really enjoying it. If I have more time I may play some Solar Ash, which I finally bought on sale last week. It hasn't totally grabbed me yet but Heart Machine is a favorite so I'm going to keep playing.

I enjoyed the first one but frankly barely touched 2. I thought it came out too quickly and wasn't really different enough to me.

I'll watch the SF6 update after the fact. Excited for AKI's release coming up soon.

My friend bought this and I'm sort of curious about it, but the aesthetic doesn't grab me.

I haven't been able to get into a Yakuza game since finishing 2. I played a fair amount of 3 and started Zero but always lose interest. Maybe I'll give Like a Dragon a shot.

I love Bluey. Honestly, my wife and I enjoy it more than our son.

I'm down for a Bluey video game, but I'm not sure this is the one. It looks really rudimentary?
