must be tough for a site like push square to have to ignore the information coming out of this hack. There are some VERY newsworthy revelations in there. Some of it I really wish Sony would just be more open about and share publically anyway, regarding sales numbers etc.

can't really relate to the concern about spoilers. I never play games day 1, so effectively every game is 100% "spoiled" by time I get to it.

I really dislike roguelite/roguelikes unfortunatey, so I wish that there was no story content here, so that I could safely ignore it

Wow guess my tastes are quite different than most on this site. A roguelike add-on for God of War would be right at the bottom of my list

Interesting that this is coming to playstation, considering it was originally published by Xbox Game Studios.

@Shinnok789 yeah this is actually disappointing to me, because it has actual postgame story content, which I want, but in a roguelite mode, which I have no desire to play.

It was a nice movie trailer, but I don't really anticipate games until I see some gameplay, and that's going to be what? a year from now?

@dskatter It may sound silly, but when you lose a benefit, of any kind, it hurts company morale. Not so much because of the benefits themselves, but because it leads to the fear of "what's next?"

I guess this is a good option for some, but to me it makes leveling feel completely pointless. One of the most satisfying things in an RPG is to go back to an early area with all your endgame godlike powers and just obliterate everything.

Not that I like the price increase, but it's kind of funny to see everyone expecting the service to improve in some way because of it. When the price of a banana goes up at the grocery store, do you march to the front and demand to know how this banana will be better than the one you bought last week?

GameMill is right up there with Tokyo RPG Factory for bad game company names.

I guess all aspects of the game need to be considered when giving a review score, but if the single player is great, but the coop sucks, then I guess a 7 or 8 would be the appropriate score for a single player only gamer?

Everyone who keeps expecting Sony to offer something more to "justify" the price increase, it's not going to happen. If you think you're no longer getting enough for your money, cancel your subscription. Simple as that

It's one of those games that I find amusing for a few minutes and then inevitably regret my purchase.

With all of these game showcases, I care about only two things. New game reveals and gameplay reveals. So from that perspective, the Nintendo show was a whole lot better. Once I know I'm interested in a game, I definitely don't need 10 more trailers for it.

I'm curious which part of the headline you found confusing. It reads pretty straightforward for me.

I have felt all along that even if Call of Duty is not exclusive to Xbox, launching day one on gamepass will be almost as impactful. If there's one thing out there that could provide a huge boost to a subscription service and move some people away from PS, it's COD.

Unless I missed it, I can't help but notice that this site did not report on the Jim Ryan email where he talked about being "more than OK" in regards to Call of Duty, if the ActiBlizz purchase went through

The commenters of this site seem to be pretty down on this game for some reason. I see nothing but glowing praise everywhere else.

I'm a multi-console owner, so no I wouldn't be upset. But you would think they would be leaving a lot of money on the table making a JRPG Xbox-exclusive.

The really unfortunate part of this is that we are likely to see only one big game from each developer per console generation now. (Unless you're Insomniac) And if one of these games happen to flop... it could mean the end of the studio

Yeah that is the weird thing. There is a Series S/X version, but no PS5. Maybe some kind of exclusive deal with Microsoft?

Would have been a fairly solid show if it was one of Geoff Keighley's, but as a playstation showcase... you have to show some actual playstation-specific things.

This trailer basically represented everything that I was afraid of with Sony's push for live service games. Extremely generic looking

The concern about story leaks is always kind of amusing to me. I don't buy anything day 1, so every game I play has 100% leaked before I get to it, and it has never impacted my enjoyment.

I've seen lots of people on Reddit and elsewhere declare that the lower specs of the Series S in no way will hold games back. This statement from Larian seems to be another indication that this is not true.

I come to this site specifically because of the personality and opinion that is injected into every post. I hope this never changes. There are plenty of other places where someone can read copy and pasted press releases.

@Rmg0731 Right but Sony has been bending over backwards to show how devastating it would be to lose Call of Duty etc. I can't imagine that all these reports of how well they're doing will help their case

Where'd you get that idea? It was sitting at a 69/100 average on opencritic the first day that reviews started coming in, not exactly glowing

You're right of course that the Mass Effect example was far worse. This almost feels weirder though, in that the first Octopath was ported to Xbox but not to PS

It's so odd that they're just not going to release the first game on playstation. Reminds me of Mass Effect 3 releasing on the wii u despite the previous two never coming to a Nintendo system.

@KaijuKaiser some pretty decent games have come out: Sword and Fairy, Xuan Yuan Sword, F.I.S.T

It's a very 7/10 kind of game, that's for sure. Enjoyable combat and story, but the open world felt almost completely unnecessary

I guess it really depends on what you've played. Most of these games are all quite old and I've played many of them. Gamepass on the other hand is consistently giving out very new games like High on Life, Chained Echoes, Plague Tale, and now Monster Hunter Rise
