Armored Core brings back so many good memories and has been solid since I was playing the original in 1998 on PS1. It is a series which I have always considered a must play. Back then it was released months before Europe in Japan and it was hyped up amongst school friends from various gaming magazine previews. Considering the majority of us did not have access to dial up internet at home it was still highly anticipated and did not disappoint
I'd agree premium content is lacking and I only have it because it was a cheap upgrade and I was unaware that my renewal fee had dropped out till I checked. I cant understand why they don't drop in hundreds of the PS1 and PS2 games we are crying out for. I would stay longer for better content.
Not sure if it was mentioned already but the Music featured in the Teaser by Hank Williams was used in the gamescon trailer from 2013. What a nice touch 👏.
Both great games that compliment each other well especially since the remake. Ive just completed the remake and it is quite simply stunning and really worth visiting again even at full price. I thought the Story for Part 2 is still brilliant but when comparing it to Part 1 it does try too hard to be radical and overly Brutal. It's has a kind of complex way of subverting expectations and emotions which is definalty too much for some players to enjoy and the Pariah ending is heavy.
I think Sony is adopting Apple marketing in that more expensive white and shiney devices are more sought after. It works in the UK unfortunately. I will guess at £180/200USD minimum.
Lets have some context with previous consoles prices in the UK.
Megadrive in 1990 was 189.99 = £379.41 in 2021 SNES in 1991 was 199.99 = £371.47 in 2021 3DO in 1993 was 599.95 = £1042.73 in 2021 PS1 in 1995 was 299.99 = £498.07 in 2021 Sega Saturn in 1995 was £399.99 = £664.10 in 2021 N64 in 1997 was £250 = £397.97 in 2021
(All research based on the bank of England inflation Calculator averaging 2.0% per year.)
Now with current console prices in mind is a 10% increase justified? Will other manufacturers conform and raise prices?
One of the few Games I'll buy before the years out. Hopefully the ones making the noise aren't too offended by what I spend a small amount of my hard earned money on other than Mortgage/Energy/council tax/car/insurance/diesel and so on!
@Texan_Survivor I consider this a way of them getting to grips with new hardware and next gen graphics. New engine and I.P could be years in development hell. If They want a killer app back on the market this is a sensible approach.

If you can Check out the digital foundry comparison. Its brings to light that alot of people seem to be comparing the pre-rendered cutscenes from the remaster with actual In game engine from the remake. I am Looking forward to this more than ever. Perhaps the premium price is high but I appreciate the work put in and its a good introduction for ND to cut their teeth with the new hardware before going in guns blazing with bigger projects like LOU3 or a new unchartered.

When mine crashes I just remove the Cartridge give the circuit a quick blow and slam it back in... Joking aside I've expierienced many common faults on many generations of Hardware over the years, playing PSone upside down to correct a laser issue, xbox 360 RROD, PS3 blue ray issues to name a few. I am interested to see were this could go as I just expect HW to fail from time to time but reading that people have had mixed responses from Sony with regards to getting a fix or a replacement console I can only agree with it if it leads to a positive change.
Im going to watch but with low expectations. I got to episode 4 of the Halo series before being bored off so lets see how far I get with this. Fingers crossed.

Some people are getting way too deep into this issue. If you dont want it dont buy it. Why not have issue with the devs of games like COD and Fifa/madden. They Churn out the same rubbish every 10-12 months just with a re- arranged menu with different colours and an updated database and still charge full price year upon year. At least ND are passionate about bringing TLOU to us in the best possible way. Upon release it will be the 3rd time I have visted the game and I am excited and all it will cost is the equivalent of just over 2/3 of a tank of Diesel! Bargain?
@Northern_munkey By the same standard as demon souls this is the first REMAKE of THIS game. Why do people not understand the difference between a remaster and REMAKE. Demon souls was charged a premium price just as the dev will do with this. They have been REMAKING games for decades as technology advances its not like its suddenly just appeared. I cant wait to play this game again and I am dissappointed to hear many on here are very vocal about this is not what we want please do not speak for me. If you dont want it move on. The term cash grab is such a loose term to throw around. Isnt anything sold for a profit a cash grab by the very definition?
So just a quick scan through latest ps5 upcoming releases on PS and 70 GBP is the new paying rate for a game at launch. Why the backlash against this particular game??

70 quid to play as bad ass Joel again! Bargain! Surprisingly for some, It's the Ellie winter gameplay that I'm mostly looking forward to in the new engine. I thought the snow environments in TLOU2 were excellent.
I really don't understand the backlash. It's a REMAKE of a great game therefore it is full price. I didn't see a similar backlash at the remake of Demon Souls (great btw). If you don't like the price your not forced to buy it upon release. How many times does a Dev have to say its a REMAKE not a remaster? I know in person some of the 'cry babies' that don't like the launch price but are happy to buy COD and FIFA year after year at full price for the same mind numbing multilayer game launched months before!
