Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard

@Rural-Bandit i dont think gamers get it, yet... gamepasses and all digital.. this WILL ruin gaming. it'll turn it into disposable hobby. like mobile gaming. try this game, dont like it, try another. micros inserted every where. ads maybe in the future? NFTs, etc. the woke agenda in gaming was the first hint that gamers have no control over gaming.

Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard

Pixelated

@naruball but isnt a monopoly where ONE person/entity/corporation controls something, including publishing, creation, etc? yes, i count this as a monopoly at this point. buying billion dollar publishers that have multiple devs under-wing... i'd call that a huge monopoly!

Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard

Pixelated

hmm.. maybe a good response from sony could be..... since they invented "bluray" and xbox has a bluray drive, sony could raise the tech licensing fee to a point that M$ would be paying out the nose directly to sony hahaha. then sony could take that money and buy devs and publishers. im joking, but.. that'd be hilarious.

Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard

Pixelated

@munstre correct.. anti consumer... desperation move. they want control, have since i read an article stating so about 20 years back. gamers dont see, this is not good. even if sony did it. i've told friends for a few years now, get away from using windows, get away from xbox. most just shrug. now we're in the phase of "they're buying everything up!" i bet a lot of my friends get nervous and go straight to xbox and gamepass now. i bet they will.. they think being on the fake winning team is how u salvage your beloved hobby. no... it isnt.

Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard

Pixelated

@Ashina this could be a boon for sony, as sony can get more 1st party devs to come onboard. thats the main draw to playstation - the 1st party games. xbox has the same 3 games: halo, gears, forza. they're trying to buy popularity at this point and its not good for gaming as a whole.

Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard

Pixelated

@Claimedhealer2199 no... many people wouldnt approve if sony did this, either. i wouldnt approve. its not "salt" its genuine concern... ONE filthy rich company buying up gaming is NOT good and has sinister implications. but gamers are like "derrr i have gamepass, im ok!" and they dont realize that all digital will indeed ruin gaming eventually because u wont own your games any more. one company buying up everything is a bad sign... and yes, this is indeed monopolistic practice - they're buying up gigantic billion dollar devs. not tiny indies.. but large game-staple devs and publishers, even. it isnt 1 or 2 games, its swaths of games, published under 1 big corporation, that M$ is now buying, meaning they'll get the devs, the publisher, all of it.

xbox has been losing since E3 2013 and now they wanna buy the industry.

Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard

Pixelated

@3Above this opens the doors for indie devs, is how i see it. im playing the PS5 monthly free game, Deep Rock Galactic, and i personally love it, its now on my GOTY list for 2022, no joke. it's an indie game basically and it takes such simple ideas and does them right. i'd like to see MORE indie games of this caliber. i've shifted my focus to single player, co op and indie games lately. im gettin away from AAA unfinished buggy rushed trash.

Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard

Pixelated

@naruball lol acquire EA? EA doesnt even want EA! lol! if sony bought EA, they'd have to clean house big time within EA. i dont think sony has to respond by spending billions to acquire a few devs. sony can just bounce the ball slightly different and come out on top. look at the measures M$ is taking to control the whole of gaming.. and it still isnt working. i dont think i'd want sony using the same monopolistic tactics as M$.

Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard

Pixelated

@Col_McCafferty i dunno.. sales are dropping for CoD and Battlefield due to "woke" in their games now. lot of small time indie devs are cashing in as they bring new ideas and games to the table. just because M$ has a ton of money doesnt mean they can buy ALL of gaming up, and even if they did, it doesnt mean gaming would even stick around long at that point. lot of people would stop gaming or switch to other platforms, i.e. nintendo, pc, retro gaming, mobile gaming.

Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard

Pixelated

@DrClayman i heard a rumor about this - about gamepass coming to playstation and i dunno if it was a joke article i read or a serious one, but gamepass would ruin gaming. all digital means we wouldnt own our games any more. but sony is trying to create their own 3-tier service similar to gamepass right now, actually. so it looks like they're gonna duke it out in that arena.

Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard

Pixelated

@WallyWest exactly.. nintendo did this in the late 80s, for being a monopoly, went to court. buying up the gaming landscape isnt how you "win" - but sony could turn this around if they're smart about it. i wonder if the sony execs are in a boardroom right now, at a long table, with a huge whiteboard, discussing this as we speak.

Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard

Pixelated

@AinsleyE @AinsleyE my thoughts as well.. many friends i know say the same. we'd quit gaming if they buy it all up. also, it's all going woke, and this will get worse and will NOT change. steam will follow suit. pc gaming is an all digital dungeon now anyway. i wont ever game on pc again, too toxic, too many cheaters. i'd probably just play retro games again and fiddle around with nintendo's weak platform until gaming finally collapses. because ONE company buying up everything is NOT good.. and people are leaving comments here joking about it.. they have no idea their hobby is in dire straits right now.

Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard

Pixelated

lol i knew this was coming. i read an article YEARS ago, 20 years maybe, where MS said they wanted a type of set top box to rule the living room for movies, games, tv. they tried it with the xbox one in 2013 but got in huge doo doo for FORCING people to have the kinect camera always-on, including the microphone. also, no used games were to be allowed. this changed fast as players took to the internet to rightfully complain. MS lost 33% of their user base to PS4 at the time, including myself. i wont buy windows or xbox ever again since 2013. i use PS5, Switch and Linux now. i vote with my wallet and when a dev or company does this garbage? they get nary a dime from me EVER again.

MS buying devs and publishers doesnt surprise me, i was waiting on this to happen. im sick of CoD and the woke crap in it now, misrepresenting historic wars. battlefield? same thing. i quit'em both a few years back. blizzard is woke garbage now, too. M$ can have'em. dont care. MS obviously cant get any decent devs in-house 1st party to make games OTHER than halo, forza and gears of war. so this step was natural. the 100 yard dash runner was losing every race, so, he bought the stadium and is trying to shorten his lane he runs in to the finish line. that's how i see this move by MS.

i told friends a few years back MS was gonna try to buy up the industry and then force orwellian camera/mics on people again probably one day in order to play online, as they also pushed all-digital control of our games via gamepass. it all leads down a bad road. i wouldnt have condoned this move even if SONY did it, or nintendo.

this now opens a spot at the table for sony to play their cards any way they want. the PS5 is already getting better texture/framerate results in many games compared to Series X. sony can now simply start grabbin up-n-coming indie devs and super-tweak their upcoming 3-tier service they have coming similar to gamepass. ok, fine, MS has fallout and CoD. now, sony can hire devs to create NEW games or even similar, superior games. this isnt a door closing on playstation... its several windows, no pun intended, opening.

Sorry for the long reply, but i was waiting on this news for a while now. Not wanting it to happen, just waiting for it to be announced one day and here it is, if it's true. I recall ninendo in the late 80s being in trouble and being called a monopoly for their business practices... makes me wonder if that could be the case here, too.

Re: Days Gone Director Pitched an Open World Resistance Game

Pixelated

when are we gonna get a dev that wants to make a freakin TERMINATOR pvp game?! i've been wanting this for over a decade! human resistance VS terminators.. with vehicles and your usual game modes.. capture the flag (or time displacement equipment [TDE] in the case of the terminator lore), domination, team DM, etc etc. i'd love to run around as a terminator endoskeleton!

Re: Dying Light 2 Dev Promises a Whopping 5 Years of Updates and DLC After Release

Pixelated

5 years? lol dang... that tells me no "dying light 3" to come out in new gen, huh? in 5 years we'll almost be seeing PS6! i stayed with the "left 4 dead" series for 5 years, but ps4 came out, i switched over. i would have still played L4D, too, if they remastered it and put it on playstation, but they never did and never will im sure. as for dying light 2 in this regard... it'd have to have some kinda.. super fun... extra mode(s) to play that were HIGHLY replayable, co op, new maps every few months, etc.. for me to stay invested in Dying Light 2 for 5 years (or throw in a sandbox level maker ala Far Cry 5 style). unless the DLC are actual campaign co op map additions where they unlock new parts of town or new towns entirely, countryside, old run down military bases, etc.. i couldnt see myself stickin around 5 years in this game... i couldnt even stay invested in a Far Cry game for over 5 days let alone 5 years lol!

i'd be happy with a solo and co op campaign, 3-4 players preferably, 1440p or higher res, 60 frames. i'd be fine! dying light is a game i run thru once, maybe twice, then im done forever. 5 years?! they better impress the crap outta me with DLC.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Realistically Expect from PS5, PS4's Game Pass Inspired PS Plus Reboot?

Pixelated

im hearing we'll get access to ps now titles, all of them, as more get included.. plus rumor of ps1 and ps2 and ps3 titles to starting incoming as well as PSP titles. dunno. i always said, why doesnt sony just lump in ps now with ps plus, and charge 80-100 bucks a year? the 3 tier thing.. they need to sway from, i think. just offer 1 subscription, not 3.

as for nintendo, i rarely touch my switch and the only reason i pay for the online service is because its $20 per year and you get nes and snes games. for a higher offering of i think $50 a year, you get n64 games as well. $50 a year to play retro games is LOL to me. u cant even voice chat on the switch without a stupid phone app. what games do they have to play online co op? that arent 720p blurry messes? $50 a year is just hilariously stupid.

offer me ps now, ps1, ps2, ps3, psp games on the PS5 and i'll throw $100 a year at it. but! i wanna see many games get some kind of frame rate upgrade. im not playing blurry ps2 and ps3 games at 30 frames!

Re: Reaction: Can We Chill Out About Sony's Commitment to PS4, Please?

Pixelated

well of course they're making more PS4 units. people still buy them, but i figure the scalping BS with the PS5 and people not being able to get a PS5 is what is still driving ps4 (pro) sales.

retailers on AND offline could remedy the scalping problem easily.. they just dont want to. but with a failing economy, many cant afford a PS5 now even if the things were actually on store shelves, today. but this also leaves the idiot scalpers sitting in their mommys basements with stacks of PS5 units they arent selling any where near as fast as a year ago.

maybe people think, well, if sony is still making ps4... this will hold them back from making/promoting ps5-only games and games that span both consoles will hold the ps5 versions back. which HAS been the case in the past. sony needs to simply allow devs who want to only make ps4 games, to make them, and allow devs who only want to make ps5 games to make them.

keep in mind over 100 million ppl still have and use PS4. i also still contend that the ps4 pro, which about 2x more powerful than the standard ps4, never really got any "ps4 pro only" games and thusly we didnt see any really graphically amazing titles on the pro and we could have if devs were allowed to make ps4 pro-only titles. it was held back by the standard ps4. sure, spiderman looked good, and a handful of others, but i mean a little bit beyond that.

Re: Poll: How Long Should Games Be?

Pixelated

too many long games wear me out. assassins creed is a good example. i tend to spend way too much time doing ALL side quests first, finding all collectibles.. THEN i go main missions. which wears me out, i need to switch it up lol.

if its an open world game? 30-40 hours. if its a building game like minecraft or ark or the like? i like unlimited replay or at least a game worth goin for all the trophies even after i beat it.

racing games with career modes i like 15 hours and then i'd like to try other modes it may have.

rpg i like to get a max of 50 hours unless its, for example, huge open world like Fallout 76, then i like to see at least 200 hours.

platformers like ratchet & clank or mario games on my switch.. i like to see 20 hours.

horror games feel right at around 15 hours but i'll take a long 25 hour game if it has good replay value for trophies. or if its a replayable/dynamic game like Dead by Daylight, i'll sink 100 hours over several months slowly and be done.

FPS action games, with no extra modes like horde or co op? 20 hours.

indie games like Deep Rock Galactic, i wanna see, depending on if it has building elements or infinite leveling or 'seasons' - i like to see 100 or so hours.

casual games like Two Point Hospital, though it gets hard pretty quick, i like 20 hours.

i think 20-30 hours is my sweet spot.

Re: Rumour: The Last of Us Remake Almost Complete, Out This Year

Pixelated

wow @ people calling joel "violent man" - lol y'all are screwy. i smell lefty rhetoric.

anyway, a remake wasnt even needed. i keep thinking, well, a REmake means they've remade half or most of the game, redesigned levels, maybe characters. u saw what they did to TLOU2 and the woke crap they put in to ruin that game. are they gonna ruin part 1 that way now? thats my suspicion. how can u remake TLOU1? it was great the way it was and the level design was the star of the show for me.

a remaster means its getting a res and/or texture bump up. so this being a remake, may be with totally different characters. instead of joel it may be someone else. they arent saying or showing anything on it so far. worries me lol.

Re: PS Plus' Deep Rock Galactic Has So Much Day One PS5, PS4 DLC

Pixelated

so far, the game is surprisingly good. i cant "join" other players, maybe their servers are too crowded, i dunno. but i was playing solo and its fun. a little bot is given to you to help you dig and fight if you play solo. its a little bit like minecraft in the fact you dig, yes, but only whats necessary. digging thru any old wall will just have u go on and on. you have to follow the rules. brown dirt walls are where u are supposed to dig thru to the next cave chamber. pretty simple. if you waste a lot of time, swarms of monsters/aliens/bugs will come after you that you can fight off.

if you like minecraft, or terraria, or older games like todd's adventure in slime world.. you should like this. you get 4 classes of dwarf to pick from, each with their own unique weapons and tools. leveling up IS slow, however. the "dlc" so far is just cosmetic crap i'll never buy. the game isnt hindered in any way if you dont buy any "dlc" and u arent bothered or nagged TO buy anything.

i bet co op with 4 ppl total will be fun. the menu system is slightly over whelming at first but i got used to it in an hour. i mean the various computers at your spaceship base where u buy or upgrade stuff (the space base is like borderlands 3, big confusing ship to run around). it pays to explore caves and get every last bit of ore or go for the bonus objective, like taking out a buncha enemies. its a good time waster game if you've got nothing else to do and have 30-60 mins to blow thru a cave. some caves are huge, some are small. one cave looked like graphics from No Mans Sky. another cave had enemies that reminded me of Metroid and had a weird metroid-ish vibe, i liked it. the music, at least some of it, has a brooding low tone very reminiscent of john carpenter music. has a good ominous 80s-ish synth thing goin on with some of the music.

i like it. i can see room to expand in a part 2. i can see base building and vehicle driving mini-driller machines to go even deeper.

Re: Rumour: Looks Like Death Stranding Director's Cut Is Leaping to PC Soon

Pixelated

i had buddies rave about this game, so i tried it. graphics are nice. but i dunno about the invisible enemies... thats a lot like MGS5 and it annoyed me there. i dont mind enemies and hazards, but invisible? come on! i only played the game 10 hours or less and couldnt get into it. i think i see what people like about it, but maybe another time i will give it a chance. its a very weird game. different. while different is good, sometimes TOO different is... a turn off for many. i dunno if the game has any ruined cities to traverse thru, but if not, it needs some. some top-side NPCs wouldnt hurt, either, like survivors or scavengers. i guess thats what a part 2 is for.

Re: Best PS5 SSD 2022: Boost Your PS5 Storage Capacity

Pixelated

i bought the western digital sn850 1tb back before the system patch released to allow us to install it. i installed it day of the patch drop. works fine. mark cerny himself recommended it in a video, i dunno if he was paid to endorse it, but seeing as how he's one of the ps5 architects, i went with what he said he uses. however, the cheapy heatsink i had to order separate had the lil thermal pads, as usual, but were oddly shaped and tiny and just weird to apply. thats what i get for buying cheap lol.

but so far works great, and the sn850 1tb i bought was rated at 7500 if i recall for the data transfer rate, which is above the 5500 of the internal ps5 storage speed. i seem to get a handful of seconds faster load/copy time on this sn850, too. as for the 4tb m.2 chips going for $800? LOL total rip off. they should MSRP at about $250 max, maybe 350 depending on brand name, in my opinion. i use the 1tb sn850 as my main game store/play drive, and the ps5's internal storage i use as extra backup space. i also have an external western digital blue ps4 drive i store ps4 games on to play from, i also store ps5 games on it and its a 4tb and was like $120. im set. 600gb internal as backup, 1tb sn850 as my main, 4tb external storage. havent had an issue. hope we see some great lookin games in 2022 that utilize full ps5 power and m.2 drive speeds and i hope the ps5 goes on a good 8 years before next gen.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - New Year Edition

Pixelated

i have a big backlog... i need to finish valhalla, far cry 6 bored me, minecraft has that new caves update, back 4 blood has kept me busy since october, need to finish jedi fallen order as well as sackboy and ratchet & clank. lot of retro games to play, on ps5 and on actual console. still wanna dig into the gta trilogy but not in the state it's in. cyberpunk, another game i barely touched because its so unfinished (they refuse to fix the broken cop a.i. and also there arent any cars hardly driving around in the city which is simply stupid and immersion breaking until they release the proper ps5 patch to fix all this). i was playing the survival game Conan again and.... it now has quality mode and performance mode. performance mode runs and looks WORSE lol! i cant play a game at 30 frames or less any more. just cant, aggravating.

really isnt anything "wow" for me coming out until february maybe.

Re: Game of the Year: #4 - Hitman 3

Pixelated

i like the hitman series because i like stealth. hitman is kinda like hide-n-seek, but in plain sight. i still dont feel good about the huge open world maps where you take out different targets on the same map over and over. i tried to see the appeal but cant. i prefer the smaller-level, more-linear hitman games. absolution, which so many say they didnt like, well i liked it. the levels were large, but linear, i didnt have to walk all over the place just to set something up just to, hopefully, pull off my plan and get a challenge completed. it feels like more work than i want in a hitman game.

but, out of the 3 open world games, part 3 is the one i like most, as i like the locations much better. wish they'd do a sandbox style level creator where we take "rooms" and kinda lego-snap them together, letting us make our own actual levels.

Re: There's Definitely a New Ghostbusters Game on the Way

wait... Illfonic is making it?! hmm.. that can go either good... or bad. the debacle with the F13 license.. and predator was a free game a while back on ps4 and i tried it. it was... bleh? there's a chainsaw massacre asymmetrical game comin, i forget if illfonic is doing it. if they do ghostbusters i hope they do the license justice. lemme guess.. they'll eventually do a nightmare on elm street game in the dream warrior fashion lol.

@InsertUsername yah i know it was on ps3, but i didnt have a ps3 so i mentioned the 360 version i had.

Re: There's Definitely a New Ghostbusters Game on the Way

Pixelated

a ghostbusters game, today, with current gen hardware, would be fantastic. imagine 4k 60 frames, hdr, ray tracing for realistic haunting shadows and lighting.

i hope it doesnt go "woke" - i wont buy it. the last ghostbusters game on xbox 360 years ago got a "remaster" on ps4. but it was really just a res bump at best. still a great game though, i remember ramis and akroyd supposedly saying that game was technically "part 3" of the movie series.

dont acknowledge that last ghostbusters movie with the female cast. it doesnt exist in actual fans' minds lol. but i hope the new game is just our 4 ghostbusters back again but with way better graphics and a 4 player online co op this time. not some goofy overhead view.. but a full-on 3rd person view game like the last one from a decade or so back.

imagine ghostbusters but "asymmetrical" like Evolve or Left 4 Dead or Dead by Daylight. where other players get to play as the monsters/ghosts!

Re: The PS Vita Is Now 10 Years Old

i never had a psp or vita. but the vita is the best lookin handheld i've seen. i have a nintendo 2DS XL because i didnt care for 3D gimmick and i wanted the large XL screen but i dont play it and havent in years. still have metroid and zelda games to finish on it lol. i have a switch as well but never play it out of docked mode really. but i'd try a handheld again if sony popped out a vita 2.

Re: Mini Review: Serious Sam 4 (PS5) - Mental Breakdown

Pixelated

i actually agree with the review. SS1 and 2 were cartoony, fun, catchy music, really fun in co op. part 3 went a bit more realistic in the grafx department and i liked it. part 3 also had the best sound track, it completely fit the game. part 4? music is... meh. location? meh. forests and vatican city or something. any ruins? any pyramids? nope! maybe in dlc? who knows. but the locations were a let down. the music was forgettable. the grafx in ss4 are indeed better than ss3. but the shoddy frame rate... just bleh. i played in quality mode AND performance. difference? quality adds a tid bit more grass and better shadows. thats it. performance has the better frames but not by much. i think the game runs in 4k, and they need to give the option to run in 1440p or at least something less than 4k, that'd help clear up the frames im sure.

i went to their reddit page, the game dev, told'em the frames were bad. also, there's a way to MAKE a co op game, but no way to JOIN one! what?! its like they forgot to even add "join game" or ability to search for games currently playing online. ss3 has a browser built in so u can see co op games running, but ss4? nope!

if they patch it, get the frame rate worked out, get online co op working.. it'd be a solid co op game. as it stands, it needs work and i dont recommend it until it IS patched.

oh and the enemies? wow.. hard! even on normal difficulty! i was running FROM enemies more than AT them in this game! tons of enemies will swarm you! i was begging for ammo around every corner.. the ammo drops are so rare in this game, i was always out of ammo and had to play more frugally. u can always run a co op match, alone, until they patch it, and turn on infinite ammo and it totally makes it fun to play, and you can get trophies, too, even though u turn on infinite ammo! also, be ready for loooooong empty stretches to run across. with. nothing. there. but they added a motorcycle.. BRIEFLY to ride in the game. then you dont ever see it again. wha?! it feels like the game is unfinished.

Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok Costs $40, Not Included in the Season Pass

@fR_eeBritney reminds me of far cry series. its cut n paste to me now. its suffering CoD syndrome where there's a new game yearly or bi yearly now. far cry and AC games are just time waster games to me at this point - busy work while waiting for some other more interesting game to release. when i complete a far cry or AC game? i hardly remember anything in the game lol. except nice grafx i guess. they still havent done an AC game with ninjas.

far cry and AC are the "cheap romance novels" of gaming - they continue to sell, so, they continue to get made.

Re: Hands On: The Matrix Awakens Is an Unreal Demonstration of PS5's Power

graphics were great. even gta would have a hard time making a city look like that. but they need to step it up out of 30 frames. we usually see the high powered games with graphics closer to this later in a generation, like at last 3 to 4 years into a next gen console. so im hoping by 2023 we start seeing stuff on this level. devs keep going for the 4k mark and i know for a fact you can run a game at 1440p, hdr, ray tracing and yank 60 frames and a game still looks dang close to if its 4k. im not worried about 4k, i'd be fine with anything above 1080p.

Re: PS4 to PS5: All Games with Confirmed Free Upgrades

i wanted to see gta 5 and rdr2 run at 60 frames and at least 1440p. but it looks like they want us to buy gta 5 all over... AGAIN.. on ps5 to get 60 frames. nope! im not buying it a 3rd time! i also heard witcher 3's upgrade was pushed back to april-june 2022. what?! i guess they're focused more on cyberpunk right now. i'd also love to see fallout 76 get at least a 1440p and 60 frame rate upgrade.

Re: PS Plus Blocks Free Mortal Shell PS5 Upgrade

Pixelated

@martsmall xbox doesnt have anything going lol, slack frame rates, low sales even compared to nintendo switch, slower load times than ps5, gamepass is a glorified gaming version of netflix and will turn gaming in 8 years into a mobile scenario, their OSes are bloatware garbage. microsoft back in 2013 totally wanted to SPY ON gamers with a camera/microphone and they didnt want you trading in games or buying them used or lending to friends. yet people think they're putting the customer first?! lol now microsoft is trying to drag people into ALL digital - exactly what they were doing in 2013, but this time without the orwellian camera and people are dumb enough to fall for it! also, why are people advertising for xbox on a playstation site? bots? trolls?

Re: PS Plus Blocks Free Mortal Shell PS5 Upgrade

Pixelated

sooo.... a free ps5 game.. isnt a ps5 game. i wonder if sony decided this or the game dev? also whats with the guys on here pushing xbox lol. this is a PLAYSTATION based site. i dumped windows and xbox years ago and for very valid reasons and wont ever go back. but this also leads into why i dont want an all digital game future... this kinda garbage, right here, can and will happen. i dunno why people keep saying this is entitled to expect the free upgrade. how is it entitled? we PAID for the service and the upgrade is FREE other wise! "well sony doesnt have to give you free games" - ok, and i dont have to buy ps plus anymore and they can go bankrupt. sound good? for those whining that this is fair and this is the ps4 version of the game because its being released on ps4 as a free game... ok, and? the game is being released on ps5 as well and ps5 people should get the ps5 version. its that simple. whether i like the game or not i wont be paying for any free upgrade. free means u DONT pay!

good grafx. i saw some tree pop-in though. not a big deal, but i did notice it.

i dont like GT because its TOO real as far as physics and control and i dont like the confined tracks. i prefer rally games where you can go from mud to asphalt to uphil in 1 race. or arcadey games like much underrated "midnight club." i even like the crew 2 a little. its open world, arcadey, decent grafx.

GT is for a specific crowd. i wonder if this is 4k 60 or 4k 120 we're seeing in the video.

Re: Reaction: Merging PS Plus and PS Now Makes Sense, But an Xbox Game Pass Competitor Can't Be Half-Arsed

hmmm.. i was guessing a while back they'd add ps now in with ps plus eventually. if they wanna keep people around, offer up ps1, ps2, ps3 and psp/vita games as well. not ALL, obviously, but select games that were standouts for their time.

gimme all that... i'll pay $100 a year, max. prefer 80. also, gonna have to have the latest games roll out as well... maybe not day-one, but within the first MONTH i'd like to see the latest games get added to this new subscription model. also, continue to offer the choice of downloading the games or streaming them. i'd rather DL them as streaming still has laggy controls and grainy picture quality.

but unfortunately.. all this leads to an eventual all-digital road. which, i DONT want gaming to go down that road. it'll lead to a dead end and no one's even discussing that scenario in the gaming world.

youtube app on ps5 needs a ton of work. it stalls, it quits out saying no internet connection. plus it now focuses on ads, it begins you with a HUGE ad, usually something woke or cringe. the only thing I'd care to see with HDR in utube would be game videos, so i can see how games look with hdr on (some games are terrible with hdr, but i just got a new tv that handles hdr beautifully, i need to re-try some of those hdr-ugly games, RDR2 is a very washed out game with hdr and maybe it'll look nicer now).

I didnt wanna try this... but after getting my PS5 i went ahead and bought it to see. I didnt like it much. Graphics are great. The first handful of hours were interesting, seeing the sights, figuring things out. But having to creep and crawl and duck because of some invisible entities... much like with MGS 5... I was like, nah, either give me an enemy I can see right away and fight, or dont give me one at all! If the game had vehicles right out of the gate and the physics of the landscape affected your vehicle instead of just your feet.. I mighta stayed. Or if you could have built a small base/shelter and sent out robots or drones to help do side missions in the background to help generate money/resources or something.. woulda been more interesting.

Maybe I'll try it again one day, but... too much in my backlog right now to worry about it.

I think people were wanting/expecting modern gen graphical upgrade and didnt get it and got butt hurt lol. I was OK with the game, though I laughed at the weird cartoony appearances of most characters in the remaster... what really irritated me was the horrible jerky frame rates in certain areas. In the mall in Vice City... it was horrid! Also, people say they like the fog. They're just nostalgic - there's no reason in 2021 you shouldnt be able to see into the distance in a game. Im glad they removed the fog, but, there should be a box to tick if you want it on. Frame rate and jerky frames have this one sitting on my new PS5's ssd i installed and Im not playing it again until things are fixed.

Keep in mind, Rockstar didnt make this... they hired out Grove Street Games to do it. I looked into them and they make GTA cell phone games.. and this trilogy? Yeah.. looks like a cell phone game. This game shoulda been $30 max. Not $60.
