lol hey, why are the mods deleting my comment i had here saying my comment was unconstructive? sorry bro, but opinions u dont like ARE the way of the world and the 1st amendment! not every comment is 'constructive' in the way YOU define it. anyway, as i said in my prior rightful opinion before i was discriminated against for saying it... the cutscene is goofy. it reminds me of the sega cd days. the cutscenes were worse back then lol. but it looks 100% 'woke' to me and cheesy. wouldnt touch it. i cant think of any racing fans who ask for real life cutscenes. the ones in midnight club years back were just in-game characters and they were more interesting than, say, real actors not acting very well.
@MattBoothDev i will say, their games arent for everyone, the high difficulty curve is harsh for many. even me. but elden ring was my last try for their games, and its not bad. big, open world with lots of room to dodge and roll away from enemies. enemies and materials respawn so readily in the game world that collecting 'runes' or whatever are easy enough (but grindy) to obtain that u can level pretty fast and take down enemies way quicker. its a 'softer' experience for me, than say, bloodborne or demons souls remaster. if u ever do get interested to try it, wait for a sale for sure.
whaaa? why! i guess i dont mind capcom upping the grafx detail but are we talkin free upgrades here for ps5? are they gonna do a VR grafx upgrade, too, for RE7 for example when the PSVR 2 comes out? also, whats that game where u run around in like... a co op team of 3 or 4... and you're goin thru facilities and it's basically like Left 4 Dead. its an RE game, it was on the 360 years ago. raccoon.. something... i forget. that was awesome! i wanna see that upgraded for ps5! im hoping these grafx upgraded versions will be 1440p or higher and 60 frames. im sure ray tracing would be possible, as these arent huge, taxing, open world games with tons of enemies all over.
@Medic_Alert i have a lot of stuff i need to use but the descriptions are vague to me lol. i keep forgetting it's a japanese company and sometimes they are strange with their wording, to me anyway. i have flasks and tears and this and that. i think some permanently give me more health bottles to use. i need to find free time to play again and dig into it.
@sanderson72 they never put full lineups of games in compilations. last good compilations i saw were years ago. on the old first original xbox. capcom collections, volumes 1 and 2. never been a collection like that since.

if this pac-man museum was called "namco anniversary + museum" or something and had a ton of other namco arcade games in the mix... i'd really be excited. but just pac-man games? i dunno... ms pac man isnt in there. should be. like an extra game you can buy for the arcade segment of the game or if you unlock X amount of trophies, then mc pacman unlocks. but noooo... they didnt do that!
@Medic_Alert i just noticed the weight of my character so i put a few points in endurance to increase my weight capacity. im using a long sword now. its slow but its still a 1-hander and when i do connect it does massive damage. i need to get a light sword to swing faster as a 2nd weapon. i have a bow i've used and at distance, i can powershot crabs 4 times an end'em quickly before they can even run up on me. dunno how to call in wolves but i'll look into it and see. i can tell this is just a game of "grind and level and THEN that boss is easy" and i need to play it that way and not try to be aragorn and take on 10 enemies at once lol. im just not used to a game NOT showing me quest markers.
i sucked at bloodborne. but liked the grafx and level design. i sucked at demons souls on ps5, but liked the grafx. this time around, the same formula of gameplay is here but in a larger area, not always tight hallways like the previous 2 games i mentioned. i picked the BANDIT class first, thinking he'd get extra stealth ability, but that... isnt the case. i then made a new game and picked the vagabond, that is, the knight. been doin better. a lot better. i learned not to just go gung-ho into a battle against 2-3 enemies just because i have a long sword! the slow wind up and pitch of that strike... gets ya in trouble as enemies with smaller, lighter weapons will wail on you faster.
still not over random crab encounters lol.
havent beat a boss yet, im leveling up. i wanna go in and 3-4 hit-kill a boss if possible. but i got the horse.. i figured out how to use the rune/money orbs i find, i figured out when i make waypoints at rest sites and how to USE them if im in a new, dangerous area im not ready for yet. i see a giant and i turn and run for now lol. but i did learn to lock-on to an enemy while on my horse and just circle him and swing away... so far few enemies land 1 blow on me when i do that.
for a new guy who sucks at these kinda games, im faring much better in elden ring. its because there's a slight element of stealth, hiding in bushes, and just open-world-ness. maybe playing this game will help me get better at demons souls on ps5 later one day.
if they make another game like this, and open world, i'd buy it in the future probably. but.. fix the kooky frame pacing issues. they're not super common or really horrible, but occasionally noticeable and this issue is present on all 3 platforms.
literally not interested in a thing on this list. i have quite a few games to finish as it is, but march is nothing for me unless a surprise indie pops out like Valheim or maybe the updated GTA 5.

i'd go with bandit. i like stealth gameplay. sneakin around, gettin criticals from behind unseen maybe, snatchin loot unseen if possible, vanishing in tall grass maybe while enemies pass by that are way out of my league to be fighting.
my second choice would be, as usual, some type of warrior/barbarian, brute force thru most things, maybe a type of paladin that can heal himself but is also a fighter. third choice is always archer. pick'em off from afar.
@Haruki_NLI if nintendo upgraded their hardware, they'd have 100 million people playin easy, every day - i would, i like nintendo's first party games more than playstation's. but my point was simple - there are not 100 million playing switch every day. i think its because it has become a niche console now. if i thought that was bad, i wouldnt have bought one. but my point still stands true - not 100 million playing it even if 100 million bought it. too many good offerings on the other consoles. like back with the genesis/snes wars long ago. 50 million mighta had snes, but im sure a good chunk of that number had a genesis, too, and played it just as much!

@kyleforrester87 the only people playing switch all the time are people mostly into anime/weaboo games and not into stuff like CoD or battlefield or any of the hardcore multiplayer PvP games, which is fine. the switch's weak tablet hardware is fully capable of handling pokemon and games like that. but bro.. lol i didnt assume anything. pretty sure you can go look up software sales and see only a few niche genres sell on switch. lots of people buy switch......... but then hardly play it. u said u do this yourself. so i didnt assume, i made an observation that's correct. i bought mine for 1st party games. but, they dont come out often, so, that's what my PS5 is for while i wait on nintendo to release another metroid or mario game.
@Flaming_Kaiser gta 5 has a better engine, too, apparently, than dying light 2. they're gonna re-release gta 5 again soon on ps5. 4k, 60 frames, ray tracing. no excuse for DL2 to be sitting on 1080p with ugly low res textures.
@KundaliniRising333 they dropped a patch today... added 2 options to disable blur in the game. it helps, but the 1080p NOW reveals the LOW RES textures lol! this game is NOT next gen, at all. fallout 76 looks better... no joke! by the way, they dont have to drop res for ray traced shadows. ask Rockstar.. they're about to re-release GTA 5, again, on PS5, running at 4k, 60 frames, ray tracing. no excuse for Dying Light 2 to be 1080p with low res textures.
takes too long to level. zombies take too many hits. they finally added options to remove blur effects but it only reveals how utterly ugly and low-res the graphics are. fallout 76 looks better. yes, i said that! this is NOT next gen title for PS5, at all, like many thought it'd be. it's 1080p and thats unacceptable for PS5. if they bump the res to 1440p and add a bit higher textures? oh it'd look excellent. but then, they gotta balance the weapons and level up system. im tired of games releasing in a rushed, unfinished "beta" state. AAA titles, no less. most i know agree.
fix the graphics and resolution and balance the game... i'd give it an 8/10. but in its current state? 4/10.
the parkour "get away at any time" mechanic is goofy to me. there's no real fear when you can just parkour away lol. plus it makes a lot of people motion sick im sure. i'll still give it a try, i hope the game does have craftable weapons/guns and games like this, including far cry, i dont care for the story. just the zombie action and playing co op with a buddy and laughing and goofing around. as long as the game brings in 30-40 hours of campaign time, maybe 50-60 if u go for collectibles, trophies, etc.. i'll be fine. i was hoping we'd get extra modes, like a co op horde survival mode in a small confined area or something. but thats asking too much today.. that has to be $30 DLC 6 months later, right? lol!
the 1080p @ 60fps is just dumb. sorry, but i dont believe next gen consoles cant handle 1440p or higher at 60 frames in this game WITH even lower level ray tracing on. at that point, im thinking the game is being rushed or just has a dated engine. perhaps its being held back by it being cross platform with older gen consoles? back 4 blood runs 4k, 60 frames, looks as good as this game if not better WITH 4 player co op and dozens of zombies running full speed. "but back 4 blood isnt open world!" ok, then, the upcoming RE remaster of GTA 5 on ps5.. its way more open world that dying light 2, and it'll run 60 frames and higher than 1080p. so there ya have it.
lol well.. here's the real question: who is PLAYING their switch? lots of people i know, myself included, have bought a switch.. but dont even play it now. we played zelda, mario games... thats it. i dont care if it sells 100 million units... i guarantee there are NOT 100 million playing it!
as for my own opinion....... i dont care for bungie. they've made woke statements kinda recently and i dont like them as a company nor am i a fan of halo. destiny was OK for literally a few weeks and then i was over it. to me, this was a pointless buyout. i was against MS buying out bethesda and activision... and im against sony now buying out devs.

eehhh... i dunno if i'd like this... i tried bloodborne when i get my ps4 in 2014. i was like, wow, nice grafx, good setting, this could be a castlevania game! then i play and get beat down lol. repeatedly. then years later i get a ps5 summer of 2021, get that souls game. i was like, wow.. again.. grafx! third guy i came across laid down merciless whippin on me. what was i doin wrong?! same happened to me in witcher 3. its the dodge system i wasnt using. im used to blocking, not dodging/rolling. hopefully, elden ring can go easier on guys like me who are used to playing games like Back 4 Blood on hard difficulties (which is harder than souls, i guarantee ya) as opposed to slower dodge/roll games. i tend to "tally ho" forward wantin action.. i'd have to train myself to go slow and dodge/roll in a game. but i can play slow stealth games with ease. go figure.
@GADG3Tx87 seems to me ALL the companies will fall in line with the same agenda eventually. always do. nintendo is the rare hold-out, but even they cave at some point, to some degree. i just wish nintendo would quit releasing decade-old tablet hardware, calling it a "game system" and then charging a premium for it lol. they also need to get a real UI for their consoles and a real online service that doesnt require use of a phone app to voice chat buddies.
as long as sony does their "own thing" over to the side like nintendo always does, they should be able to shrug M$ off. people think this is "sony pony fan talk" - nope, it's not. 1) remaster R6 Vegas 1 and 2 or 2) remake R6 Vegas 1 and 2 or 3) make R6 Vegas 3 (or some other locale) or 4) if they want a co op game, make a terror hunt game only, 4 player co op, on or offline play, ranking, level up, unlock weaps, 20 maps to start with, crossplay option, dlc would be limited to skins and new operators with new abilities and new maps
it's literally THIS easy and... they wont do it. i guarantee any of the above games would sell great.
i dunno what the "extraction" game is like, not played it, but if you're lookin to fight mutated stuff, go get Back 4 Blood. it's 4k and 60 frames on PS5 and is one of the better looking/playing games, too.

@theheadofabroom well i mean lately the series just started to be HUGE open world levels. after absolution. hitman 1, 2, contracts, blood money.. all had fairly small levels in comparison to the games today. i prefer the areas to be smaller. telling me "hey, a new target is available this week, on the same map, but at the other end of the map" doesnt do much to get me back into the game lol. i generally get all the trophies for a hitman game and then im done till the next. but the new series? i cant keep interest in.

i get tired of devs doing options like this. it's goofy. i dunno... make a better game engine? optimize it more? there ARE games i've played that yank above 1440p and also have ray tracing and hdr AND 60 frames all going at once! matter of fact, i'd prefer if the game ran at 1440p - 1800p (not 4k) and had 60 frames and all the bells and whistles. also, there are levels of ray tracing, like reflections only, they could do. i cant go back to 30 frames, even on ps5 with locked 30 frames. input lag is terrible. only 1 game i ever played at 30fps with no lag which was destiny 2. i played another game recently that had a performance mode and after flippin thru the modes? the reduction in detail in performance mode was so slight, i couldnt hardly notice it. it removed a few reflections, some grass on the ground, that was it. detail remained, frames hit 60. hopefully it'll be this way in dying light 2.
i assume here, performance mode is keeping 60fps and HDR but dropping ray tracing and water reflections. but again.. there ARE games that run all these and maintain 60. the ps5 is way more capable than people realize and giving weird resolution/frame rate options in games is kinda insulting, to me anyway.
i like the game series... but with the new way they're doing the game.. i dont like it. i prefer absolution type levels. not huge levels and "here... here's a random mission.. on the same level... but in a different area of a pointlessly huge map.. go do it.. again and again!" boring. but thats just me.
M$ tried to force orwellian measures at E3 in 2013. remember? always on? kinect/mic must be on? no sharing games? yah... then people screamed at M$ for it and they dialed it back. that'll all come rushing back i bet if M$ basically takes over most of the gaming industry.

i think im pac-manned out lol. but i like the idea. if its $20 i might get it just because... im a retro gamer. but i wish we'd get an arcade indie type game where you just run an arcade. people come in, play games, you level up the arcade, expand the size, add new games, maybe even play the games. there have been games like this in the past, one was on xbox 360 years ago and it was pretty good. wish we'd see another game like that here in next gen.
if this pac-man museum was called "namco anniversary + museum" or something and had a ton of other namco arcade games in the mix... i'd really be excited. but just pac-man games? i dunno... ms pac man isnt in there. should be. like an extra game you can buy for the arcade segment of the game or if you unlock X amount of trophies, then mc pacman unlocks. but noooo... they didnt do that!

@Medic_Alert i just noticed the weight of my character so i put a few points in endurance to increase my weight capacity. im using a long sword now. its slow but its still a 1-hander and when i do connect it does massive damage. i need to get a light sword to swing faster as a 2nd weapon. i have a bow i've used and at distance, i can powershot crabs 4 times an end'em quickly before they can even run up on me. dunno how to call in wolves but i'll look into it and see. i can tell this is just a game of "grind and level and THEN that boss is easy" and i need to play it that way and not try to be aragorn and take on 10 enemies at once lol. im just not used to a game NOT showing me quest markers.

i sucked at bloodborne. but liked the grafx and level design. i sucked at demons souls on ps5, but liked the grafx. this time around, the same formula of gameplay is here but in a larger area, not always tight hallways like the previous 2 games i mentioned. i picked the BANDIT class first, thinking he'd get extra stealth ability, but that... isnt the case. i then made a new game and picked the vagabond, that is, the knight. been doin better. a lot better. i learned not to just go gung-ho into a battle against 2-3 enemies just because i have a long sword! the slow wind up and pitch of that strike... gets ya in trouble as enemies with smaller, lighter weapons will wail on you faster.
still not over random crab encounters lol.
havent beat a boss yet, im leveling up. i wanna go in and 3-4 hit-kill a boss if possible. but i got the horse.. i figured out how to use the rune/money orbs i find, i figured out when i make waypoints at rest sites and how to USE them if im in a new, dangerous area im not ready for yet. i see a giant and i turn and run for now lol. but i did learn to lock-on to an enemy while on my horse and just circle him and swing away... so far few enemies land 1 blow on me when i do that.
for a new guy who sucks at these kinda games, im faring much better in elden ring. its because there's a slight element of stealth, hiding in bushes, and just open-world-ness. maybe playing this game will help me get better at demons souls on ps5 later one day.
if they make another game like this, and open world, i'd buy it in the future probably. but.. fix the kooky frame pacing issues. they're not super common or really horrible, but occasionally noticeable and this issue is present on all 3 platforms.

i'd go with bandit. i like stealth gameplay. sneakin around, gettin criticals from behind unseen maybe, snatchin loot unseen if possible, vanishing in tall grass maybe while enemies pass by that are way out of my league to be fighting.
my second choice would be, as usual, some type of warrior/barbarian, brute force thru most things, maybe a type of paladin that can heal himself but is also a fighter. third choice is always archer. pick'em off from afar.

@Haruki_NLI if nintendo upgraded their hardware, they'd have 100 million people playin easy, every day - i would, i like nintendo's first party games more than playstation's. but my point was simple - there are not 100 million playing switch every day. i think its because it has become a niche console now. if i thought that was bad, i wouldnt have bought one. but my point still stands true - not 100 million playing it even if 100 million bought it. too many good offerings on the other consoles. like back with the genesis/snes wars long ago. 50 million mighta had snes, but im sure a good chunk of that number had a genesis, too, and played it just as much!

@kyleforrester87 the only people playing switch all the time are people mostly into anime/weaboo games and not into stuff like CoD or battlefield or any of the hardcore multiplayer PvP games, which is fine. the switch's weak tablet hardware is fully capable of handling pokemon and games like that. but bro.. lol i didnt assume anything. pretty sure you can go look up software sales and see only a few niche genres sell on switch. lots of people buy switch......... but then hardly play it. u said u do this yourself. so i didnt assume, i made an observation that's correct. i bought mine for 1st party games. but, they dont come out often, so, that's what my PS5 is for while i wait on nintendo to release another metroid or mario game.

@KundaliniRising333 they dropped a patch today... added 2 options to disable blur in the game. it helps, but the 1080p NOW reveals the LOW RES textures lol! this game is NOT next gen, at all. fallout 76 looks better... no joke! by the way, they dont have to drop res for ray traced shadows. ask Rockstar.. they're about to re-release GTA 5, again, on PS5, running at 4k, 60 frames, ray tracing. no excuse for Dying Light 2 to be 1080p with low res textures.

takes too long to level. zombies take too many hits. they finally added options to remove blur effects but it only reveals how utterly ugly and low-res the graphics are. fallout 76 looks better. yes, i said that! this is NOT next gen title for PS5, at all, like many thought it'd be. it's 1080p and thats unacceptable for PS5. if they bump the res to 1440p and add a bit higher textures? oh it'd look excellent. but then, they gotta balance the weapons and level up system. im tired of games releasing in a rushed, unfinished "beta" state. AAA titles, no less. most i know agree.
fix the graphics and resolution and balance the game... i'd give it an 8/10. but in its current state? 4/10.

the parkour "get away at any time" mechanic is goofy to me. there's no real fear when you can just parkour away lol. plus it makes a lot of people motion sick im sure. i'll still give it a try, i hope the game does have craftable weapons/guns and games like this, including far cry, i dont care for the story. just the zombie action and playing co op with a buddy and laughing and goofing around. as long as the game brings in 30-40 hours of campaign time, maybe 50-60 if u go for collectibles, trophies, etc.. i'll be fine. i was hoping we'd get extra modes, like a co op horde survival mode in a small confined area or something. but thats asking too much today.. that has to be $30 DLC 6 months later, right? lol!
the 1080p @ 60fps is just dumb. sorry, but i dont believe next gen consoles cant handle 1440p or higher at 60 frames in this game WITH even lower level ray tracing on. at that point, im thinking the game is being rushed or just has a dated engine. perhaps its being held back by it being cross platform with older gen consoles? back 4 blood runs 4k, 60 frames, looks as good as this game if not better WITH 4 player co op and dozens of zombies running full speed. "but back 4 blood isnt open world!" ok, then, the upcoming RE remaster of GTA 5 on ps5.. its way more open world that dying light 2, and it'll run 60 frames and higher than 1080p. so there ya have it.

@LiamCroft i agree... i dont like to see MS and Sony buying out gaming. not good. it'll fragment gaming. im not buying 2 or 3 consoles. no time to play ALL of the games. also, i dont like MS at all, i quit using windows and xbox years ago. not another dime from me. gamers cheering this on shows how immature gamers still are, how they arent aware of the bigger picture or implications of buyouts down the road. im sure most of the ones cheering are under 35.

eehhh... i dunno if i'd like this... i tried bloodborne when i get my ps4 in 2014. i was like, wow, nice grafx, good setting, this could be a castlevania game! then i play and get beat down lol. repeatedly. then years later i get a ps5 summer of 2021, get that souls game. i was like, wow.. again.. grafx! third guy i came across laid down merciless whippin on me. what was i doin wrong?! same happened to me in witcher 3. its the dodge system i wasnt using. im used to blocking, not dodging/rolling. hopefully, elden ring can go easier on guys like me who are used to playing games like Back 4 Blood on hard difficulties (which is harder than souls, i guarantee ya) as opposed to slower dodge/roll games. i tend to "tally ho" forward wantin action.. i'd have to train myself to go slow and dodge/roll in a game. but i can play slow stealth games with ease. go figure.
this looks medieval with a hint of japanese.

@GADG3Tx87 seems to me ALL the companies will fall in line with the same agenda eventually. always do. nintendo is the rare hold-out, but even they cave at some point, to some degree. i just wish nintendo would quit releasing decade-old tablet hardware, calling it a "game system" and then charging a premium for it lol. they also need to get a real UI for their consoles and a real online service that doesnt require use of a phone app to voice chat buddies.
as long as sony does their "own thing" over to the side like nintendo always does, they should be able to shrug M$ off. people think this is "sony pony fan talk" - nope, it's not. PS4 was my first playstation ever. i liked it, got PS5. im not a hardcore fan, i'm just trying to be smart and not use consoles run by overlords lol.

i heard rumor of this months ago. even if it happened, i wouldnt buy gamepass. ever. M$ is very evil and will never get any more money from me. i switched over to using linux a few years back and also switched from xbox 360 to playstation brand in 2013. it'd ruin gaming. gamers see it as some wonderful thing to pay a yearly fee to play ANY game. but they'll all be digital.. and did anyone have the discussion yet of how much money devs make digitally compared to physical sales? one dev said, i recall reading, they're LOSING money by going all digital.
"they" own the movies, the music, the comic books.. now they're coming for the games. dont think so? then why are we seeing "woke" galore in games now?
lets pray gaming doesnt go the mobile route in terms of mostly indie garbage with unlimited micros and even ads u gotta watch. because right now, gaming, even on console, is becoming chock fulla micros and "dlc" and gambling mechanics. the dashboard areas for xbox AND playstation have a LOT of ads lately. wait until they put'em in-game down the road. even if just on the main menu of a game.
gamers still dont see.. this isnt about gaming.. gamepass. this is a takeover possibly and the end result will be dire for gaming.

or
3) make R6 Vegas 3 (or some other locale)
or
4) if they want a co op game, make a terror hunt game only, 4 player co op, on or offline play, ranking, level up, unlock weaps, 20 maps to start with, crossplay option, dlc would be limited to skins and new operators with new abilities and new maps
it's literally THIS easy and... they wont do it. i guarantee any of the above games would sell great.
i dunno what the "extraction" game is like, not played it, but if you're lookin to fight mutated stuff, go get Back 4 Blood. it's 4k and 60 frames on PS5 and is one of the better looking/playing games, too.

@InvaderJim right... well... then Sony needs to find/hire a new dev, even an indie one, to make a better knock-off version of "call of duty" and then make it exclusive to PS5 and have NO pc port, either. the door is wide open for sony to buy/hire new talent now. because obviously M$ has none to sport, they gotta buy up talent.
i'd quit porting games to pc, if i were sony. also, i'd seriously look into creating another handheld if i were sony. i'd also extend an olive branch to nintendo, because M$ is doing that right now with nintendo and its very odd to me that a U.S. company (M$) is gettin buddy buddy with a japanese company (big N). you'd think it'd be sony gettin buddy buddy.

@theheadofabroom well i mean lately the series just started to be HUGE open world levels. after absolution. hitman 1, 2, contracts, blood money.. all had fairly small levels in comparison to the games today. i prefer the areas to be smaller. telling me "hey, a new target is available this week, on the same map, but at the other end of the map" doesnt do much to get me back into the game lol. i generally get all the trophies for a hitman game and then im done till the next. but the new series? i cant keep interest in.

i get tired of devs doing options like this. it's goofy. i dunno... make a better game engine? optimize it more? there ARE games i've played that yank above 1440p and also have ray tracing and hdr AND 60 frames all going at once! matter of fact, i'd prefer if the game ran at 1440p - 1800p (not 4k) and had 60 frames and all the bells and whistles. also, there are levels of ray tracing, like reflections only, they could do. i cant go back to 30 frames, even on ps5 with locked 30 frames. input lag is terrible. only 1 game i ever played at 30fps with no lag which was destiny 2. i played another game recently that had a performance mode and after flippin thru the modes? the reduction in detail in performance mode was so slight, i couldnt hardly notice it. it removed a few reflections, some grass on the ground, that was it. detail remained, frames hit 60. hopefully it'll be this way in dying light 2.
i assume here, performance mode is keeping 60fps and HDR but dropping ray tracing and water reflections. but again.. there ARE games that run all these and maintain 60. the ps5 is way more capable than people realize and giving weird resolution/frame rate options in games is kinda insulting, to me anyway.

i like the game series... but with the new way they're doing the game.. i dont like it. i prefer absolution type levels. not huge levels and "here... here's a random mission.. on the same level... but in a different area of a pointlessly huge map.. go do it.. again and again!" boring. but thats just me.
