i just got a brand new, bigger tv. Less than 24 hours ago, so, I'll be color calibrating it a bit and then playing a lot! Back 4 Blood, GTA Trilogy, Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order (which im way late buying, game is fantastic, unreal engine in the game looks awesome). I have tons of others I havent had time to get more than half way done with like Far Cry 6, Valhalla, Diablo 2 and more.
I wish they spent a little more time on the character model and car detail. But I'll still nab it.. just for Vice City alone but of course I'll play all 3 to get the trophies.
I'm a fan of the first seasons of Spongebob (i have the "first 100 episodes" on dvd). I like the older, sloppier Spongebob cartoons and artwork, NOT the newer stuff. Also, I like the old Ninja Turtles cartoons from early 90s, NOT the newer ones. That said... the lack of voice acting or music......?! I'd have to pass on buying this. That'd be half the reason to buy the game I'd think.
There's a lot to complain about but overall it's decent looking and plays smooth on PS5. It's basically Far Cry 5... in a jungle. The pets are funny. You can cause a lot of chaos with the pets lol. Enemy A.I. is just.. generic.. dumb. Not fun. It feels like a "time waster chore game" to me. Imagine building a small house in Minecraft and then just spending hours choppin wood, gathering food, harvesting a wheat field, storing it all in chests... busy-work, basically. That's all Far Cry is - mindless busy-work with a fair amount of fun moments but overall.. forgettable very quickly. This is a game you wanna get on sale $40 or less in my opinion. Once you unlock the dog named Boom Boom, you can sit outside a base, on a hill, and sic your dog on enemies and he'll take'em down. I've cleared bases from afar with the dog while telling him which enemies to attack using my binoculars (your phone in-game), not one alarm raised!
Pretty good review. The swarm mode IS tacked on, too! I see why they didnt do a full-on "versus" mode like Left 4 Dead - the levels in Back 4 Blood are sooo long. That'd be a long versus game! I dont like the card/deck system, this isnt call of duty. I dont like the insane unfair difficulty. Most people are complaining. Have you experienced literally TEN special ridden all come out at the same time?! Non stop zombie spawns on the mine shaft level?! It's crazy! I played L4D 1 and 2 for thousands of hours, on hardest difficulties.. never had these issues! Also, you basically HAVE to turn on crossplay or you WONT get in a game with PS4/5 people. You mostly get xbox and pc people (who are actually terrible at the game lol). I rarely get a match with even one PS gamer. I turn crossplay off and let the game timeout looking for people, it then starts the game any way, with bots, they're more useful than most players, sorry to say! A few good patches, a tweak to enemy difficulty and spawns... it'll be good to go as an alternative to not getting L4D3.
