Re: ARC Raiders (PS5) - A Triumph in Multiplayer Immersion

This game is dog****. 99% of the gameplay is boring nothing then it's a dice drop of either you biting the dust with zero way of winning, or you steamrolling some idiots. Then there are the times when the arc swarms you and you literally have no way of surviving because they block all paths and simply mow you down the second you leave cover. What an amazing concept...

I always thought the series were extremely overrated, so IDGF.

The first one was sort of a lightning in a bottle situation but nothing after that lived up to the hype people seemed to have for it.

For me it always looked like a typical Stockholm syndrome, some people simply didn't know anything else so it was the best thing in the world for them, meanwhile aside from the music and the AI it was agressively mediocre, slow, boring and the multiplayer was nothing great either.

No, really? How come? Is it the engine that has been able to build for multiple platforms for over a decade now, or the fact that both consoles are basically glorified PCs in all parts except the OS (sans Xbox since it runs Windows).

Bruh. Also, the fact that Hellblades are incredibly simplistic and barely more than glorified tech demos using the built in stuff the engine comes with, helps a lot.
