@LifeGirl it was just an expression of disappointment, not meant to be taken literally. I didn’t mean to cause any offence, honestly. I just REALLY dislike the Anime skins (in Fortnite). Nothing against Anime generally, if that’s what you’re into. But this is the secret skin and they’re usually top tier. It’s disappointing to most Fortnite players from what I’ve seen online.

@LifeGirl How is it disrespectful to say I don’t like something? The Anime skins are very niche. They should have put this in the store instead but they probably know hardly anyone will buy it.

@AFCC It just feels like a waste of a place in the lineup to use something so niche and off-theme. I never see anyone wearing these Anime skins in any of the BR lobbies I play.

For me, there is no secret skin this season because I’ll never use it. But it’s nice for the five people who will, I guess.

Love the theme but… another boring Anime skin for the secret skin (instead of OG Kratos). Something to NOT look forward to…

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered and with a few tweaks to the modern controls, this is Tomb Raider at its best.

Playing these remasters made me realise how much Tomb Raider shaped the gaming industry we know today. And how each game that followed raised the bar even further. They really were groundbreaking for their time.

I read that sales have been good, so hopefully we’ll get a second collection for IV and V.

Well I’ve been enjoying it at least 😂

I’ve only been playing through the story (solo) mind you.

@Jammsbro I like ‘good’ live service games and I like SP games. I support both. There’s room for both.

I don’t like Sports games or COD, both of which are insanely popular. But I’m not going to vote 1/10 on their polls because I’m worried their insane popularity is going to ruin the gaming industry. That’s silly.

Live service games aren’t ruining the industry. There are as many bad live service games as there are good ones. Suicide Squad is one of the good ones and doesn’t deserve the blind hate or hysteria.

Fair enough if you don’t like live service games but just ignore it and move on 🤷

Why can’t they ever just say what they mean instead of dancing around it? Still using the same nonsense performance they did when Rise of the Tomb Raider was revealed to be ‘exclusive to Xbox.’ Oh no, it’s only timed exclusive but we can’t say how long for. Oh ok, it’s timed exclusive for one year. Just spit it out fgs.

It could just be a bad angle… but I saw a post online referring to this as ‘Larry Croft’ and now I can’t unsee it 😂

@Jammsbro yeah, it’s possible a few of these people played it and didn’t like it. But mostly, I think it’s whiny la-hoo za-hers who don’t like live service games and think that somehow voting 1/10 in this poll is going to save the gaming industry from impending doom 😂

This whole gen has been kinda lacklustre. PS5 past it’s peak? It doesn’t even feel like it’s got started yet.

I pre-ordered this last month and I never pre-order anything. The original Tomb Raider games are some of my all time favourite games so I’ll be staying up until midnight to finally replay these classics in all their remastered glory.

I hope we get another collection down the line, with The Last Revelation and Chronicles being remastered in the same way.

I’d love the original Resident Evil trilogy to be remastered too. Keeping the OG movement and camera but updating the visuals.

More games on PlayStation is always good.

I had an XB1 for about a year but I barely used it - I just didn’t have the time to juggle two consoles. And because PlayStation will always be my preferred console, I sold the XB1.

There aren’t many Xbox games that scream ‘must play!’ But I don’t stay up to date with Xbox releases tbf.

Sunset Overdrive was great though, I hope they release this on PS5 at some point.

Is this SoP Rebirth only or are there other games being shown too? If it’s Rebirth only I won’t be watching.

It’s really good. Much better than the Avengers game. I’d say it’s closer in style to the Guardians game but also reminds me of Sunset Overdrive. I’m playing through the story and loving every minute. Cutscenes and dialogue in general are hilarious. Gameplay is satisfying.

I think a lot of the hate online is coming from people who dislike live-service games. But I wouldn’t even know this was a live service game so far. Feels like a single player game with optional Co-op.

I don’t think I’ve ever bought a game from a supermarket before. I usually order from Amazon with prime delivery like a normal person.

On no, I tell a lie… I ordered Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart from Tesco in Nov 2021 for £25, when it was still £70 on the PS Store. Even cheap store credit can’t get you great deals like that.

I’m also not too bothered about my personal impact on the environment either tbh. I don’t own a Land Rover. Or fly around the globe on gas-guzzling jets. I never want children. And I recycle. Already done less harm to the environment than most - so I’ll keep my physical games as long as I’m able, thank you.

I can’t believe Paddy Considine wasn’t nominated for his role in House of the Dragon. His performance was far more powerful than anything seen in TLoU show. Clearly a case of who you know.

One of the things I didn’t like about TLoU show was that it felt like it was more about the actors than the characters in the game. Thandiwe Newtons daughter being cast as Sarah and the pointless extended scenes with her, to give her more screen time, is a prime example. It felt like they were using TLoU as a vehicle to boost certain actors careers, rather than it being a genuinely good show.

The internet is a cesspit and it’s always been this way. You can’t just fall apart every time some moron says something stupid or insulting. They want to get a reaction out of you, so don’t play their game and ignore them 🤷‍♂️

My copy arrived today but I’m still working my way through Burning Shores. I’ve installed it so will probably play it over the weekend.

@tallythwack it isn’t a black and white issue but the activists are so hostile. You can’t have a serious discussion because the moment you say something they don’t like they want to ruin your life. Even people in the trans community can’t speak out because the activists will turn on them too. It’s no wonder JKR has resorted to trolling them on occasion. JKR just wants the concerns of biological women to be heard and to have a serious conversation. I think the larger trans community want that too if they weren’t afraid to speak up. It’s a sorry state of affairs all round.

Anyway, I’m glad the game has done well and I’m looking forward to the new tv show.

Not to accuse anyone of anything untoward… but who’s to say this whole thing hasn’t been orchestrated for attention? Some people are so desperate for attention these days and will do anything to be noticed. Juicy Smooyay anyone?

@bozz I support representation but not in period movies/tv shows. It destroys immersion when every other character is openly lgbt+ or a poc because it wasn’t like that in 1890 sadly. Applying modern acceptance to period entertainment downplays the struggles people faced back then. Some movies/tv shows do this because they want to be controversial or to get a pat on the back for being progressive - that’s what’s annoying.

If it’s handled correctly and doesn’t pander to the woke crowd, it could be great. It needs to have the same gritty sense of realism as the game or it won’t work.

@jorel262 there’s been Naruto, Dragon Ball, My Hero Academia and now this Attack On Titan collab. There have been other original anime-style skins in the Battle Passes too I think.

They should add a special thanks to JKR in the end credits. I know she wasn’t involved in the making of the game but they are making a lot of money from the world she created. It’s ok to disagree with her views but it feels very hypocritical not to acknowledge her in any way.

@KidBoruto I love the bit when they stick pictures of her magazine covers on Kyles front door and you see them peering out of their window trying to see what kind of reaction it will get. Then when Kyle doesn’t react they get mad and feel victimised 🤣

Also, their private jet slowly pulling-up outside their new home, where they want to live a normal life in privacy 🤣

The entire episode was comedy gold.

@Ambassador_Kong I agree. Considering this is a HBO show I expected so much more. There have been a few highlights but overall the series has been a disappointment at best and a complete disaster at worst.

Just started playing today and it’s so good. I’ve mostly been exploring Hogwarts for a few hours - the place is HUGE.

Professor Weasley’s voice sounded so familiar and a quick Google revealed it to be Lesley Nicol (Mrs Patmore from Downton Abbey) 😁

@zupertramp so many great moments. People tend to write-off TWD because it wasn’t consistently good but when it was good, it was on whole other level.

@SolaceCreed nah, TWD had its best run of episodes between 4.8 - 5.1 but season 2 is my favourite overall season (the one most people hated when it first aired because it was ‘too slow’). Some of the worst parts of the show were lifted right out of the comics, like the Kingdom / LARP community and the pet Tiger, which were ridiculously silly. What they did to Carl was unforgivable but seasons 1-7 were great.

It’s been good so far but I don’t think it’s reached the highs of TWD yet. I often see TLoU compared TWD but it’s easy to forget that TWD had some incredible moments. It had some lows, sure, but it’s highs are still unmatched. Who can ever forget ‘Look at the flowers’ or Negan’s brutal introduction - which remains one of the most horrific episodes of tv to this day. Or the episode where Rick ripped out the throat of one of the ‘Claimers’ with his teeth. Pascal’s Joel feels relatively tame compared to Andrew Lincoln’s portrayal of Rick Grimes. TLoU is ok but TWD is still the ‘King of the apocalypse’.

@djlard JKR was concerned that the rights of biological women were being eroded and disregarded. She doesn’t believe pre-op trans women should be allowed to use women’s toilets or changing rooms etc. (and more recently women’s prisons) because the safety of biological women should never be put at risk. JKR spoke out about changing terminology such as ‘people who menstruate’ and ‘people who give birth’ and publicly supported biological woman who lost their jobs for speaking out and raising their concerns. Trans activists saw this as an attack on trans rights and have been on Defcon 1 ever since. And because JKR will receive royalties from this game, they have called for a boycott.

@MatthewJP yeah, the people screaming ‘boycott’ are at the extreme end of the spectrum. Most people, even members of the LGBT+ community, don’t give a damn.

@Lord_Beerus_87 the more money the game makes the better. JKR donates millions of pounds to various charities. She actually lost her billionaire status due to her charity donations. She’s helped so many people. And by purchasing the game, you’re helping those people too.

Im so glad that the game turned out to be so good and has been so well received by HP fans and non-HP fans alike.

The hyperbole is a bit much. It’s been good so far but hardly groundbreaking. The show isn’t a patch on the game.

I think you should bring back downvoting rather than removing the comments. If a post gets 5 or more downvotes it gets hidden (but can still be viewed). It’s the only fair system. Not to mention how hard it is to follow the bloody conversation when half of it is gone 🙄

@Truegamer79 the original PS3 release and PS4 remaster of TLoU sold a combined total of around 24 million copies. TLoU 2 sold around 10 million copies. So, it sold well but nowhere near as well as it should have considering it was such a highly anticipated sequel to one one Sony’s biggest and most critically acclaimed games.

I wonder if Hogwarts Legacy will credit J K Rowling for her creation? I’m guessing not.

@dark_knightmare2 oh please, HFW is some privileged interns idea of how horrific the world can be (i.e. not very). Whoever wrote these characters does not live in the real world, has never stepped foot in the real world and lives an extremely sheltered existence. They need to hire someone with real world experience to write the next one. Unless, ‘Disney version’ of post-apocalyptic world is what Guerrilla are going for?

Don’t care about any of those examples you gave, if you’re trying to incite some kind of reaction. The writing in HFW was weak. Weak.
