Re: Poll: Take the Push Square E3 2016 Community Predictions Quiz

Majic12

Why would ANYONE who grades these conferences dock points because a segment is a few minutes late to start? These things are fluid and many times changes are made to the order and timing of the presser minutes before it starts. Would rather them be a few minutes.late but get it right then worry about starting on ti.e and fudge it up. Anyways, that's my rant for the day, lol. Sony has figured this thing is out. They know the "American" E3 is all about the surprise moments and the completely unexpected reveals. I expect more of that this year, especially considering how well it went for them last year.

Re: May 2016 NPD: Uncharted 4 Helps US Industry Swing Upwards

Majic12

@Gamer83 I don't think they are sh*the necessarily, just declining a little overall. At this point the ps4 is well established as THE console this generation, and there is nothing Microsoftor Nintendo can do to change that perception among gamers. I think Sony is just going quiet before E3 and then we will be hit with some impressive sales figures. There timing really couldn't be better, just as hardware sales are starting to slip we get PSVR and PS4k, smart move imo.

Re: Talking Point: PlayStation 4K - Are You In or Out?

Majic12

I have always trusted Sony on the hardware front. Whether it be TVS, cameras, phones or consoles, they are always top quality and durable. If Sony says they are realising a super powered ps4, I am in day one and will just give my original ps4 to my 9 year old. His ps3 is still running strong but I know he would be delighted with the upgrade to a ps4. Let's do this

Re: Strap Yourself in to Some New London Heist Footage

Majic12

I am already completely sold on this. Got my PS camera and two move controllers just waiting for launch day. For me VR games don't have to be these long engrossing experiences like so many other games are these days. The biggest market for gaming involves games that can be played in small, short intervals, and I think that market is where VR will cut its teeth. Add in the cinema mode and the dual screen functionality and I think this has a great chance of doing really well for Sony. Can't wait to play NMS in cinema mode with my psvr, awesomeness.

Re: Feature: The 10 Best PS4 Games of 2016 So Far

Majic12

@Boerewors In all fairness, some of the indies have had development trouble this gem as well, ahem...NMS. Just seems like the more we expect out of gamers the longer they take to develop and the more problems can possibly arise. just my two cents

Re: PS4 Controller Selected Best for PC Gaming

Majic12

Agreed, DS4 is the best normal priced controller out there, and Sony really has done a great job improving upon it with ever iteration. Just a quality piece tech. I even use it as my primary tv remote, it's just comfortable.

Re: No Man's Sky Dev Received Death Threats Over Delay

Majic12

Disgusting, I to was wholly dissapointed, and still am, when I heard of the delay. Death threats?! Over 6 weeks?? It's not even a long delay, geezus. How about you outside and enjoy the summer, more than likely the game will be so good none of us will be seeing the outside world for a long while after it releases, better get as much outside playtime in as possible before it releases lol. People suck.

Re: Yep, No Man's Sky Has Been Delayed Again on PS4

Majic12

Take all the time u need Sean, we are expecting greatness. I am highly dissapointed because I was pumped for the ps4 limited edition and I hope these rumors aren't true. If they are true that is ok, it is an ambitious game and getting it right is much more important than releasing a couple weeks. Honestly this sounds like it has more to do with distribution issues than anything with the game. We are talking about less than 6 week delay, not really enough time to make major improvements or changes to the game. No, I think Sony is getting many more physical copies made because this is going to be a huge seller and millions of people worldwide are anxiously awaiting that physical disc.

Re: New The Last Guardian PS4 Footage Will Give You Goosebumps

Majic12

For everyone saying that the graphics look last gen....ahem...have you paid any attention to the animations of Trico and the boy? NONE of those detailed animations were achievable last gen. Better yet, the ENTIRE reason the game was delayed as long as it was is because last gen consoles could not handle what this game demands.
Advanced AI, stupidly detailed animations(take a gander at those feathers as each move independently of the other and the animal) and the awesome lighting and shadow detail. I honestly believe that to many young gamers equate realistic visuals with better graphics.
Just because a game doesn't go for that realistic look does not mean that it could he made exactly as it is last gen. Ueda San never compromised on his vision and dream for this game and luckily his past successes bought him extra time and clout to develop this game the way he sees fit. Expect greatness with this title, it is surely coming.

Re: The Last Guardian's Cat-Bird Will Be Contrary Like a Real Animal

Majic12

I read an article somewhere that there was one main culprit as to why this didn't release on the ps3. The ps3 itself. The article claimed that even though the ps3 was proper powerful for its time, coding the AI within the cell architecture was exceedingly difficult. Ueda, being the artistic bloke he is, would never comprise on his vision for the game, thus creating a massive delay until the ps4 came through the pipeline.
Can you imagine ANY other developer being allowed that kind of freedom to simply not comprise on what they want with their project? All this tells me that Sony knows Ueda San is onto something great with the Last Guardian and because of his resounding success with the other two titles they allowed him to skip an ENTIRE generation to produce the type of game he really wanted.
I am expecting absolute greatness, and based on the track record I don't think we will be dissapointed. Color me hyped.

Re: Even Mighty No. 9's Developer Thinks the Latest Trailer Is Trash

Majic12

If they could have gotten this out to the public about a year or more ago they may have had a shot. For awhile there Mega Man and the various clones were all the rage and this game was the one people kept talking about as the pinnacle of the mega man style game. Sadly, they have waited to long and capcom smartened up and released that mega man collection, basically making this null and void. When a game or genre is generating positive hype it is important to get it out during that time frame WITHOUT rushing it, if possible. They have missed wirh this game at every turn. I'll pass.

Re: Talking Point: What June PlayStation Plus Free Games Do You Want?

Majic12

Would be awesome if you could pick a couple free movie rentals instead if you didn't like the games that month, that would go a long ways in appeasing the hordes of selfish child gamers who don't understand the value of plus. And for the love of God, please stop asking for Knack, would rather get the original pong than that.

Re: Review: DOOM (PS4)

Majic12

I rented it, and boy am I glad I did. This pure, unadulterated action is what I have been missing from shooters since, well, Wolfenstein New Order, ironically. It is just fun, and with very limited time to spend gaming, the main thing that concerns me when playing any game of any genre is whether or not it is fun. If a games becomes a grind or a chore, why waste my time when there are so many games released or soon to be released that are pure fun? If you haven't tried this yet, or you don't dig shooters, I say give this a try, it is a real eye opener.

Re: Final Fantasy XV's Open World Is Mighty Impressive in New Trailer

Majic12

I don't know, I think you all are being a little harsh. If keeping everyrhing the same was good enough, then they would have, but sales were slowly going down with each iteration. They have the unenviable task of trying to appease the core fans and bringing in a whole new generation of fans to offset the price of development. I honestly think they have poured alot of passion into this one and I expect it to be one of the top 3 games of the year, along with UC 4 and NMS.

Re: Review: Homefront: The Revolution (PS4)

Majic12

Well, considering all the hell this went through in development is exactly why it ended up a hot mess. Shame really, because it had potential, and I am sure when The Division dropped it was a figurative shot in the heart for this game, as the division does everyrhing this game does, only better. Well, better luck next time.

Re: Talking Point: Can Sony Top Its E3 2015 Press Conference?

Majic12

Unless they have some really big surprises in stpre, I don't see how. The Last Guardian by itself was enough to make it one of the more memorable shows. Then you add in Shenmue and everything else, that put it over the top. Unless we get confirmation of a new Crash game along with some killer new IPs and maybe confirmation of No Man's Sky VR compatibility, I don't know if anything can top it.

Re: Review: Shadow of the Beast (PS4)

Majic12

Not really my cup of tea per se, but I truly hope this game sells well for the devs. I really like the idea of bringing back these really old and original games. There are many old classics I would love to see get this kind of treatment. So for the sake of all the forgotten oldies, I hope this game sells like gang busters and developers see an opportunity in bringing back some of the classics that made gaming great in the first place.

Re: Video: Should You Buy DOOM on PS4?

Majic12

I rented it from the redbox, I figure I can plow through the campaign in about 3 nights, return only owing about ten bucks and then pick up uncharted this weekend. I like some Doom, but it's definitely a rental type game for me.

Re: Review: Battleborn (PS4)

Majic12

The biggest problem I have purchasing this is because of how many other great games are releasing right now. Uncharted, Doom, Overwatch, and even some on the Indy front i.e. Shadow Complex. I give gearbox props for trying something new, but another mainline Borderlands would be much more appreciated. Seems like every developer is jumping on the "let's make a game where people will continue to buy cosmetic items and ridiculous in game bonuses" train.

Re: Poll: Are You Enjoying Uncharted 4 on PS4?

Majic12

Will be purchasing it very soon. Been swamped at work so haven't had time to get into any gaming lately, and the little time for gaming I have had has been dedicated to obtaining all the Omega variants in Ratchet and Clank. Just a really fun game.

Re: Consoles Like PS4 Will Die Out Sooner or Later, Reckons EA's Peter Moore

Majic12

Yez, eventually what he is describing WILL happen. Thing is, it is alot farther off than what most folks realize. The majority of console owners do not have high speed internet and it won't be available where the live for a long while. The box makes it usable to anyone with a TV, and there are ALOT of people that have a capable TV but don't have capable Internet to stream large AAA games at a high quality.

Re: Site News: Uncharted 2 Is PlayStation's Greatest Ever Game According to Push Square Readers

Majic12

@ztpayne7 Of course everyone is different, never said we were all the same. I was just under the assumption that everyone really needed to read my personal opinion on the rankings of greatest playstation games:)

@stevie85 Yea opinions and all. I just don't personally feel it. After the shine wore off 20 hours in it became a total slog for me, and mostly boring. The technical achievements and the production quality DID raise the bar, but it just never felt fun playing it. To each his own!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 116

Majic12

Getting the omega variants on all the guns in Ratchet and Clank. I must say, Insomniac has done an incredible job making each gun feel different, and fun to use. Challenge mode is where all the weapons really start to shine and it's been a while since I beat a game and immediately started a second play through to maximize everything on offer. It truly is a steal at 40 bucks and I'll be going for my platinum soon enough!

Re: Review: Shadow Complex Remastered (PS4)

Majic12

Maybe I just missed it while I was reading the article, but where is the price for the game? Knowing that a game is only ten to fifteen bucks usually means I will be a little more lenient on any perceived problems in the game that caused it to be docked some review points. Would be nice if you guys could add the price in on these games that are being reviewed, just to give us context on the expectation of the game.
