It's been a boring few weeks for the Japanese hardware and software charts, and we're afraid that there's no excitement to be found this time around, either. PlayStation 4 sales dropped by about 4000 units, but Sony's latest system still managed to stick to the top spot - that is, if you don't count New 3DS and New 3DS LL numbers as one format.
Still, not a bad display from the PS4 when you consider that there wasn't a single new game released for the current-gen console last week. The only title really worthy of any mention is Konami's cute baseball sim, Jikkyou Powerful Pro Baseball 2016 - which shifted a further 23,936 copies on Sony's machine. Here's hoping that there's more to talk about next week.

Xbox One: "60". Wow, I thought it wasn't that popular over there but that's amazing!
Wow, Kirby is #1 again, and there are 4 Wii U games in the top 20.
Is Japan getting Uncharted 4 this week too?
PS4 virtually has no home console competition at this point. Xbox is into double digits and Wii U is out for the count. It's on it's last home stretch until NX releases in March.
Kirby Robobot #1 for the second week in a row. Honestly that game looks crazy good though. First Kirby game I've ever been excited for

Japanese society is very closed.
they are the biggest racists.
Interesting to see the ps vita baseball game out selling the ps4 baseball game.
Now is the time for Sony to really seize control of that market. If they can get enough of the popular Japanese game franchises to release games on their console and not Nintendo during this flux period between WiiU and NX, they can dominate the market.
I wonder if that baseball game will make it's way over here to the US? Besides MLB, we don't really have decent baseball games for the system...would be nice, even if they resurrect the Bigs titles or if sega brings back their World Series Baseball games.
Back to the topic, it's nice to see PS4 killing all competition, but, if it shows with other generations, it means that the PS4 will get dumped with every game that someone makes (Genesis in the 16 bit era, Playstation One, PS2 and Wii all had the dump games in the past). Anyways, Wii U will still be in it for a little while longer...they have 2 or 3 games coming out by the end of the year, and nintendo will still stay in with the 3DS, as it's getting a bunch of titles this year. Uncharted 4 will dominate when it arrives in Japan
