@JayJ Also all of these numbers they used are self reported and have regulators that do no regulating or policing of this data. Its on the honor system and the word honorable has a restraining order on Ubisoft.

LOL. "outselling heavy hitters like Assassin's Creed Shadows". The game is horrible that is not a hard accomplishment.

It was not outcry. It was pre-order numbers. They were probably horrible. Or it is a sneaky marketing ploy. Make it overpriced. Wait a few weeks. Then drop it. See if pre-orders go over the top as players think they are rewarding a good decision.

Maybe is because I am older now but there is only 1 maybe 2 games a year I buy at launch. I have two much to play and in a year most of them are already half the price they were at launch.

And I can only think of 2 or 3 games in the last 3 years that I played enough to feel if I paid $80 I got my money worth. And Outer Worlds 2 is not going to be that type of game. Games are launching unfinished, bugs and tech issues. My buddy got that Grail game and the screen tearing is so bad he gets headaches playing it. Not a full price game mind you but still.

Mine runs out June 7th. Might be able to take advantage.

@Blaze215 When I was a kid it was very easy to get cigarettes and be under age. It was illegal and regulated. But there was no enforcement or consequences at the time for a business that did not care. Its similar here. It is regulated but what does that mean. It should mean people not part of the process looking into verifying data checking for honestly and accurscy. No one is doing that in practice. They just say its something they are in charge of but never do any of its responsibilities.

@Blaze215 I have seen these comments to and it turns its mostly based on the sales charts it has been leading in. But you know were they get these numbers ? From a business that sells the game ? very few. From Sony ? No. From Microsoft ? No.

They give them to the charts themselves. There has been suggestions over the years these numbers are manipulate by the publishers like Ubisoft for marketing purposes. Because when people see actual sales numbers for titles when they have to report them and it does not add up with supposed success on these charts.

But someone polices these charts to make sure they are legitimate right ? No. The people supposed to have more important things to do apparently. So the numbers are submitted by the publisher. And policed by the same publishers.

A big business would never do anything dishonest to try and make more money....Right ?

Despite attracting over 3 million players in its first week, its sales underperformed compared to industry blockbusters like Monster Hunter Wilds, and its 80% positive Steam rating was overshadowed by criticism over technical issues and historical inaccuracies. Ubisoft reported a 20.5% drop in net bookings to €1,846.4 million, a €92 million loss, and €885 million in non-IFRS net debt, reflecting broader issues with delayed releases and weak titles. Shadows’ inability to fully offset these losses highlights its limited impact on Ubisoft’s dire financial situation.

These best seller and top ten list are mostly marketing with a little truth for credibility. Not just Sony but many platforms do this. I mean Veilguard was on Best Sellers list and really under-performed. I don't think its fair to judge trends or make assumptions about gamers based on these lists.

There is a lot of fake news and twisted numbers about Creed right now. Having whatever million players is not sales. That number includes all the free keys and giveaways they have been doing in record numbers (I got two actually one with a CPU and another in a email from them) . It includes people on Steam that refunded it. It includes the people paying $17.99 for Ubisoft plus. It a few weeks we will see how it really did. And my money is still on huge layoffs for Ubisoft. Such a shame. My desk is covered with Assassins Creed collector edition figurines.

I will mute during Dragon Age. Do not want anything to do with that game.

I think I am moving to PC.

Hard Pass on this one. The devs are not good people.

From the recent stock drop to the Japanese government starting to look into this I am not surprised by this move. I feel this Creed game will have the worst sales in the series.

Gamers are developing a combined ideology for the games they buy. If a good game has certain ideas that they do not like it will not do well. It will only get stronger. Gamers are developing conviction. And with so many options it's very easy to just pass on things now.

I bought it after the disappointing (and reasons I will not get into)showing for the new Creed. I also will get Ronin after. I wonder if others did that as well causing the boost.

When I saw this game announced I was shocked at how quickly it was coming out. Now I know why it was rushed.

I will probably be 60 by then. I think my physical catalog will be enough till I find enternal rest.

I played it on PC when it launched. It was ok. But it ran horribly. And it had forced grouping to see the story.

They have had a ton of patched since then so maybe its better.

I just want a pause button for solo play. Not having that makes the game unplayable for me.

For the sake of game preservative Microsoft needs to let that be made. As well as remasters of American Wasteland and Underground. Then cap them all off with a new game

I know some will disagree but the ability of people to organize and learn about this uncensored on X allowed the number of people fighting this to be too big to ignore. I wonder what else might be achieved with this army of informed people.

You play any of the 100s of games in your backlog and just wait till the end of the year and get it for $39.99

By then cheaper and patched.

@AdamNovice There is a toggle in the settings to auto pickup things. In my opinion that should be on by default.

All the negatives about the open world are huge positives for me. I greatly enjoy mindless and easily found collectibles and activities. I 100% cleared Ragnarok, Odyssey, and Origins and loved it all. Took me dozens of hours adding value to the games.

This sounds like the perfect game for me after a long day and work to just zone out on an open-world game. It's a day one buy for me.

Going to need some heavy modding to fix that game.

I see this attitude a lot right now in entertainment. You keep seeing properties dying and being ruined and handled improperly and the reasons are clear. Yet they double down. Never admitting the real problems. So then we end up with horrible games, TV shows, and movies.

I will wait till it's free before the servers shutdown.

So in 5 years when the servers shut down can I still play the game? I doubt it. Or maybe in 14 years when I put my PS7 away to play some classic PS5 can I play it?

If they release it physically I will buy it instantly

I think the FOMO that causes people to spend this money is an age thing. I used to buy every DLC. In wow I can get every item and holiday pet. Now I just want to play something fun. If some cosmetics cost $100 I just don't care. There is nothing I need to buy if the games are free. I am 100% satisfied playing don't care about looks.

@twitchtvpat I would not. But if you are going to do stuff like this be safe. I would not sleep with dozens of women of the night but if you do wear a jimmy.

Just use a VPN. They are very affordable.

A new mana game was my highlight. And flute guy.

Buy physical media !!!! Sure it sucks having to get up and put a disc in but this will never happen to you.

I moved 100% physical after my Game Pass expired and I could not play half my games. Then my internet went out and my PS5 kept saying I could not play Diablo 2 without a connection.

Also, the shutting down of PS3 services has made me aware it's going to happen to the PS5 someday.

Such a shame love me some X these days.

I am betting on Sony because I feel they are committed to physical media.

My GamePass subscription ran out a few months ago and had been active for years. All of a sudden I could not play some of my games. Then I lost internet a few days later cause of a storm and I could not play my digital games for a day. It was eye opening.

Since then I have invested 3k in my PS5 and purchased 8 years of games I love but bought physical discs. I am only getting physical (for games that do not require a constant internet connection) till physical media dies out entirely. I am done with game subscription services.

Saves me some money.

The play time is too short. I don't see the value in $70 for a fun weekend. I will wait a year till it's in the 34.99 range.

Put it on disc and I will get it

I miss the US game marketing using pretty girls in skimpy clothes. Do not ever change Japan.

I got bored very quickly I guess the game is just not for me. Fell for hype again.

I will wait for the physical copy probably from Limited Run.

I don't play COD because it got expensive. There is a new one every year. The campaign is short and then multiplayer is always short for me. Competition is aggressive and people are rude. And of course cheating.

But if all previous COD and new ones are free on game pass I would play them way more. Also more people to bring back and work on sidelined franchises. Tony Hawk 3-4 remaster and Guitar Hero are on top of my mind. I think there would be a push to get WOW fully converted to a console. These would be huge draws to Xbox and Gamepass.

Can you rewind time that for me makes Forza fun? I just saw there is I am in !!!
