I still don’t see why this needs to exist. The improvements are nice but the game was fine as it was. It didn’t need to be remade.

For as tragic as this whole situation is I can’t help but laugh at it. Like, why blame Kohima in the first place, makes no sense.

“Story is nonsense” those are fighting words.

Why would you want to split sonic 3 and S&K? The games were always meant to be a singular whole. That’s a very weak flaw to give it.

I’m not really surprised by this. When you look back at the series it wasn’t much of a crossover between Final Fantasy and Disney characters to begin with. The final Fantasy characters were always stuck in their own world and outside of Olympus you never saw them in any of the Disney worlds.

They didn’t even handle the Final Fantasy characters that well. All of their backstories were changed and never fully explained. Poor Cloud got it the worst. I don’t know I think leaving the Final Fantasy characters is for the best.

I don’t really see why this needs to exist. The original still plays and looks fine and the remaster is already playable on PS5.

But why though?

Wait is the God of War series based on the original Greek games or are they skipping to the Norse stuff? Cause it seams like a bad idea to skip 5 games of lore and character development.

Say what you want about Sony, they know how to market their games.

I hope the writing has improved because most of Telltales games stuff post Walking Dead was pretty bad.

Does anyone even care about the awards themselves. Even the Game Awards didn’t care about the actual awards.

The one hang up for me is the character designs. They just look so generic and don’t fit with the world of the original Final Fantasy.

I still say FOMO likely contributed a lot in regards to how fast this thing sold.

I feel like these top 10 charts do little to help us tell which games are actually selling well. We need to focus on the raw sales numbers, which are not easy to get unfortunately. May need to work on that.

This should be interesting. It’ll probably suck but it’ll be interesting.

The only games that excited me were the Marvel games. I think I’ve realised that PlayStation just isn’t for me anymore.

Only 40 minutes? I hope there’s a lot of smaller announcements and not just a focus on bigger titles.

I actually don’t mind the card based thing, the only worry I have is whether it’ll involve micro transactions.

I respect them for keeping to their original vision, except the direction it’s taking them appears to be off a cliff.

This feels like Kojima admitting that he screwed up the first game. It looks so much more games now, which I like, but the original release was sold as a wholly unique and different experience, this one feels like he’s trying to appeal to a mass audience and a lot of the gameplay that made it unique looks like it’s been trivialised somewhat.

Does anyone care at this point?

@Intr1n5ic upgrades in tech are not what draws me to a console, the games do. And right now the PS5 has very little to offer. Yes the faster load times are neat but are they worth £450? Not really. They might be to some people but not for everyone.

@Intr1n5ic yeah but all of that is only important to us because we are enthusiasts. The general public probably doesn’t care about any of that. Hell even I don’t care about them that much, not enough to spend £500 on it.

@NEStalgia I’ve been saying for a while that the shortages are creating demand where there really isn’t one. There’s no reason to buy a PS5 right now, not when you have a working PS4. Maybe later on when the exclusives start rolling in, but not right now.

It sounds more like he’s talking about the lack of diversity in gaming due to rising production costs, which I wholeheartedly agree with. Sony focusing so much on blockbusters isn’t good in the long term, it ignores the smaller games that made the brand a household name.

Dreams is such a cool concept but I think MM need to move on. The game doesn’t look like it caught on like Little Big Planet did.

This has no right looking as good as it does.
