The PlayStation Experience press conference really did play to the fans. We got our first look at Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, and Shawn Layden announced the first in a wave of remastered classic first party titles with WipEout: Omega Collection.
A little later in the show, it was confirmed that PaRappa the Rapper is also coming to the PlayStation 4, with a demo available to download right now on the EU PlayStationStore. You can see it in action in the embedded trailer.
But Sony didn't stop there, as it also revealed that two cracking (if mad) PSP games, LocoRoco and Patapon, are being remastered for PS4, too. There aren't any real details right now, but it's great to see Sony shining some light on their exhaustive catalogue of ignored IPs.
Are you excited for these three eccentric games coming to current gen? Check, and turn, the signals to the right in the comments section below.

Ever since playing it again for the first time in nearly twenty years depressed the hell out of me at EGX, I'm so, so excited for Wipeout!!! This gen deserves a good edition of it
It seems that the demo for PaRappa is only on the EU Store at the moment. I can't find it anywhere in the US Store - has anyone else had any luck?
I'm good. PaRappa was interesting in the 90s when there was really nothing else like it, but now it's just cringy.
@Ralizah Boo this man!
All of this digging into old IPs has me crossing my fingers that Legend of Dragoon might someday get some love.
I hope Sony do this to more older IP's. Medievil anyone?
Ya Idk about this. I like rhythm games but... more Rhythm Heaven or Persona 4 Dancing All Night or Theatrhythm.
I hope this, crash, and wipeout prove successfully enough for other ip to return.(legend of dragoon, med evil, spyro and twisted metal come to mind )
@ThroughTheIris56 You read my mind.
Just played the demo, honestly apart from the cutscenes you wouldn't know that this was a PS1 game, looks so clean and sharp which bodes well. Now what would be awesome would be Vib Ribbon that works with my Spotify playlists.
Parappa is one of the game of my childhood, so it's the one I most looking forward to in this ps experience.
There's so much classic ip on ps1 that sony can remaster, it will be great if sony remaking, say, ridge racer 1-5 in 4k for ps4 pro.
@adf86 Cartoony games always fare better than realistic one, just upgrade the resolutions and add anti-aliasing and it will look like new game, not AAA big-budget game of course. Other example: ape escape 2 on ps4.
@Tsurii What is it you don't like about LocoRoco and Patapon? I personally really like all three of these games
@Quintumply I agree...Loco Roco 1 and 2 were my faves on the PSP, and Patapon 1 and 2 was good too. I'm kind of hoping that they re-release more PSP titles, and also bring back some of their other IP's that were forgotten...even some that weren't theirs (Grandia 1, 2, 3, Xtreme, Medievil, Hot Shots Tennis, Klonoa, Wild Arms, Legend Of Dragoon, Folklore, the original Spyro's, Tomba, Croc, ATV Offroad Fury, Jet Moto, Cool Boarders and more).
