There’s always heightened industry excitement surrounding events like E3 2017, and Sony is planning to capitalise on that with Days of Play – a new promotion set to run globally starting 9th June through 17th June. And the platform holder’s detailed a little bit more about what we can expect from the promotional event in North America.
As reported last night, the new Gold 1TB PlayStation 4 Slim will kickstart the offers, launching at a low price of $249.99. It’ll increase to its normal price of $299.99 once the Days of Play promotion is over, so make sure you snap it up quick if you want to save a bit of cash.
But the offers won’t end there, as Sony will also be reducing the price of various PS4 exclusive games, as well as accessories and other items. Here’s what the PlayStation Blog has revealed thus far:
- Slim PlayStation 4 system in Gold with 1TB HDD – $249.99 USD (MSRP)
- DualShock 4 wireless controller (all colors) – $39.99 USD (MSRP)
- Gold Wireless Stereo Headset (Jet Black) – $79.99 USD (MSRP)
- Nioh, Horizon Zero Dawn, MLB: The Show – $39.99 USD (MSRP)
“This campaign is a thank you from us to the passionate PlayStation Community for your unwavering support – it’s all of you that makes PlayStation the Best Place to Play, and led to the huge success of games like Horizon: Zero Dawn,” marketing man John Koller said, while simultaneously rubbing his hands together.
We’ll keep you abreast of all the deals in Europe as soon as we know more, and don’t forget that the discounts will extend to the PlayStation Store as well.

Ohhh Nioh for $40. Hard to pass up!
So those extend to EU?
I'll be keeping an eye on the deals, but I might need to get Nioh.
Wipeout might have to wait till i see what is on offer me thinks
not exactly ground shattering, I'll wait and see, if they want to offer deals then drop the prices of all 1st party titles in a flash sale globally, thank you very much.
I've already got a solid backlog so I don't think I'll be picking up games but I'll probably pick up some replacement controllers at that price.
Similar deals had better be available in Europe!
And since this weekend should be the weekend of a Flash Sale in the US, this could also be good...plus, who knows what kind of sales will be on the Playstation store during E3.
Hmm europe has this too? What's the price of the controller in euros if so
@AFCC Probably €40, since they launched at €60 too, but I feel like Amazon had them for €40 already, so who knows?
Been interested in MLB The Show 17 but held off hoping I could maybe find a sale. What luck!
$39.99 converts to £31.01 sterling , tempting but will hold out for that Magical £28 and a physical copy of Horizon Zero Dawn. £28 for digital and I'd have bitten though.
Nice nows the time to stock up on PS4 controllers.
I might have to get one of those crystal Dualshock 4s now.
Man, all controllers at $40 is sweet. Of the games I guess only Nioh but I am not sure it is for me, and they don't have the demo.
Errr, is there a reason why a UK site quotes prices in dollars aside from an attempt to appeal to readers across the pond?
Also - doesn't seem that great a promotion, are there any EU deals on games or simply a ps4 and controllers which I'm assuming 95% of readers here already have....?
@Galvatron because this site has international readership?
@Octane I need a controller so bad, when I'm playing OW there are two positions on the analog stick that make the characters go snail slow
