FFVII Rebirth Game of the Year. It saddens me seeing its barely in the top ten. Its such an amazing piece of video game.

2024 is indeed an expansion of 2023 so far and upto August it seems.

I expect a price hike. As the reasons the CEO mentioned. Video Games are cheap If one includes the inflation rates over the years. Everything got more expensive but video games. Aside the 10 bucks increase with the current Gen launch.

I had started P3Reload but put it on ice cause of FFVII Rebirth and havent gotten around proceeding it.
Plus I dont count The Last of Us Part 2 in here even though Ive played, platinumed and loved it still.
Gotta catch upon Rise of the Ronin Banishers Ghosts of New Eden and Tekken 8.
Also I refuse to buy any game without 60 frames option so No Dragons Dogma 2 for me.

Nontheless, I think the extended 2023 stops as May hits.
Aside of Wu Long nothing got my interests.

GTA+ subscription service? Is that an actual thing or is it an one day delayed Aprils Fools Day joke?

Even though I prefer FFXVI combat and story, FFVII Rebirth is a highlight this early year. And Im only 8 hours in at the beginning of chapter 4.

I have put Persona 3 Reload to ice and started playing FFVII Rebirth. Its good so far but seems much bigger thank P3 Reload in any way there is. I'll be with the Avalanche for a while now before returning to SEES.

I'm perplexed by the state of gaming.
Everyone has reported record breaking heights yet they all prepare for the "Future"?
Whats the future? Is it the establishment of A.I. into the industry so they get rid of what they consider "dead weight" after that very establishment? Very confusing.
2023 was such an amazing year and 2024 is strong in regard to JRPGs. Its all so contraticting to what has been the Last few years. I just dont get it.

Sony has never been able to support multiple hardware at once. It always surprises me that people are surprised about the lack of support for an additional hardware. And there people asking for a Sony dedicated handheld. And the same reason I consider the PS Portal ideal for Sony and Playstation.

Plot twist: Xbox never planned to go multiplat. They purposely spread fake infos about becoming third party hoping the insiders would leak it, so MS can pretend that they "heard and listened" to the fans and act accordingly and appearing as a pro fans listening company.

Already played it on my Series S. It's a good game for a small project but nowhere near Game of the Year caliber.

Still makes me wonder what the future will hold for gaming as that move would mark historical shift for gaming.

@Splat Pretty sure most people didn't find problems in the combat of The Last of Us Pt. 2 game but sure other things though. The combat is universally respected.

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown is simply amazing. Way to early to talk about GotY but Prince of Persia is my GotY anyways. The best Metroidvania since Hollow Knight.
Shout out to Ubisoft for having a GotY for me every ten years.

Well, wasn't the whole PS Stars time limited until, well now? When I check my PS Stars on the PS App, it is dated as 1.2024.
I was wondering anyways when Sony would update the PS Stars initiative. Adding some stuff, modifying other things as well. I kind of expected an announcement last year.

Having access to the sales of all first party Playstation games is highly interesting. I wish Sony would be as transparent as Nintendo is in that regard. Seeing Sackboy selling over a million is wild to me.

@NotSoCryptic You better stay updated with the leaks. The very recent ones showing Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart has turnt profit.

@Shad361 Well, your expectations were wrong. According to the same leak it did turn a strong profit.

I don't get it still. Naughty Dog has already done both phenomenally. I've got more than 600 hours into Uncharted 4 MP. I happen to love it's gameplay and found it's MP component the best way to experience the gameplay.
Just do the gameplay of The Last of Us Part 2 and couple it with competitive aspect. No fancy ongoing live service groundbreaking industryshaking world shattering nonsense. Just let me experience that amazing gameplay with a competitive component. What a disaster Naughty Dog has become.

@UltimateOtaku91 600k in 3 months equals over 42 million dollars. For a niche game like Returnal, I see why Sony called it a massive game.

Insomniac Games should take a year off. They embarrass their fellow Playstation studios. I'd be very happy getting Marvel's Wolverine in 2025.

Spider-Man 2 is without a doubt a juggernaut. I'm little bit disappointed that Alan Wake 2 ain't higher though. What an amazing experience is was. Can't wait for the DLCs - for both, Alan Wake 2 and Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
This year is so good it carries its goodness into next year.
