Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for March 2025?

Very happy we are getting Dragon Age Veilguard, got some solid reviews and seems like a great RPG. Will also be playing some Sonic Colours, don't usually play Sonic games but after completing Frontiers it's made me want to try more of the series.

Dragon age inquisition was the first game I bought for PS4. Ended up selling it for 20$ to buy The Witcher 3. It was really shallow and meaningless compare to original. Nothing had point. From what I've read, this new one is everything wrong with inquisition times 10. So no, It's not a good month for me but hey, I think sony did a good job.

Ah good, another opportunity for certain people to tell us how much they hate Dragon Age: The Veilguard and that they can't stop thinking about it. Maybe they'll even refer to it as the FailGuard which is definitely still hilarious and not tired and unimaginative at all.

I'm a little burned because I bought Veilguard full price. But objectively it's a much better month than they normally have.

Not everyone is going to enjoy Veilguard, but hopefully this is a chance for the people who would enjoy it to give it a try. It's not a top tier RPG, but there are plenty of game not at the top tier which are still enjoyable.

Already have Sonic Colors on XBox disc and Cowabunga Collection on PS5 disc so this month is definitely not for me. And that’s okay, I’m not complaining! I can’t lick out with games I don’t already own every time, plus it’s nice to keep the discs on the shelf while I have my subscription.

Its a great month

I put mostly happy, because I’m tired of Sonic/Sega and would have rather seen just about any indie game in that spot. Besides that another great month for sure.

I do hope folks will take the opportunity to actually try Dragon Age Veilguard as it's better than it's given credit for

That said for me personally this is just another rubbish month with nothing I will play on my PS5.

I own Veilguard on Xbox, have 100 hours and multiple playthroughs already. I have no reason to do that again just because i now have access to it on my PS5.

No interest at all in the other two games.

I would vote mostly happy if i didn't own Cowabunga collection. But i voted meh they're okay because i'm not interested with DAV and that's left Sonic Colors.

@OldSchoolHeel I really disliked Inquisition. I really enjoyed Veilguard.

Cowabunga collection for me. Just finished TMNT2 on game boy a couple weeks ago. Cant wait for tuesday!

Yeah, this is great. I had no interest in Dragon Age as a purchase, but as a free download I am excited to give it a go.

The TMNT collection is also cool. I've played a couple of those and they're fun.

I just bought Veilguard for $20 on clearance so oops on me. I don't really care about the other stuff. I played the turtles games when they were new.

I liked every Dragon Age except the first one so Veilguard is a good addition.

Couldn't pay me to play Veilguard, let alone install it for free. Look forward to seeing Avowed on next month's list. Might try Turtles In Time though!

@OldSchoolHeel I got Inquisition with my PS4 and I was excited when I saw the trailers and what not. I've never been so bored in my entire life playing that game, combat was repetitive and the fact everyone did the same moves omg. No one had any variety except your own character with the special move you would get as your progressed, the pacing was slow as well and I'm with you I will never touch another ever again

I would have been really happy, had I not purchased Dragon Age about 12 days ago. That's ok, this is actually a really good month and is a nice improvement over the last few. I am really enjoying Dragon Age so far.

I was thinking about purchasing DA Veilguard this week and then saw it was going on PS+ so I'm definitely pleased as it saved me 20 quid.

@Westernwolf4 this is what baffles me, I keep hearing from people about the writing in Inquisition is so much superior, as well as everything else. I have to admit I haven't finished it, but the basic premise is pretty lackluster, and about 15 hours in I'm not seeing what the big deal is. The combat is so frustrating having to constantly wait for your stamina to recharge. I am finding the story, writing, and combat in Veilguard far superior.

Absolutely Happy. This is the type of generic mid release that should be in such an overpriced sub system. We should be getting newer/release window titles entering the library on the regular. Veilguard is that perfect game where many won't buy it full price due to its shortcomings, but still wanted to give it a try.

It's important to note that Sony is raking in at least 2 billion dollars a year since splitting into tiers and raising the prices to these ridiculous price points. That's just factoring the amount of subs for essential in 2023..... Add the other tiers and rest of their revenue.... Tens of billlions.

So spare Me the argument that little old Sony can't invest a little coin in getting new third party games to release in one of those tiers regularly.

Fantastic month for me. 3 games I don't own and 3 games I will play.

@iDreamwalker I think Veilguard is leaps and bounds ahead of Inquisition. You should give it a fair shot and decide for yourself.

Inquisition is one of my all time favorite games so I’m looking forward to playing Veilguard in full.

I loved all the past DA games, and Veilguard was always on my list. I was holding on to my PS Wallet balance for DA:V to go on sale, and this month turned out to be pretty big surprise. Totally unexpected, if I may. It has only raised the expectations for PS Premium offerings coming up later this month!

No Way!? That's amazing, i never think they will put a game like Sonic Colors in the PS+ selection so soon.

@jgrangervikings1 i hope concord comes back for free, it had potential and i actually liked it. the artstyle was atrocious and levels were bland but , hey, it was something else for me to play! and it didnt play bad!

@KillerIsD34D Sonic Colors is a bottom tier 3D sonic game so its really not all that surprising

Dragon age looks very tacky but I'll put it way in the back of my backlog in the case that I get stranded on an island where for some reason I have a playstation setup... so never

I am very happy with this selection. I won't try Veilguard since I am playing Avowed.

@OldSchoolHeel I think and hope you will be pleased. A lot of people liked DAI, and no offense to them, but I found that game incredibly boring. I gave it a good 30 hours too, it just never clicked with me.

Like you, I wasn’t even going to check out DAV as a result, but I am glad I did. I found both the combat and the characters much more compelling than Inquisition.

@Steeleye50 I agree. As I mentioned above, I gave DAI a lot of hours. I really wanted to like it. But I was really bored the entire time.

I am glad for the folks that liked DAI, but it was not for me.

I picked up veilguard on pc day one but preferred the console controls and couch perspective. Glad I held off on a second purchase, coupled with ninja turtles this month is absolutely stellar.

@jgrangervikings1 considering plus is a requirement for online play, these titles are worth several months at least. Say what you will about veilguard, but it is a quality title that has decent gameplay. Then you have ninja turtles and frankly if you’re over 30 you need to play this one, as it takes you back to the classic days of the arcade games and SNES. It’s really a good month.

@nomither6 I’ll remember it as the seizure simulator at launch. Whatever sega’s quality control was, it could have been disastrous. Became half decent after the fix but good lord.

Glad to give DAV a try. I already have Sonic and all the TMNT roms I need, but this is a good variety for people.

Really disappointed. I don't see why we keep getting these failures as some kind of bonus. Give us good games not just flops. No interest in Sonic or DAV and I already own TMNT. Its honestly been a while since I have actually grabbed one of the monthly games.

Don't listen to the haters DA veilguard is a great game.

I had zero intention of buying veilguard for a few reasons but I'll try it for faux free as quite a lot of people who's opinions I respect and value have told me it's a solid arpg. If it's a load of tosh I'll just delete it. It's a good month for me.

Stupid question but does Sony use data when selecting the games? For instance, do they look at installs over library additions? This is the first month in years that I don't own any of the games, which is great 😀

There's only one good games in there, tmnt collection, sonic colors is just okay, and I don't even want to put da failguard on my library.

DA is an ok series, although I haven’t played VG, it was fun in a PG13 tone. It seems they went too safe this time as you really can’t be evil. Eh, may give it a go during the next crisis or next week.

Great, but I own all the games except Sonic Colors. Glad for everyone that all these are new for. Great month overall.

I'm not happy with being forced to pay a subscription for the only online game I play. Planning to move to Steam Deck only for this reason.

I actually enjoyed Veilguard. It's not as bad as people make out.

Top tip: Turn Bloom off in the options for a much sharper looking experience.

Veilgard was a good chunk down my list of games, but getting it for free means I'll check it out much sooner!
And I like sonic enough to play around for a handful of nostalgia hours.
AND I grew up on and will absolutely blast through a good selection of the TMNT stuff.

A 3/3 keep for me is rare.
Could it have been better? Yea it can always be better. That's how life works.
