We haven't thought about World of Goo in what feels like an eternity, but now its direct sequel is bringing the series to PlayStation for the first time very soon.
Yes, World of Goo 2 has now been confirmed for release on PS5, and it's right around the corner, launching on 25th April, 2025.
Much like the original, this sequel is all about using sentient blobs of goo to build bridges and other constructions in order to reach the exit of each stage.
It's a physics-based puzzler that features various new goo types in this second instalment, as well as a new story to follow across over 60 stages.

The original game never made it into the PlayStation sphere, while World of Goo 2 first arrived on Nintendo Switch and PC in August of last year.
Nintendo Life rated it an 8/10, praising the liquid-based physics challenges, presentation, and some standout chapters that elevate the experience.

Wasn't expecting this to make its way over.
Thats pretty neat
I was really excited and looking forward to this. I bought the first one at least twice, possibly 3 times. Then I saw the price. I know inflation is a thing so the sequel wasn't going to be $10 like the original but $30 digital is just too much. $30 on a Switch cart w/ the Switch tax is one thing, but $30 digital? No.
I know you PS people always say prices don't matter for reviews but just an FYI for anyone interested.
