Re: Soapbox: Playing The Persistence As My First Ever PSVR Experience

GarySan

@Elodin I don't have one yet but intend on grabbing one when Dreams release. Having used Minecraft VR regularly for quite some time using my mobile phone with Riftcat (an app that allows you to use your phone as a Vive) which have extremely strong lag, blur and poor fps, I find that I have overcome VR motion sickness. At first it was really bad, could only play for about 5 minutes before I begin feeling very uncomfortable, But now I can go long hours after regular use. So it's something you can train yourself to get used to.

Re: Hello Games to Continue Supporting No Man's Sky with Weekly Updates

GarySan

Great work by Sean Murray and team. Personally I really enjoy the game, and this new update will further occupy me for long time to come. With that said I think the graphics do look a bit dated, especially after trying out Sea of Thieves. Am hoping at some point there'd be some huge graphical overhaul, even if it means releasing a sequel.

Re: Sony's Secret Smartphone Hit Now a Billion Dollar Business

We need a PS4 exclusive AA/AAA quality game already for Fate Grand Order. Please Sony! Don't just focus on Western AAA exclusives. Maximise your home base and Asia cultural influence to develop and publish more high quality exclusive Japanese games! It is one huge advantageous differentiator you have over the American Xbox, and it will give you a fighting chance in handheld over Nintendo in the near future.

Re: Sony Under Fire Again as Paladins Gets Cross-Platform Play on All But PS4

GarySan

What Sony should be doing really is allow for Cross Play in America, but ban cross play from happening anywhere else in the world if possible. The biggest disadvantage for Sony allowing cross play is enabling Xbox to tap into audiences where they barely exist (Asia, Middle East, Europe etc...). Hence they should double down on making reputable first party franchise and IPs like Nintendo, and open up cross play in US only to make them seem less like the bad guy.

Re: Talking Point: How Can Sony Win E3 2018?

GarySan

Here's how: Up the value of PS Plus. Announcement of Bundling of PS Now with PS Plus to prepare for the future of game streaming to not give MS any leading advantage whatsoever. Bring PS Now to Android and IOS. Bloodborne 2. Announcement Date for Dreams and show off it's mind blowing capabilities. Michel Ancel showing up on stage after Hideo Kojima (Death Stranding) to update and reignite WiLD. More new exclusive IPs and content.

This should warrant further victory for Playstation as a brand. MS recently have purchased quite a few studios known to be working on quite a few big budget games, and they'll be focusing on original IPs moving forward with Game Pass and Azure game streaming. The goal is be a step ahead of MS, continue to maintain and expand on the current market share over competitors further solidifying the Playstation Ecosystem.

Re: Media Molecule's Dreams Is Absurdly Innovative

GarySan

What MM have created here is truly groundbreaking. This is not just any voxel based engine, it's their own unique engine they single handedly invented and made from ground up. We have not seen anything like it, never. Alex Evan and his team are geniuses. Reading through all their published papers on the way they came up with the idea you really come to appreciate how amazing and tight knit Media Molecule is as a studio. All of this wouldn't have been possible without 100% trust amongst the studio members and support from a fantastic publisher. Mark my words, Dreams Engine will not be limited to casual gaming use, it will become a fully professional game engine in the near future used by other gaming studios.

Re: Media Molecule's Dreams Is Absurdly Innovative

GarySan

@meltendo Thanks for bringing this up. I believe this will happen. I'm a regular on Reddit and there are already many people with ideas want to create Azeroth, Mario etc etc... There's no doubt some contents will be removed due to copy right. However people will most probably find ways around it

Re: Media Molecule's Dreams Is Absurdly Innovative

GarySan

@smelly_jr Do It's good to use Dreams while you learn those programs. Unity and Unreal engines are very difficult, even if you know how to use it it takes a great amount of time to make a polished quality game. For comparison if you want to make a same game you created in Dreams with Unity you'll probably take 500x longer.

Re: Review: PixelJunk Monsters 2 (PS4)

GarySan

I've been playing it a little bit of the PC. Personally I find it to be a disappointment compared to the first, but it's still fun nonetheless playing it with my little nephews.

Re: Sony: We're Exploring What Our Customers Want from Portable Gaming

GarySan

No over price memory card nonsense. No missing buttons (R2 L2 R3 L3). Improve the ergonomics somehow. Improve upon the Vita OS. Get rid of the camera and rear touch screen but keep the front one. QHD-4K screen like the phone with HDR supporting Dolby audio. Release a cheaper VR headset which can slot in the new portable console.

Re: H1Z1: Battle Royale Is Blowing Up Big Time on PS4

GarySan

I think they did a very smart job releasing this game. They took out a lot of things from the PC version and made it run pretty smoothly on the console (though there are still glitches). Hopefully the game can maintain the momentum and garner enough support, because I'm sure the developers will look to add features of PC back into console version slowly, and improve that draw distance (fog) most people are complaining about.

Re: Watch Deacon Take on the Horde in New Days Gone PS4 Gameplay

GarySan

Hopefully in the release version the zombies take more than one bullet to kill, they all seem too easy to kill and it reminds me of Dynasty Warrior hordes. Would also be nice to have more physical varieties of zombies where some might be losing an arm, leg shorter, fatter etc... I guess the downside to this horde mechanic is that the zombies are quite dumbed down in terms of physics and interaction. But there's still plenty of time before release so am eagerly waiting.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 Gets a Brilliant New Story Trailer

GarySan

I'm a little surprised. I thought the game would look better considering it's from Rockstars, who obviously have been raking it in like crazy with GTA V. I really liked the first one so I'll still buy it for the story but hopefully this won't be a disappointment. And pray to God there won't be microtransactions -__-
