Some media and companies get affected while others don't.... e.g. Ive been under the impression Konami couldnnot afford the big commercial football league licenses like the premier league yet a company like Soccer Managet Ltd who make Soccer Manager on mobile have all the top European leagues fully licensed they have the premier league completely in full up to league 2 level. How can that small dev afford full EPL, Laliga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1,Seria a and all European leagues licenses wheras Konami have not been able to for almost the entire existence of pes.

Rockstar have made and are making more money from GTA online than all the copies of all GTA games that have ever been pirated.
Gran Torismo has been on 2 console and clise to zero piracy in its history yet today its basically an online only/ semi-streamed game. No hacker forced polyphony to paywall the game but greed.

WHY? pretty simple: It is the game that saved the PS3's disastrous launch. It is the game that changed PS3's tide and saved Sony from being devoured by XBOX 360. This is the game that single handendly stopped Microsoft taking over the gaming industry. It is a PS3 system seller. This is the game that brought back and cemented the status of single player games when the entire industry was already heading towards online mp, mmo, f2p, mtxs, LOOT BOXES and GAAS.
Also the game seriously made a mock of the "PS3 IS HARD TO PROGRAM FOR" as after this game no one could make that excuse for releasing a subpar game.
Oh and the game was out of this world, absolutely jaw dropping and unbelievable.

The opening train level and the YETTI level have not been reached or topped to this day.

Yep you are 100% correct, these are the mobile versions with the original soundtrack track listing shortened, they then just bumped the resolution to HD at best with some minor lighting bump, then just adjusted the control scheme to the current GTA5 version then slapped Remaster Definitive Triology on the title and put ps5 game price tag and called it a day. Knowing fully well there is a GTA hunger as shown by GTA beein on weekly and monthly charts for close to 9 years now.
This now is Rockstar milking the cow and then milking the milk...... This is now the new level of milking............

Not necessarily supporting piracy but try to relay that the PC space is pretty much jungle where games are subject to anything pretty much from full price, discount, free and free to play to completely free via piracy for example fifa needs ea's origin and always on line connection yet there are people and places that sell fifa completely playable on line with the ceveat of not being able to play Ultimate Team.
Some people may say it's a small market or whatever but I title that sell 20 million minimum has +- 5 to 10 million sales lost to that. This is why GTA has sold more on console than PC even though PC has larger numbers of gamers in terms of people activity using their PCs for gaming.
There is a reason Nintendo games generally top the charts outside of AAA games and some Sony first party titles, and it's because you only find Nintendo games on a Nintendo system and if you don't have a Nintendo system then it means you don't necessarily like their taste of games simple as that.
Nintendo systems are technically less power full than others which would imply their production values and most likely dev cost are lower which would imply they are making more money than anybody on their games in terms of cost vs profit, hence they are able to keep game prices at launch values through a games life cycle without the need to quickly discount games to attract sales to meet production costs as Sony have been doing. These makes Nintendo games thus valuable to the consumer who sees value in their game no droping halve in value a month after launch and profitable to Nintendo, which makes Nintendo able to focus on game quality over quantity and not needing to port their games to other systems for some extra cash grab.
Pockeman Go was very lucrative for Nintendo yet they've never ported it to any other system trying to cash grab.
I bet breath of the wild will likely sell more Switches than HZFW and Ragnarok will sell PS5's apart from people who had already planed to get one.

Review scores are what makes or breaks games and hence shape the industry in terms of what games becomes a success and hence what game keep being made.

They always say this every year: OH Fifa..... has nice graphics, avarage animations, Great User Interface, Back of the box new bullet point buzz words that have nothing to do with the game play except marketing, EA spent a boat on monopolosing football lisencenses to crush the competition, the game has vanity game modes, the game has a neglected career mode...

The game play was crap from the samenes of small time enemies, to the not so well implemented Axe which was saved by the blades of chaos, to the corridors level design as it made the world bland. The detailed graphics and Atreus storyline are what saved the game

Movie making is about nothing more than shotting a lot of multiple angle shots or films or videos and then putting them all in sequence via editing and calling it a motion picture .........
Game making nowadays especially at AAA studio's is mostly about having the correct tools (i.e. game engines, graphics tools, texture tools, etc). This leads to the majority of time spent making a game being devoted to graphics alone with everything else coming after the graphics, a simple case of this example is CP2077. The team spent so much time try to get the graphics correct that the rest of the game got neglected hence the mess that was released.
In the case of GOW2018 your can see from the graphics, gameplay, level and mission design that SSM spent a majority of the 5 years they claim the game took on the graphics which results in the game being split into 2 parts and the SSM feeling burnt out when thinking of making a third game.
Which is also puzzling why the second game has to take another 5 years when the game assets have already been built.
For example it took Insomianic 2 years to make Miles Morales from the assets of Spiderman and in the 5 years period that SSM will take to make GOW Ragnarok, Insomniac would have made and released two games from the same assets and 1 game from scratch in Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart.

Same with gaming, we have way too many overpriced developers, hence making development cost rise up, yet the games output is not even half of the ps1 games output.
The problem with the industry is way too many expensive tools (e..g your speed trees and all such tools).
For example God 2018 is filled with stupid and useless puzzles that SSM spent a lot of time on but are completely not necessary to the game to the point that u can skip and not miss anything, which part of the 5 years was wasted on useless puzzle parts of the games. If they cut that probably the game would have taken at least 3years to make. It's the paddling parts of most games that waste development time.
So looking at the new game trailer it actually looks more like dlc or expansion than a sequel, which means they could have easily told the entire story in the first game but chose to break up the story into a duology and making it seem that they don't want to stretch out the story over 3 games when in truth it was supposed to be only 1 game.........

Yeah i remember when the Ps2 what out absolutely killing it, a friend of mine jokingly talked about oh the ps3 and Ps4 and Ps5 were going to be even better, I said to him nonsense with the way gaming was then I said there was no need and they would never be a needfor another playstation system and joked it off. @0niguy.... All I will say to and the other guy is that in 2002 when the Ps4 launched and I was playing Gran Torismo 3. I thought nothing I gaming could be better, I thought this was it in terms of what I will ever need in term of technology when it comes to gaming, it was heaven.

AFTER Odyssey I am not sure if I am ever going to buy Valhalla as I don't need or want an Odyssey sized journey, so it would have been nice after Odyssey to launch the old school smaller sized more social stealth assissins creed game like Forza and Forza Motorsport.

But then again those awards shows also included a lot of fan involvement and Sony has over 100million+ Ps4's in the wild which muddles those awards shows whereas Dice is the industry pros with no gamers involved which is why I expected more balance and truer recognition.

Sometimes I wish all awards were like the Maths fields price or the Nobel price where you only get recognized for the work done and not being award just because it's a yearly thing that needs to happen. I mean if we get a year where there no GOTY level games then there should not be a single GOTY award awarded for that year, but that would not happen as award shows are in onthemselvr in that the awards exist to give out an award irregardless of whether there is someone deserving or not.
For example irregardless of the story or gamePLay or whatever, TLOU2 did move gaming forward with the game not locked or limited to being played by seeing able body players only but its probably one of the first game to both cater to able bodied players and players with disability(in this case blind players) and this was something to be recognized, the game should been awards for this as this moves gaming forward and make it an inclusive industry. So the fact that we have CP2077 in the nominations means things like this TLOU2 disable player inclusivity are not even being looked at by industry and broken, unfinishesd, false advertised game is more importany to the industry pro hence the state we have been in since the end of the ps3 generation of releasing games with serious bugs and day 1 patches

Sound is the most important thing in GTA game itnis intertwined to the detail and attention to setail of the game...............
The game is nit the same without sound, whethet its the general sound effects e.g. environment sound, NPc sound, location sound etc and most importantly the radio soundtrack........
So do you really play GTA on mute? , cause if you don't then this also matters you and affects you otherwise you are lieing just like everyone who says it doesn't matter......
Its like playing Gran Torismo or any racing game were a porsche or ferrari or lamborghini sound like a beetle...... It make s a lot of difference.

Yep you are 100% correct, these are the mobile versions with the original soundtrack track listing shortened, they then just bumped the resolution to HD at best with some minor lighting bump, then just adjusted the control scheme to the current GTA5 version then slapped Remaster Definitive Triology on the title and put ps5 game price tag and called it a day. Knowing fully well there is a GTA hunger as shown by GTA beein on weekly and monthly charts for close to 9 years now.
This now is Rockstar milking the cow and then milking the milk...... This is now the new level of milking............

This is nothign by an HD cash grab its not even justifyable as a remaster.
It is just an HD rematser for ps5, just bumped the res a bit to HD and added slight lightning pellette and called it a day.
The are PC mods that have been released on PC that look 1000 times bettet that this pile if dung from Rockstar.
It wad suspicious when Sam Houser left Rockstar, its now clear the company has lost its soul. They are now no different from EA or Activision or Konami. Only the name is left.

Not necessarily supporting piracy but try to relay that the PC space is pretty much jungle where games are subject to anything pretty much from full price, discount, free and free to play to completely free via piracy for example fifa needs ea's origin and always on line connection yet there are people and places that sell fifa completely playable on line with the ceveat of not being able to play Ultimate Team.
Some people may say it's a small market or whatever but I title that sell 20 million minimum has +- 5 to 10 million sales lost to that. This is why GTA has sold more on console than PC even though PC has larger numbers of gamers in terms of people activity using their PCs for gaming.
There is a reason Nintendo games generally top the charts outside of AAA games and some Sony first party titles, and it's because you only find Nintendo games on a Nintendo system and if you don't have a Nintendo system then it means you don't necessarily like their taste of games simple as that.
Nintendo systems are technically less power full than others which would imply their production values and most likely dev cost are lower which would imply they are making more money than anybody on their games in terms of cost vs profit, hence they are able to keep game prices at launch values through a games life cycle without the need to quickly discount games to attract sales to meet production
costs as Sony have been doing. These makes Nintendo games thus valuable to the consumer who sees value in their game no droping halve in value a month after launch and profitable to Nintendo, which makes Nintendo able to focus on game quality over quantity and not needing to port their games to other systems for some extra cash grab.
Pockeman Go was very lucrative for Nintendo yet they've never ported it to any other system trying to cash grab.
I bet breath of the wild will likely sell more Switches than HZFW and Ragnarok will sell PS5's apart from people who had already planed to get one.

@CynicalGamer..... I don't think the reaction is dramatic..... I mean by the same logic why would anyone buy a Ps5 to play Ragnarok when it will be free on PC in 2025 with all bells and whistles and mods....... So how does that help the new title and the new Console.
Personally it's a slap in the face for life long loyal playstation fans.
I mean why do we still need a Nintendo system to play any Mario bar Mario run or any Zelda game. Cause Nintendo are loyal to their fan base, that's why the after the ps2/ps2 Era they run away with the Japan market from Sony.
I mean if I knew these game were going to come to PC I would not have wasted my money the Ps4 pro in 2018, I would have just waited and bought a 3080/3090 and played the games for free via piracy. I don't buy games offline games on PC cause can easily pirate them for free or get them for less than 10 dollars at launch

Review scores are what makes or breaks games and hence shape the industry in terms of what games becomes a success and hence what game keep being made.
If reviews and review scores didn't matter then then we would probably have Days Gone approved for a sequel by Sony.
And if reviews and review scores did not have any effect Pes would not be a paid Free To Play title, i.e. We would not have a monopoly in the Football gaming genre ...
And if reviews and reviews scores did not matter then PushSquare would not exist.

I fully agree with you. PUSHSQUARES reviews are as unbalanced as the people still in denial that CP77 is crap game that was released bugged and unfishined.
Fifa always reviews the same each year yet never falls below 8 in the PushSquare reviews.
They always say this every year:
OH Fifa.....
has nice graphics, avarage animations, Great User Interface, Back of the box new bullet point buzz words that have nothing to do with the game play except marketing, EA spent a boat on monopolosing football lisencenses to crush the competition, the game has vanity game modes, the game has a neglected career mode...
But we like the Ultimate Team mode here at PushSquare so we will give an 8 for that......
That how the FIFA review goes each year.
But they are so nitpick on all other games.
Just wish the brutality was consistent across all reviews......

The game play was crap from the samenes of small time enemies, to the not so well implemented Axe which was saved by the blades of chaos, to the corridors level design as it made the world bland. The detailed graphics and Atreus storyline are what saved the game

Movie making is about nothing more than shotting a lot of multiple angle shots or films or videos and then putting them all in sequence via editing and calling it a motion picture .........
Game making nowadays especially at AAA studio's is mostly about having the correct tools (i.e. game engines, graphics tools, texture tools, etc). This leads to the majority of time spent making a game being devoted to graphics alone with everything else coming after the graphics, a simple case of this example is CP2077. The team spent so much time try to get the graphics correct that the rest of the game got neglected hence the mess that was released.
In the case of GOW2018 your can see from the graphics, gameplay, level and mission design that SSM spent a majority of the 5 years they claim the game took on the graphics which results in the game being split into 2 parts and the SSM feeling burnt out when thinking of making a third game.
Which is also puzzling why the second game has to take another 5 years when the game assets have already been built.
For example it took Insomianic 2 years to make Miles Morales from the assets of Spiderman and in the 5 years period that SSM will take to make GOW Ragnarok, Insomniac would have made and released two games from the same assets and 1 game from scratch in Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart.

@WallyWest... Movie making is as complex as a Michael Bay film or a Quinton Tarantino film........ So nothing James Cameron has ever done is even remotely complex.......... So make it seem complex so they can gate keep the industry...........................
Same with gaming, we have way too many overpriced developers, hence making development cost rise up, yet the games output is not even half of the ps1 games output.
The problem with the industry is way too many expensive tools (e..g your speed trees and all such tools).
For example God 2018 is filled with stupid and useless puzzles that SSM spent a lot of time on but are completely not necessary to the game to the point that u can skip and not miss anything, which part of the 5 years was wasted on useless puzzle parts of the games. If they cut that probably the game would have taken at least 3years to make. It's the paddling parts of most games that waste development time.
So looking at the new game trailer it actually looks more like dlc or expansion than a sequel, which means they could have easily told the entire story in the first game but chose to break up the story into a duology and making it seem that they don't want to stretch out the story over 3 games when in truth it was supposed to be only 1 game.........

Yeah i remember when the Ps2 what out absolutely killing it, a friend of mine jokingly talked about oh the ps3 and Ps4 and Ps5 were going to be even better, I said to him nonsense with the way gaming was then I said there was no need and they would never be a needfor another playstation system and joked it off. I was shocked when they announced ps3.

@0niguy.... All I will say to and the other guy is that in 2002 when the Ps4 launched and I was playing Gran Torismo 3. I thought nothing I gaming could be better, I thought this was it in terms of what I will ever need in term of technology when it comes to gaming, it was heaven.

AFTER Odyssey I am not sure if I am ever going to buy Valhalla as I don't need or want an Odyssey sized journey, so it would have been nice after Odyssey to launch the old school smaller sized more social stealth assissins creed game like Forza and Forza Motorsport.
Thus would take the series to new heights and would keep it fresh

I can tell you without a shofow of a doubt people would be disappointed if it's Sons Of Liberty and it would probably bomb.
You can even ask Push Square to do A poll, Sons of Liberty was a disappoint.
It's futuristic outlook is only highleted ed or looked at as good because entire game except the opening level was just a shambols, you must remember also this was a PS2 launch title and was hyped to the next closest Solar system and also was the most anticipated PS2 games.

I also can't disagree with you on the other awards shows, as much as I love Sony and being a fully fledged PS fan boy, all of them became Sony Mascot shows its like they were afraid to say to Sony "your games are fantastic but someone else did a better game". But then again those awards shows also included a lot of fan involvement and Sony has over 100million+ Ps4's in the wild which muddles those awards shows whereas Dice is the industry pros with no gamers involved which is why I expected more balance and truer recognition.
But at least they didn't bow down to Sony.
But then again isn't DICE give Miles a totally underserd awards also then bending over backwards to Sony as in like: " We didn't give TLOU2 the gong like all other awards shows, but we gonna give Spiderman cause we know you have lots of cash invested in it and it's a media darling and fan favorite" , So they are still pandering to Sony like the other awards shows as Miles had no business being nominated for anything and CP2077 should never have even been included or considered, cause are Dice as industry pros saying its okay to release unfinished mess as games, that to me makes these awards controversial and invalid like Luca Modric winning the Player of the year or Ronald and Messi being exclusive winners of the shambolic Barlodon for a decade as no one could win it except for CR7 or Messi.
This is scandalous.
Sometimes I wish all awards were like the Maths fields price or the Nobel price where you only get recognized for the work done and not being award just because it's a yearly thing that needs to happen. I mean if we get a year where there no GOTY level games then there should not be a single GOTY award awarded for that year, but that would not happen as award shows are in onthemselvr in that the awards exist to give out an award irregardless of whether there is someone deserving or not.
For example irregardless of the story or gamePLay or whatever, TLOU2 did move gaming forward with the game not locked or limited to being played by seeing able body players only but its probably one of the first game to both cater to able bodied players and players with disability(in this case blind players) and this was something to be recognized, the game should been awards for this as this moves gaming forward and make it an inclusive industry. So the fact that we have CP2077 in the nominations means things like this TLOU2 disable player inclusivity are not even being looked at by industry and broken, unfinishesd, false advertised game is more importany to the industry pro hence the state we have been in since the end of the ps3 generation of releasing games with serious bugs and day 1 patches
