The craziest thing in gaming in 2020 is that western games are so addicted to User Interfaces..... It's also the one thing that Fifa gets praised for and Pes gets shat on every single year...... Like what gaming experience or value do you get from the UI........

If the UI is so important then The Witcher 3 should get a massive downgrade in its rating cause it has one of the s****iest UI in gaming yet no one bat's an eye on it...... But it's all doom and gloom cause Sony has not show the Ps5 UI

I think Sony should just troll the UI moaners and release the Ps5 almost like no UI like the ps1 and just have the game menu pop up when u insert the disc or have an icon for game for the digital stuff then one icon for social media(internet etc), one icon for then connection (USB, extra SSD or hhd ect) and then a last icon for PSN(PS store, PS plus, PS now) and leave it like to just piss off even more all the UI entitled moaners

Sony is suffering for being absolutely top of the game for 25 freaking years and it's like only have to keep raising the bar... What about the others......... Surely forced Drm and PR good market and consumer brownie scoring point s on the price but it's still DRM and this is what MS have come up with after a generation of time to innovate and raise the bad.... @BKNets.... Yeah something very wrong with the cpu in the Ps4. MY PRO Actually runs quiet when playing RDR2 but become a fighter jet when playing Pes 2020...iys weird.....

The problem is the from December when the game was first shown not the publisher nor the developer mentioned anything about the game requiring always online connectivity....... We now only know that because they were asked on Twitter to verify........ That is shady dealing with your potential customers.....

@NEStalgia... Very true in that they each take turns and no one is a savior.... I suppose I personally consider them a sort of a savior because for me they have been my access to be still be gaming otherwise I would stuck with mobile vapour ware gaming or playing old games or not gaming at all........... I'm not into the Nintendo catalogue so it would not make sense to buy a Nintendo console only for Zelda...... For me to game with Microsoft would need unaffordable internet connectivity (I live in South Africa and the internet is priced as a luxury product, very expensibe)........ To then game on PC would mean I would at best be playing 2010 to 2014(and a small number of 2015 and some 2016 games) as gaming pcs are expensive and we just settle for standard entry level pc. Hence on my side the PS then becomes the common lowest denominator in terms of pricing and accessibility which they are a savior to me personally..........

It is sad that all people who made PS what it was have left so I suppose Mark Cerny is last one standing (I know he was not original PS but he was at Naughy when Sony
bought them in the early days.. If I still remember correctly........please do mention if I'm wrong about this)

As for Jim Ryan..... He is proof as you say that the Sony we knew died a few years back cause who hired the guy..... And PS exclusives now moving to PC

It looks like they are slowly shutting down the console division and preparing to have a PS storefront like Steam and Epic....... Maybe if the Xbox has record launch sales still will kick Sony into gear... But I am afraid that if MS gains ground it will not be the Ps3 Era comeback again cause I personally think that if Ms gets the right grip on the market by the time Sony tries to do anything gaming may have moved on from the traditional physical home console and accelerating towards the online/streaming Era which Sony in terms of infrastructure are so far behind they will not be able to compete........

@dbunny........ Wow absolutely great points... You have given me another perspective at looking at the situation another way...... Looking at those sub numbers if they can achieve them maybe MS will give their studio room to create quality games which will definitely make Gampass absolutely undeniably valuable to us gamers...... I am 34 and been gaming since the Ps1 days and glad to have had very warm and decent conversation with a fellow oldie gamer.... I think I would hit it off with your son and great I'm not a dying breed.... There is just something about owing the physical box......... It's shocking when u look at the collection and realize how much of your time on this earth you've spend gaming......

@Bentleyma-5: I think what would increase a sense of interactivity is a sort of context design game play......where the world is interactive in context to the game narrative... For example Marvel Spiderman 2018's world and hence its building are mostly non interactive based on the narrative of the game and the story of Peter and the characters..... As Spiderman you would not be going around exploring buildings like a normal guy as its never happened in the comics or movies and also Peter trying to keep his identity secret so you don't go around exploring the buildings which makes the fact the buildings are not really accessible not really matter.....

Just adding on spider man, a strange thing I noticed about the game is that it is so suited to the so called ubisoft open world model than all ubisoft open world games...... Clearing camps and bandits in a lot of ubisoft game get repetitive and boring and tiring pretty quickly in the ubisoft games........ I found clearing the criminal camps in Spiderman to be a blast and can't stop doing them when playing the games...... One i didn expect Insomniac to do was to copy GTA's clanky flight control with the pigeon chasing mission Jesus those are the one thing that blows about the game together with the bomb missions

GTA 3 San Andreas a ps2 game that was made before the cpu and gpu behemoths of today has by far most interactive and immersive open world to this day, even GTA 5 can't tie its shoes in terms of world interactivity. So having an a game with every door open able is technically possible with today's hardware but we will probably (praying and dream we get a new crazy and ambitious dev almost like a new Rockstar that pushes the envelope and goes beyond and does an everydoor is accessible type of open world ) never see such a game cause gaming now is all about having more loot boxes than having everydoor being accessible........... Actually this is were we thought gaming would move towards but it went for quick cash grabs.............. You make think I am naive to think like that but Flight Simulator 2020 says hello.... I bet you never thought anyone could make a game map that is the entire earth in super high detail granted its not as interactive but it pushes the open world building and also games such as Eve online having galaxy wide worlds........ So can't anyone make game says based in London by with every building polygon being interactive.....beign able to open all doors and access all buildings in a city.............. This is the next big jump in gaming.... And I think Cyberpunk will show us a glimpse of this interactivity............ That game is this year's GOTY hands down....... I think it will starve all games releasing after it of sales...

@Arnna.... I so agree with you..... I cannot believe how many games that have crap controls having reviews that overlook the clanky and wonky controls......... This is exactly why the Witcher 3 could never pass as a masterpiece.... It has the ***** combat control and guess what 90% of the story progression depends on combat...... Yet this is overlooked like its a miner thing and it's actually game breaking...... I still don't how the Witcher 3 is regarded as a masterpiece........ Like the combat completely goes against the character design and narrative, when in combat Gerlad never feels like a Witcher...... It would have fit perfectly if Gerald's backstory not being a Witcher but just a normal guy who is not a trained warrior or fighter or trained monster slayer........

Granted I only played its demo and the only downside is the murkey lighting like it's so dim you can't see and I hope this is fixed for the actual game.... I did play Mafia 2 and the best thing or highlight of the game for me is when you get arrested and go to jail and then you see changes of time or Era as time passes when you are in jail.... I wish more game would use this or integrate it more in games.... Haven't played Mafia 1.....

I am more looking for Mafia 3 and plan to get the trilogy as it has all 3 games but I want to know what is the significant different between this Mafia 1 definitive edition and the Mafia 1 in the triology........ Do you get anything extra with this definitive edition...... Or would it better to just get the trilogy version, will I miss out on anything..... Thanks

@Agramonte....... You completely correct for all Sony's bad communication and Microsoft Good PR......... The PS5 is the most wanted gaming device its crazy..... 8 live in South Africa and the Ps5 is first Sony console to not be avaible in our country due to it being sold............... After the showcase of the price revile I try to pre-order one but all retailers are sold out........ This has never happened before with the Ps1, ps2, ps3 and Ps4....... It's just crazy I think it's the same reason Sony are pumping production to have 11 mil PS5 in the first 3 to 6 months of the console release even the Ps4 only sold about 6 mil units in its first 3 to 6 months of release........ I think it's also the reason Microsoft are intensifying the PR with the gamers and with the aggressive acquisitions they have made......... It's like whatever Microsoft tries they just cannot tie Sony's shoes when it comes to home console gaming...... Sony is really a beast when it comes to home console.......

If you think CDPR are giving free upgrades of the W3 cause they are good guys then you are more naive than entitled.......CDPR have only 1 successfully game in their history and that is W3 and they saw that their Good guy PR stance has got them a lot of mileage with the fans and so they are milking it to death....

1. W3 is not necessarily a free upgrade on console cause on console it is a downgraded PC port, hence the free upgrade they are touting is just the PC port with the high details assets now available on console cause Ps5 can handle them so they are actually doing no extra on the upgrade hence they can afford give for free and look good while doing....

2. They have a game they have invested in haviley launching in less than 2 months and they saw how the bad press completely derailed the last of us part 2 sales moment... So they are completely milking their good guys PR status to the bone so that we buy the game by masses because they have the good guys reputation and also to make sure that any bad press that they come up as the games approaches launch gets shrugged under the carpet by the gaming community................ So stop making CDPR the gooey good guys of gaming cause they are just another company looking for profit....... Same reason No Mans Sky is the most free updated game of the generation (if not ever) because if Hello Games did not spend the whole generation not fixing their reputation they would be dead as no one would trust anything they release....... So after the shambles that was the launch of No Mans Sky we are more willing to give Hello game another chance because of the work they did not charge for all the upgrades of No Man's Sky......... So CDPR are playing the good guy rep tto the core...............

@MFTWrecks....... Good but for me to be able to agree with your statement I need you to show me in writing or a video where someone from Playstation or Sony or Sony Studios says MM is a. Playstation 5 exclusive...... They just showed the trailer and the only wording I remember seeing are the words running on Ps5 or captured on PS5............. This is exact what I asked @getsammy.....
Show me where it's mention then the article is correct other than I stick to my statement Sony never lied... People made their own assumptions that SM: MM and HFW are Ps5 exclusives that we want to accuse or blame Sony for something they never said or mentioned............ As previously stated only game specifically mentioned in writing to be a PS5 exclusive is Project Athia............not even Ratchet and Clank Rift apart HAS been mentioned as a PS5 exclusive they only said the PS5's power(i.e. The magic soup SSD) makes it possible for them to design the rifting machnic/design (i.e. The dimension jumping mechanic or design)....... So if tomorrow it also gets announced that it is available on PS5 no one should accuse Sony of any lies or misleading cause you would have done the misleading yourself........ So again I repeat Sony has not lied about anything up to so far not even the pre-order debacle can be blamed on them.... The retailers jumped the gun because they how hot a property a Playstation 5 is......

@dbunny......... You are also correct and I can't disagree with you having choice variety on the option that will give you value on your money and also not drain your pocket.......... My only issue is that Game pass is the 2014 rejected DRM that Ms wanted to pursue only this time its wrapped good customer relations gift wrapped........ MS become interested in gaming when Doom outsold windows back in the day Bill gates could not believe the buy rate/ product attach rate for something that was in essence a virtual plaything or virtual toy....... There is no way MS will deep such deep funds on the Xbox division just to give value to customers..... In the short term it will be good value to entice to sub............. In the long term gaming and gaming design will drastically change such that we will no longer get Fifa with its stagnant offline modes but Fifa will just be Ultimate Team........... You can forget about Fallout 5 (if you did like Fallout to begin with) but expect the next Fallout to follow right on the heels of Fallout 76............so when they get their sub numbers then in the next Fallout 77 after paying the Game pass sub...... When you stream the game you will then get and pay mtx and loot boxes just for the character creation screen..........if this Game pass Model was sustainable then Anthem would still be an existing thing and EA would never have aboned it....... Game pass is bringing more Anthem like games, right now they are just hooking you with the low entry prices but you will pay through your nose down the line.......... I know $70 - $80 is a big and unexpected price hike, but don't you think the devs deserve it (I know publishers get an unfair because they are greedy) and also if we are being honest... .we have been under paying for gaming for years....and I'm not defending the price hike as I'm from South Africa and the price of the Ps5 games will cost R1500.00 a pop and this amount is about 10% of standard salary.....so for me each game will cost 10% of my paycheck....but the dev absolutely deserve..... The last thing I want is to be owned by Ms, Google, Amazon or Apple...

I know I am a dying breed of gamers as gaming will soon consider gamers like me obsolete in about 7 to 10 years time as everything is moving to online and servers and no physical ownership........... Some other gamer commented on another article that sometimes I wish gaming never went mainstream and was still considered the basement dwelling geek activity... Those were the freaking days.. When gaming was just about nothing but games......were you make a game and if it's amazing it would sell by the truckloads and everybody is happy.... Non of this subs. Mtx, server gaming, online nonsense, loot boxes, GAAS and all this crap...... If you made a game and wanted it sell....you made a damn good game......and if gamers...found it good it sold.......

Man I wish games would take the way of the game "Inside"(ONE OF THE GAMES OF THE CURRENT GENERATION ON MY LIST) were the game told its story as it wanted and did its thing and just left it like that.... No expansions, dlcs, patches... Just pure gaming....

@AntonioJCulb..... Really doesn't matter if its Youtubers from Mars, Pluto, the Sun or Youtubers from the black whole......... Fact is Youtubers who are influencers during this rampant online times we live in and have obscene following and influence on their channels, corporates now prefer them even E3 2020 had planned to have influences(including Youtubers) at the forefront of the event.... So for the Ps5 hands on it could be Youtubers from the galaxy outside our Milky-way........ They have more influence that corporates(in this case Playstation) like... Hence they get first dibs on the PS5..... It would have been nice if it was just normal gamers being giving the PS5 to showcase its game play................

Also for the Last Of Us Part II, it could have been Youtubers from another Universe entirely and still the sales momentum of the would have died the same............ Point is these Youtubers are so influential they can make or break the sales of a products that's why YouTube pays them insane amounts for their channels.....

Godfall is looking bang average to your eyes and you have a right to agree with your eyes and mind which means you have not been impressed by what's shown so far which is fine and it means you probably not gonna get the game which is also perfectly fine and this is your choice. But then why try to take away other people's choices by giving underseved bad press to the game... There people working on Godfall is their lively hoods and they are putting their hearts and souls into the game, now you want to rob them of their hard earned money by spreading negativity about the game without even playing it or see it running in full resulting in less sales for the game. I bet the Witcher also looked bang everage before in gained its popularity.......... Why you doing is the same reason The last of part 2 sales momentum was derailed because of you tubers leaking the game before release and spreading negative around the game...... We all know that word of mouth is more powerful than any expensive marketing campaign and in gaming in particular word of mouth is how a lot of business is done........e.g GTA 3 is good technically as game and it change gaming by opening up the a gaming that could be freely explored by the player as they like...... The game went viral not much because of reviews.....but more because when the game launch as a gamer you either heard another gaming talking up the game or your friends were taking about it and that how a lot of people tried the game and it exploded...................... Same reason Fifa and COD sell obscene amounts each no matter how bad state they release in........... It's okay to not like a game but please stop spreading negatively on the work of people who lives depend on it......... If you don't like rather keep it your selves...... The only time gamers should vent and rant is when we get released games such as Anthem, WWE 2k20 and No Man's sky(in its initial release state)........ I mean look at days gone... All the press gave it a thumbs down.... Yet the good press of the word of mouth from gamers made a lot of people who were not sure about the game to buy which will probably result us in getting a sequal and also Sony potentially funding Bend to finally revive the Simphton series....... Otherwise if it was not the good pree from gamers Sony might have canned the sequal and got Bend to work on some else errelant or even just close the studio...... If you like gaming please always keep in mind the souls putting their sweat into games this is what allows the industry to thrive when we have different games and experiences........

OH on another note I think world in CP2077 looks great.... The combat is probably gonna be biggest thing about the game...... The story or narrative so far from what has been is absolutely bang avarage And generic.......also they ripped off Quantico dreams Detroid Become Human mechanic on their mind heck game play they should in on of the gamplay showcase and I was not impressed by it cause Quantico Dream did it better on Detroit Become Human.......... But that's my opinion.....

@NEStalgia........ Man you took the words outta my mouth..... I think as PS fans we should start boycotting towards Sony and demand Jim Ryan gets fired and Shawn Layden to be reinstated........ It's no coincidence that communication from Playstation started to dry the moment they changed executives....... I mean Shawn let us know what is going on o a constant basis and made Playstation as whole more transparent.... Jim Ryan is just more of a corporate shilll.... Since being in charge he has said absolutely nothing outside of the showcase events.... They guys has been in the job for almost 2 years now..... Gaming cannot afford the Playstation to not be at the top...........cause without playstion gaming as we know it falls completely apart............. The currently status and value of gaming to due to one device only and that is the playstation..... Nintendo had an iron grip on gaming before Sony entered they were treating devs and publishers like slaves and the like...... Sony came in and gave devs and publishers economic and artistist freedom hence the explosion of unforgettable experiences on the ps1 and this interim allowed dev and publishers to grow as they have grown today.... It's the same reason the Ps1 is the only gaming device with so many remaster and remakes and still request for more remakes and remaster..... Why because that system as weak as it maybe regarded by today's hardware standards it gave unforgettable gaming that is still yearned for to this day.......... Even Square Enix and Activision are as Big as they are because of Sony entering the gaming industry. Sony should wake up soon than later.......

You know I always have this thought that when Sony was buying up Naughty Dog back in the day....... What if they also added Rockstar during THOSE DAYS.... my God the playstation would be untouchable

It's not value for money..... How can something you don't own become value for money... Please explain that to me....... This all thing is design to make not think and then hook you into the sub....... The system is currently bleeding money...... Who do you think will pay back all the money they are loosing in their drive to get people to sub to Gamepass............. Gaming budgets are dwarfing movie budgets and are getting closer to the billion mark................ MS dont give a rats ass bout consumer value or satisfaction.... They plan is to do the Google Play Store version in gaming........ Think about it when you have an android phone...... You phone is intrinsically tied to Google even though you did not buy the phone from Google....... Over 95% of every software for Android needs you to be tied to Google........ And look at the garbage and vapour of most of the app on the play store..... Half of the apps you can't use if you are not constantly connected. To the internet cause you have to view adverts in order to be able to fully use the apps...... This is were MS wants to take gaming....... . Look at how they have the pc market by The balls because everything game on Pc need Direct X to run......

True that and you are very much correct but think what it will do to the moment for the PS5 if Sony just announce they have brought Game Science Studios and Black Myth is coming exclusively for the PS5...... That would kill all Xboxs momentum....... We really need Sony to remain on top of gaming for the sake of gaming....... Mif MS, Amazon, Google or Apple budge their into gaming dominance then gaming is we know will be dead........ I mean let's be honest for all eh talk of Game pass and Microsoft good customer relations as perceived....... I have not seen a single hint from that they are even interested in Single Player Games.... These games are the staples of the industry............. Everything thing else that is not SP game is just a store front for the background Mtx, loot boxes, GAAS and all the like.... I mean even Rpgs today are designed with in game spending in mind........ We will also never ever get GTA at the same level of fun and detail as say GTA SA why because of GTA5 online do you honestly think R* will give the same attention to GTA6...... So it's doom and gloom when other dev do it but all roses when CDPR does....... @themcnoisy...... Unfortunately as much I don't want to admit it...... The youtubers are now very important to gaming...... They single handedly kill the sales momentum of The Last of Us part II........... If you where in a coma after the E3 2018 game play showcase you wouldn't know that the game has been released and this is a big AAA blockbuster 1st party title release....... But it's sales and gaming community discussion was kille by the Youtubers..... That's why they are getting first dibs on the PS5....

Heck even Epic is buying up studios quicker than Sony....just found out Epic bought to dev for Rocket League I mean this game lieterry launched on the Ps4...... They are just frustrating sometimes....... I wish they were as aggressive as the ps1 days where they would completely obliterate any competitor who dropped the ball....... Sony needs to realize they playing very key role in gaming without them we would no longer own our games and we would game streaming and subscription slaves and all games will go GAAS..... Each update is awesome but you spend an hour or 2 on it then you realize as a game its still lacks direction....... Make no mistake in terms of exploration, survival, inventory management and grinding no game comes close..... I think Hello games should hire a narrative developer to create a narrative or story for the game so there becomes a purpose tied to the game play................this game was released when it was far off from release.............

@get2sammyb....... The problem is not the price increase, the problem is us gamers and the pre-orders... Pre-orders are cncet to gaming the we gamers keep feeding and you game journalists don't point this out........ The dot-com buuble was burst because during that phase instead of it being about the booming of technology it became about speculators/investors...... All those it companies that came up during that time got ate up by each and every one of them chasing the IPO pipedream... And this is what we have brought with Pre-orders to Gaming....... Right now Sony can focust debt by projecting estimated revenue/profit based on the number of Pre-orders currently being placed for the Ps5 and this projection will be shown to investors who will then want to pump in more money into Sony to maximize their ROI............and this is done through us paying through our noses now(price hikes) .............. This is what you guys in the gaming media should really clamp down and shout about to the roof that Mtx and pre-orders should be eradicated from gaming..... Gaming should go back to when the pressure was on the developer/publisher to release a game good enough to make gamers part with their money........... Think about it.... Gameplay has not developed so much because everyone is focusing on the graphical wow factor to then release a trailer to generate hype and secure pre-orders......there not a single game that has Gameplay that suggest the Gameplay implementation costs 100s of million dollars.... It's the graphics that make game development expensive........... You just murdered the Fast n Furious game because it had not so modern crisp graphics.........even if some parts of the game are good, your review just killed the game purely on graphics..... Same reason Fifa always gets minimum of 8 from all reviewers in the gaming(never seen the game review below 7 no matter how bad or unplayable even fif2020 reviewed 8 last and we know that game was a messy because it always gets shiny modern graphics that get emphasized in each review...... So to stop this spiriling of prices you guys must start calling MTX AND PRE-ORDERS......... Hopefully we get the same price drop off on games as in this Gen..... But I have a feeling it might not be as much as it was in the current Gen..
